Good locally sourced food. Very friendly staff- very prompt. All interactions were done via internal chat. Staff fully covid compliant. Our dining space was inhabited by staff only when called. Chef delivered the food directly to us. We had an individual room (most were individual). There was a fireplace and a well-stocked bar. Drinks were delicious. Thanks for making our one and only dining experience safe and delicious!!!
Wonderful menu, fresh ingredients, superbly prepared.
We understand it's hard for all restaurants during Covid, so I write this understanding that. The Stagecoach has been our favorite place for years. This time, however, the food was very mediocre and the glass of wine I ordered was only about 1/4 full, so a clear difference from past experiences there.
This is my favorite restaurant in the area. I've come here for my birthday (among many special occasions) for years. The ambience is simply unmatched. An exceptional dining experience with friendly and welcoming service. This restaurant is not to be missed.
Everything was perfect. The fire was waiting for us in a private nook way earlier than our scheduled time. We had the room all night with candles, fire, historic charm. The timing was perfect on the 6 course meal and items and drink pairings on the winter tasting menu were also diverse yet familiar. Staff friendly and accommodating. Elegant and historic without being pretentious or outdated. Highly recommend.
One of my favorite restaurants in the world, most special dining experience in the area. Book a room by the fire and order everything ... you won’t be disappointed
Perfection. A safe, romantic, delectable experience! Couldn't have asked for anything more from the food, drinks, or ambiance.
Absolutely loved everything about this place! It was nice to be back in Sheffield after graduating from Berkshire in 2006. A warm, cozy atmosphere with phenomenal food and extraordinarily accommodating staff!
What a wonderful, quaint find for a great socially-distanced meal with great ambiance. Will definitely be our go-to on our ski weekends!
Local place with farm to table quality. Great staff and covid aware. Totally going back!
Went for my birthday with 2 friends. In November it was too cold for most outdoor dining, but the fire pit abs heaters here made it cozy. The food was delicious and they are really on top of safety with ordering through online chat. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Even the indoor space was completely divided into private rooms. Beautiful setting.
Thanksgiving! Everyone was amazingly helpful and accommodating!
Great dinner, good food, ambience was really the thing here. I've never been to a restaurant with these vibes. This dinner was out of a movie, absolutely perfect and romantic without being over the top. Definitely a great date spot.
We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience to celebrate my Husbands 50th birthday. Although it was 54 degrees and we were bundled up since we prefer outdoor dining thanks to COVID, we sat near a fire pit and were offered a patio heater as well! Service was amazing, including bday singing and food was delicious! Highly recommend!
Amazing food and server was great. Will absolutely come here again.
Wow what a wonderful place! Cozy cabin feel. Warm and inviting atmosphere lit by candlelight. Great selection of food and beverage. I will definitely be back when I return to the area!
Food portions were on the small side, but quality of food was very good..
Wow! We had an absolutely delicious meal. And what a well thought out plan to keep everyone safe and warm. Even though it was a pretty cold night, Staff kept adding wood to the firepit and snugged the heatlamps right up to the tables. And the strung lights made for a special ambience in these tough times. Thank you, Stagecoach Tavern!
The staff at stagecoach tavern are so friendly and welcoming. We loved the ambiance of the vintage decor, numerous fireplaces / fire pits.
It was so welcoming and the food was amazing! We loved the history of the building and the decor.
We made a reservation to sit outside. It was a chilly night and our table was out on the lawn. We were unfamiliar with the online service model and also had difficulty with the wifi at our table. We had to move away from our table toward the building to connect. There was a fire around two other tables but the outdoor stove near our table was out until we asked that it be lighted.
The inside seemed very inviting and we might try indoors when we venture there again.
The food was out of this world. The staff made it all very good to great even with all the covid wonders we all have to live with. Can't wait to eat there again.

It was one of the worst restaurant experiences. I was there to have my birthday dinner and specified it was a birthday dinner on my OpenTable reservation.
I've ordered a glass of Rose. The color was as red as it was a glass of red and tasted like vinegar. And I was told it was supposed to be. I got a glass of Chardonnay, which was good.
