   This was a random choice for Sunday lunch for my wife and I. We booked on line which may or may not have been a drawback. When we arrived, we were greeted by people walking around in political party paraphenalia and realised we'd unwittingly walked into the launch campaign by their local member. Some advanced notice of this fact would have certainly caused us to change our booking. That said, the staff were lovely and the food was light but tasty and served promptly. The St Leonard's Rose we chose to accompany our food was excellent and the perfect choice for the steamy weather. We wiil go again with friends but call first so we don't get mixed up in something we have zero interest in.

   The service was terrible, we waited over 1.5 hour for our food/ drinks. Food was overpriced, $32 for a Wagyu burger - which was fine if it was indeed a burger, but what we got was a mini slider that was overcooked, burnt and tough. It was pretty much inedible. The kingfish tostada (3 pcs) but what we got was one tostada with 3 tiny pieces of kingfish - what a joke! Chicken fingers were basically burnt but as the kids were hungry we did not send it back. They were clearly understaffed, unorganized and totally unprepared for their first day of re-opening. No one came to clear our plates or empty glasses, so we were sitting at our table with dirty plates and glasses stacked all around us. It was the same for the other customers as well. Overall it was such a disappointing experience as we were all looking forward to having a nice lunch at a beautiful winery. Please review your menu and prices and also the quality of your food!!

    We visited with friends from Melbourne. The planets aligned as the weather was perfect... Service was excellent and the food was high standard... the location near the Murray is pleasant.. family friendly

    We really enjoyed the day, thank you. Wine was good, food was good and music. Kids were a little noisy but they were well behaved just play noise. Planning to come again!

    We had a family catch up and needed somewhere with an outlook, good food and felt like an experience whilst being casual. St Leonard’s did all of that. The staff were friendly, my father in-law who uses a frame could get around, the food was great and the outlook fantastic. We will be back

    The singing & live music was too loud, it ruined the atmosphere. The ambience would be much better if the back ground music was softer. The afternoon was very uncomfortable & we had to dine quickly & leave. My birthday lunch with my family was not enjoyable.

    The experience was a little disappointing. Firstly, on arrival we did not go where to wait for service, Secondly when we went to collect the food, two of the four ordered dishes were not available for pickup (no record of the order at the kitchen) and thirdly, the steak (2 orders) were cold (we expected a hot or warm serving) and the fish pie was very runny (the potato thickened it up). Although the venue was fine and the ambience good, I doubt we will return.

    A visit to Rutherglen to catch up with friends could not have been more enjoyable than sitting out on the verandah at St Leonards. Watching a beautiful bride succeed in her third attempt to get married due to covid helped to create such a happy atmosphere. We rated our food as the best meal any of us eaten in previous months and thanked the chef directly. I can't wait for my next visit to the district!!

    Went for a Sunday lunch as a friend recommended the place saying food was really good. She was right, it did not disappoint. I booked through Open Table and requested Standard dining as opposed to outside as it was a bit windy. When we arrived we were showed to a table outside anyway which was ok as it was a lovely setting.. perhaps better than inside. We were told we had to order inside which was ok but then informed it was pay as you order. We were given a buzzer and told we had to collect our food. But much to our surprise the lovely chef personally brought our meals to us. They were beautifully cooked and presented. The staff were actually lovely and very friendly. Overall we enjoyed but it is more casual than most wineries which is great for families. I believe your furry friends are welcome to. Will definitely return. ,

    Lovely lazy Sunday lunch. We were a party 6 and everyone enjoyed their meals. We had the steak, the chicken and the pasta with pumpkin. All delicious.

    Beautiful setting, overlooking vineyard and river tributary. The food was very tasty ... but ... interesting. Consistency was an issue. Four at our table ordered the same dish, and no two were alike. Mine was missing a chief component.

    Thank you to the St Leonard’s team for making our celebratory lunch with our friends extra special!! The wine was fabulous as was the food and the service. We can’t wait for our next visit! St Leonards Vineyard is an absolute must visit winery within the Rutherglen region.

    Fabulous food and service. it was 38 degrees and very windy but were able to have a table in the cafe away from the elements. On a better weather day you can eat outdoors under umbrellas with river views. Absolutely worth a visit.

    We were given a voucher as a Christmas present and chose to come to St Leonards because the menu suited us better. We were warmly greeted by all the staff who assisted us in wine selection (something I know nothing about). We sat by the kitchen and had a lovely conversation with Jack the chef. The baba ganoush and lamb shoulder were excellent and just hit the mark. We enjoyed our experience.
