We are a locally owned souther cusine restaurant that sources some of our ingredients we cook with are sourced from local and regional farms, dairies and ranches guided by principles of sustainability when possible. EVERYTHING we make (vegetables, sides, sauces, accompaniments, dressings, soups, fries, etc.) is made FROM SCRATCH. It takes longer to prepare and costs us a lot more to our bottom line, but at the end of the day we fell better knowing that we’re serving the community great food while supporting “the little guy.”
We also have local beers on tap, an extensive wine list and craft cocktails.
corn pudding, squash & zucchini, honey dill glaze
Shrimp & Grits
gulf coast shrimp, stone ground grits, andouille, corn, roasted tomatoes, sherry tomato sauce
pineapple pico de gallo, shredded lettuce, jalapeo slices, chipotle ranch, white corn tortillas
Family was in town and we wanted a nice but casual lunch close to home and this was perfect! Food was fantastic! Can’t wait to go back!
Had reservations online, we arrived st the scheduled time and were told the restaurant was closing early. They did not call in advance or offer us any accomodation
Our favorite nearby restaurant with good food and drink. We have befriended staff to first name basis.
Great lunch. Tables were seated at a distance and food was excellent!
We were glad to be back in the dining room!! The meal & drinks were amazing as always!!!
I ordered a muffaleta sundwich, but it was absolutely NOTHING like any muffaleta I've ever had and I don't think anyone from New Orleans would find it acceptable. The sandwich had almost no zing to it, olive tampenade almost non-existent, and stacked high with some odd looking meat. I ate 1/4 and took the rest home to my husband, who also didn't like it.
My friend did have a great looking house salad, and we enjoyed the pimento cheese in a crock, although not as much as I remembered it.
We had a chocolate chip cookie for dessert, but it took FOREVER for them to bring it to us and then it seemed the cookie was under cooked and the ice cream nothing special.
The service was very, very, VERY slow, but a pleasant server. I know it's COVID times and took that into account and left a nice tip, but the service was frustrating.
I MIGHT recommend Sprig with reservations, no pun intended.
Outstanding as always!!
I ordered fried chicken. It was tough and tasted like it had been cooked yesterday and warmed up. The roasted potatoes were barely warm and soggy and the green beans were over-done. Probably the most disappointing meal I’ve had at Sprig. On a positive note we were able to make a reservation and sit on the patio. My friends had small plates which they liked and the pimento cheese was good as usual
The food was fresh and delicious, the salmon was cooked to perfection. Accompanying okra side was fresh and crisp, the mock tail was refreshing.
The staff is friendly, the food is delicious, and there is more whiskey behind the bar than you could ever try. Love this place and hope it sticks it out through covid.
Everything was exceptional! Will definitely be back!
Smiling, friendly staff.Very pleasant and relaxing.
Terrific farm to table room with great seasonal options. We have eaten here several times and have never been disappointed - so much so that they catered our wedding! Hope it is around for a long time to come.
There were no other customers. So the service was great and the food was cooked perfectly.
Always a delicious meals and great service. We had fried green tomatoes, shrimp and grits and the pimento cheese burger.
Service was killer. Always a great experience here and the Grit fries are legit. Favorite place in ATL area.
My lamb stroganoff was nasty. I guess I ordered the wrong thing. I have been here before and I think my meals were OK. I would give it another chance. The best thing about the event was it was only one of the few places open to eat in during the COVID outbreak. Good that they are still paying employees, but it might be a place for future infections. We took the chance. Thanks for providing us a place to meet.
Very nice experience except it was kind of loud but understood. Food was awesome-the Chef should be commended highly! Keep up the great work! Loved it overall!!
Great food and service
Sprig is a nice restaurant with excellent food. However on my last trip it was less than acceptable. The waitress was obviously new and not experienced. She was very polite and pleasant which made for a nice experience, however, twice we received RT warm coffee. Sprig is an expensive restaurant and I don't feel I am asking too much that your coffee be warm and not have to continually request it be sent back to be microwaved.
Based on my last visit, no, I would not reccomend Sprig.
We enjoyed delicious food, great service and a friendly atmosphere for a friend's birthday. A special treat!
Love being at Sprig! Such a cozy neighborhood spot with great service and great food. Always reliable. Thanks.
I have been to Sprig only for brunch before and it did not meet my expectations for dinner. The risotto with my scallops was hard and undercooked. My fiance's shrimp and grits were very bland and tasteless. We felt as if the entire meal and experience was extremely over priced for what we received. The food was just sub-par. Beautiful restaurant and ambiance though!
Nest salmon fillet I have ever had. And the Bourbon selection was extraordinary. Will be a do over.
Food is delicious and they use choice ingredients. Tables are tight and it is on the noisy side so not my first choice for a romantic meal, but our party of 8 was completely satisfied with our meals and we made it to a show at the Vista room in plenty of time.
Our server was professional and friendly. Our table was wiggly and she fixed it! We had a great meal and ordered desert with coffee. The coffee came out and we had finished it before the desert arrived. A bit annoying. The desert, which was suppose to be a fresh apple cobbler was really an apple spread, no apple slices in a chewy mediocre crust. I always look forward to a fresh apple cobbler but not this one. But over all, a pleasant experience.
We were disappointed with the food for the third time. I think they changed chefs within the past year and we could really tell. The service was great but the food did not have the same charm. I ordered the salmon with the vegetables and the snow peas were tough and stringy. I wish we would have had a better experience.
Nice evening with friends. It was their first time and they said they would be back!
We’ve been here several times and will continue to go back.
We had a wonderful experience at Sprig Restaurant. I live in Midtown but was looking for something new for my lover and I 😋 to try in Decatur. This place was definitely worth the drive and did not disappoint. The food was very good and flavorful... "The Pimento cheese with Bacon Jam on top" gets a gold ☆ from me (appetizer). I had to get some to go.
Also our waiter "Keon with the cool beard" service was top notch👌 I dont know if it's the restaurants training but he definitely made us feel like we were very important and treated us with much high level class.
They also mention specials every night of the week and I think they're trying to make us regulars. Sprig it's working....yes we will come again.
We were seated at table in front of restaurant in the window and either waitress kept forgetting about us or was overbooked. Took way too long to get initial drinks or refills. We are regulars and this was abnormally poor service. We’d have ordered another round of drinks if the service had been better.
Great menu, delicious food, nice presentation. The place is always packed. Need I say more?
We went here on Sunday for my husband’s 30th birthday dinner. He’s a big bourbon lover and he was very impressed with the bourbon menu! The Brussels sprouts, grit fries and pasta carbonara were all delicious. The service was great. The atmosphere was cozy and casual. Loved the Nectarita and appreciated the waitress’ recommendation to add jalapeños!
We had a very good dining experience. The salmon and the Halibut special was well prepared and tasty.
Wonderful meal for family Valentine’s Day + 1 dinner. All the food was excellent, noise level was fine. Attentive service as well.
The food and service was excellent! Exceptional whiskey and bourbon list! Delicious and affordable food!
Sprig is consistently and reliably a good choice for a meal with friends. The service is friendly and low-key. The food is good — we all enjoyed what we ordered. The staff was gracious about our lingering to visit over and after a late lunch. We’ll be back!
Terrible service. Waited 30 min for drinks alone. Got drink order from bar wrong. Brought dinner while still eating appetizers. Food not good. Steak overcooked.
Fabulous gem nestled in our neighborhood, walking distance from home. 4-5 star dining with seasonal farm to table fare, best bourbon selection around, and great special events/holiday menus!
Great food and service with a laid-back atmosphere, always one of our favorites!