I also ordered the MEDIUM Skirt Steak Frits. It came WELL DONE. And the host told me she would get me a new one. When the server brought food, she dropped a small bowl of caramelized onion on the ground, and she said she would bring it again, which she had never done. I waited 30 minutes and canceled my steak and peach cobbler on the order text. Then the host came and told me she forgot to place the order. The ordered were done by TEXT as an un-contact service.
She also said she would comp us the peach cobbler since it was already made. We had it to go. When I opened the container, I was in shock. It looked like someone's leftover dessert.
Always a wonderful night out!
Meal was fine. It’s looks I need of a refresh to a clean colonial look.
The staff was informative, respectful, and attentive in these COVID dining days. They have a clear, efficient, and safe process for outdoor dining. Backyard was lovely: campfires, lights, and candles. Food is delicious and healthy.
The menus is too vegan.
We come to Race Brook Lodge annually and eat at the Stagecoach each night for dinner. As always, this weekend the food was delicious, wine was delicious, and the service was great!
Atmosphere was great - quiet, antique setting. Food was very good - tasty and well-proportioned.
Awkward at the signing ceremony (because of COVID, I'm sure), when asked "How much would you like to tip?" They tell you that the wait staff makes a living wage, so tipping is not necessary, but appreciated. They don't tell you, until after you have eaten, that they have raised the prices to do this. That could be handled better.
Good food, generous portions, friendly and efficient staff. Safe and stress-free environment in the midst of covid 19 times.
Wonderful food and lovely servers! (Especially Evie)! Great place to eat during Covid or anytime. Lots of outdoor seating!
Amazing food and experience while still feeling very safe with all their COVID precautions. Can’t wait to go back! Burger was especially amazing.
We love stagecoach! During these Covid times they are extremely careful. Beautiful outdoor spaces to dine. Food is excellent. Salmon was perfectly cooked. And best burger in the Berkshires.
They were understaffed for dinner. The one waitress seemed harried and was impatient. We left before our food arrived. I would not go back.
Fine food, gracious staff, safe outdoor dining with well-spaced tables.
The Bugs outside made it impossible to enjoy the meal. I couldn’t stop scratching my feet and ankles the entire meal or on the drive home.
The food was good, though 2 small scallops wasn’t really sufficient to be an entire appetizer.
Specialty cocktail (ginger, gin) was amazing as was an endive salad (absolutely incredible). Interesting, delicious dessert. Attentive staff. Conveniently located at lodge where we were staying after skiing at Catamount.
The chef is amazing. Combined with the fabulous ambience of an authentic 18th century tavern, his cooking means a great evening will be had. Oh, and the bartender’s concoctions are fantastic...
I try not to write negative reviews for restaurants I dine in unless its extremely necessary.
We arrived 15 minutes early planning to have a drink at the bar but we were told by the host Ivan that the bar would not serve any drinks to customers till they have a table because they were overbooked. After waiting 10 minutes, the bartender comes around to the waiting area where my wife and I with 3 women were sitting with a tray that had drinks for the girls. I didn't want to start anything and kept quiet, a few minutes later, two young men went up to the bar and the same as us, were rejected and told they were not serving. I called the host over and told him that they cannot pick and choose who to serve at the bar, he was a complete blank with no response. The women overheard my conversation and trying to defend the bartender, the reason why they got drinks is because they didn't have a table and they knew him.. I'm like "what"??? that's ridiculous, either you serve at the bar or you don't!!.
we were sat at our table which had been empty since we walked in after waiting 45 minutes, believe me, if there were other restaurants in the area, we would have left.
Dinner was average, half roasted chicken barely any spices or herbs and scallops were way too salty.
After we paid for the dinner, the host comes over and says " Hope dinner was good and I'm glad we made that happen for you guys". I replied back astonished and said " you know we had a reservation right"? he replied back "yes" so I said, why did you just make it sound like you did us a favor? We paid for your fair services and will never come back"! I would not reccomend this restaurant and for sure will never go back.
The venison was awesome! They tend to run out of things (I’ve been there 3x and menu items were gone by 7:30!) BUT the good thing is the whole menu is yummy! Really cool drink menu too!
