A one-of-a-kind cevicheria and oyster bar is the centrepiece to St Clair, where guests can watch the highly skilled chefs prepare ceviche and oysters, sipping on a glass or two of Champagne, wine or sake. The fish boutique allows customers to choose fish from the daily changing counter to take away and cook at home, or the kitchen can prepare and cook the fish for customers if they wish.<

My disappointment at the recent closure of The Dairy has been mollified by the arrival of St Clair. Excellent food and friendly service on both recent visits - I shall be returning again and again.

Absolutely loved our dinner at st Clair! The food, wine, service and vibe was all incredible. 100% recommend!!
Didn't get the window seat as requested as we were an hour late, however happy that they were still able to accommodate us and found room for us at the bar - being a bar virgin it was a very pleasant and comfortable experience. Also being an oyster virgin - only ordered the one, which surprisingly I really enjoyed - this was followed by the seabass for the main, which was cooked to perfection. My partner had the baby ribs - which was the only meat dish on the menu and not to his liking. Suggestion from my partner - more options of meat dishes 2 would be great (I know its a fish restaurant). But I thoroughly enjoyed the food and the experience, the service was also very good. Do not go if your a lover of meat, as you will be very disappointed. The next visit I will leave my other half at home.

But the food wasn’t as good, prawns overcooked and the ceviche tasted like vinegar only. The dessert was very good.

Lovely food and environment
The food here is simply amazing! Such a hidden gem just off Clapham Common. I wondered why I haven’t discovered this place before only to realise that it’s only been open since January and then it made sense as I was dubious when I saw only 80 odd reviews. I ordered the sea bass and I was definitely not disappointed. Succulent and well cooked, perfection! I will definitely be coming here again and the wine list was also exemplary. Superb french white wines which also adds to their impeccable attention to detail. I would also recommend Mackermole as a starter. Enjoy!

Honestly one of the best meals I’ve ever had! We had oysters, the bread with gruyere (amazing!) and the short ribs and prawn pot. It was all delicious and the service was excellent. Couldn’t recommend this place enough and already planning on coming back soon.

What an amazing find, this was the most delicious supper that I have had in ages. The ceviche was delicious, the Tuna Tataki sublime and the service perfect.

Lovely food , but we had a table at 7:30 and they had already sold out of 1 of the 6 mains so choices were limited.
There was also no social distancing
Four of us ate here the day after the 10 pm closing time was imposed. We had to wait for our table for about 10 minutes but they are obviously trying to offer as many dining times as possible, which we thought fair enough. We had to exit promptly but it was done with flair and pleasantness.
Table was nicely spaced away from the other tables and the Maitre D and his staff were great - they refilled our water glasses frequently and without being asked.
The only complaint was too much red onion in the St Clair Ceviche but this is not a deal breaker by any means. The rest of our food and delish Picpoul made it a great night. Thanks St Clair!
Service was very friendly and helpful but a bit slow and patchy. Food was ok. There are other establishments that are much tastier so felt a bit over priced.

Great meal - food and service excellent, one niggle which doesn't really matter is I was not able to sit at a table (which i specified) and had to sit at a counter.
I have been to St Clair twice now and thoroughly enjoyed it on both occasions. The food is delicious with incredibly fresh seafood and the wine list is expansive with interesting wines from around the world. The service in particular made the experience on both occasions very special. Our waiter Vojta was very attentive, giving excellent recommendations on both the food and the wine. Will definitely be visiting again soon.

The gem lettuce with pistachio cream is the best salad dish I’ve ever tasted. Exceptional balance of flavours.

Classy, white tablecloth, with neighbourhood feel. En terrace is nice but the street is a bit busy. The best table comes out at dinnertime: bar against the window facing the street.

Was disappointing, starters were great, but main was extremely cold and was sent back. It was replaced after a short while, but still not what you expect for £50 a head. Staff did little to make up for this - only gave a sympathetic tote bag on departure. To add to disappointment, only found out on receipt of the bill that the restaurant was not doing eat out to help out - although we should have confirmed this beforehand.
Had a wonderful Lunch at St.Clair . The oysters were sublime and the wine selection was superb. Drank rather a lot of it and pin balled my way home. Would definitely revisit for a second round.
The Nikkei cheese bread - absolute taste sensation, along with the king prawns, the oysters and the moqueca. Fab dinner, fab night, slightly pricey but well worth the splurge for a treat.

A succinct and well designed fish and seafood menu that's bursting with flavour and meticulously prepared and presented. We had the king prawns which were HUGE, meaty, perfectly cooked and delicately flavoured to perfection. The truffled cheese bread is a Brazilian staple with an original twist. So delicious we ordered a second portion.
The house Ceviche is a spicy, fragrant refreshing delight, with the perfect flavour combination. Works as a single main course or could equally be shared as an extra starter. The catch of the day when we visited was a choice between halibut and seabass. We ent with the pan fried halibut paired with new potatoes and a green rice dish. Utterly delicious.
Desert was Strawberry Sunrise - a vanilla short crust pastry, rompope, custard, lemon crust, cassis gel, fresh berries meringue sesame seed ice cream. Impeccable crunchy flavoursome buttery pastry, crisp fruit flavours, light, the perfect balance of sweet and healthy.
Carefully crafted wine list with a delicious Riesling and a Rose that's so good you should just order the bottle - you'll want more than a glass as soon as you take your first sip.
