I am sad because my favourite applewood salmon burger is not on the menu anymore.
Six guests, dinners arrived together, service was excellent!
Our waitress was amazing and so friendly. We ordered 2 Margaritas and they were terrible. We told our waitress and she took them back ... no problem! She agreed that something was wrong with them. Our food was very good!! We had a party of 4 and their was no complaints on the food! Again ... our waitress was amazing!!
overall it was a disappointing night. The chicken bites had significantly cooled down by the time they were served. The French onion soup was ok. I found the menu lacking in interesting choices. I would not choose to return. At one point the music was significantly turned up and was too loud.
My husband and I came in late for some light food and a drink on a Tuesday night. Our waitress was super friendly. However, the food was disappointing for the price. I ordered the French Onion Soup and a side Cesar salad. The soup alone was over $9 for a very small bowl that was mostly filled with bread pieces which soaked up most of the broth and a thick layer of cheese that was a little overbearing. I love cheese, but this was excessive. The proportions of broth, bread and cheese could be more balanced and a slightly bigger bowl for that price. My husband got the Tuna Poke Bowl and had to send it back to the kitchen for being drenched in way too much soy sauce. All you could taste is salt. He asked for the soy sauce on the side and didn’t end up using any of it. The bowl already comes with some sauce mixed in and didn’t need the extra soy. Maybe we didn’t order any of their signature dishes, but our meal was disappointing. The friendly and helpful service was great through. Definitely 5-stars for service staff!

Husband had the salmon burger with apple smoked bacon. He doesn't usually like bacon in burgers but he said it was really good. My son had the fish and chips and it was a large piece of fish. Nicely fried not too oily. My chicken enchiladas was good but there was so much cheese!
Waiter was great and attentive. Awfully quiet for a Friday evening.
Enjoyed the experience. For a lunch timeslot, I did find the noise level high and a bit hard to talk to my guest.
Not sure what was going on there tonight, but service was SO SLOW. It took ONE HOUR for our family of 4 to get our meal, and when it finally arrived, my husband's burger was cold. AND this was my husband's birthday dinner, to boot!! Definitely not returning anytime soon. Or ever. We'll see.

Went to celebrate a graduation. Food was great! Service was great! A little slow but it was busy so we understood.
Service time was very long between sitting, ordering a drink and delivery of drink. Initially not all parties where asked for their meal order, 3 out of 4 people.
Excuse was that kitchen was swamped. Restaurant 50% full.

Kim was awesome! Our food was hot and came quickly! I was disappointed in my drink. It was a frozen drink, and wouldn't thaw enough for me to drink it! I left over half of it. Next time, I won't order that drink.
WE were the problem with the noise level, apparently! A couple of ladies moved away from us gals because of our laughter. (ooops!) But our server told us not to worry about it. Great experience. Excellent food!

It was much of what one would expect from a sports bar.
The food was good with lots of great vegetarian options and the service was outstanding!
Service was exceptional. The steak and the calamari were tasty. The butter chicken bowl and the tuna poke bowl were disappointing. The chicken was not tender and it didn’t taste like it was simmered. The person eating the meal said it looked like they put cubes of chicken breast over rice and just covered it with sauce. The poke bowl had very little ingredients; it was 80% rice. Usually, at a sushi restaurant, the rice is 50% of the bowl. I would recommend the restaurant for their service, steak and calamari. I would not order either of those bowls again.
Had a great time. Our server was great. Love the pretzels.
Overall the experience was good. Upon being seated however; one menu given to us had an unknown greasy-like substance smeared on it. (Kind of gross) Our server (Emily) did a great job !!

The hostess and server were very friendly. The good was great. Only minor thing is that I ordered the early bird special but was charged full price for it so I didn't get the discount. Didn't notice it until I got home because I wasn't paying attention while I paid.
Regular fries were cold and soggy, sweet potato fries excellent
Great food and drink. Caesars are a must have.
Hubby took me to State and Main for my birthday. Was a very enjoyable evening. Food was really good, a bit noisy but otherwise a great experience. Our server Kim was amazing.

We ordered burgers - Bison and french dip.
Bison burger is dry and the French burger is good but the gravy is salty.
And i’ve got a soggy - limp sweet potato fries.
We’re done at state and main. adios !!

One of the friendliest and most attentive waitresses I’ve ever had. If I didn’t live 45 minutes away I would have offered her a job in sales in my company. Food was excellent and atmosphere was awesome.

Very good service, delicious food, great place to catch up with a friend
I wish I could give you guys 0 stars. We’ve been here twice now and both times we’ve been ignored and we’ve had to leave. The first time we waited 40 minutes before giving up. We decided to give it a second chance so we went here for a 6:45 reservation yesterday and waited over 15 mins to be acknowledged by a server. I would have been more patient but a) this was the second time this happened to us b) it wasn’t very busy and c) people around us were being served promptly and getting their food while we sat trying comprehend what was happening. A couple who came in 15 mins after us had a server come up to them literally as they were taking their coats off. So I guess my husband and I must just be the kind of people your establishment doesn’t care to serve. Thanks a lot for ruining our night yet again.
We enjoyed our meals
Our steak sandwiches were over cooked and sent back to the kitchen. Our second steaks didn’t even make it out of the kitchen because they were also over cooked. The third steaks came out and they were under cooked but at that point we were too hungry to care
Always good. Kids love it. Never had a bad experience.
We received wonderful food and service tonight . Our server was proactive in bringing more drinks so we didn’t have to wait.

My previous experiences with State & Main have been good. This time myself and a friend came to celebrate our respective 50th birthdays. We seemed to wait a longer time than what I would normally expect - not a problem in itself. When the food arrived my dish in particular looked horridly dry and as it turns out lukewarm at best. First the steak sandwich looked completely dried out (no juices showing at all) - I immediately asked the one who delivered it (not our waitress) if the steak was medium and we both doubted it - I cut it open and he immediately said - no that's not medium (zero pink and as I said very dried out) he took it back and returned my sweet potato fries and salad while I wait for a new steak. The fries were almost room temperature and dried out - so I flagged him down (again - not our waitress) and asked for fresh fries. Of course. I sat down and my friend started her meal which included a steak dipping sauce - which turned out to be luke-warm as well. We returned that and she received a hotter one. In the end the new hotter food was good. The end of the meal, my meal was removed from the bill but the waitress never so much as mentioned it or apologized for anything - just handed me the bill. I suspect she was uncomfortable but what a win for her that she missed - to be the to tell me that my meal was removed for all the trouble. The real problem I have is that anyone looking at the original dish served to me would have had to have seen how dried out and horrible it looked and yet it was still served to me - almost as if "well - if they complain then we will do something" when in true customer service spirit the plate would not have been delivered to me at all. So from the cook who said the plate was ready, to whatever time the plate waited to be picked, to the server delivering it to me, someone - anyone - could have and should have said - hmm - this isn't good enough - take it back - do another. Waiting for me to complain is ridiculous.
We really enjoyed our celebration this evening! The food was wonderful and our server was attentive and proactive to all our needs !
We had such a lovely time and the food was impeccable. We got a free dessert because it was our anniversary and it was so lovely. We had Summer as our server and she was delightful. Will definitely be returning!
Food okay, but waited nearly an hour for it and that was at lunch time before anyone else even arrived.
Our waitress was extremely nice.
