   The hostess was one of the best in accommodating our group with a table in such a busy rush. Appreciate all she did and also our server delivered great service and making the birthday celebration more enjoyable. As a 1st time attendee would definitely recommend.

   Station 4 used to be better than it is now. There was excellent, simple pizza, and the entire menu was less expensive. Now it seems they have tried to upgrade, but in the process have gone downhill. The "Best Chicken Sandwich in the World," at something like $26, was a thin piece of chicken breast overcooked. The "Fish and Chips" also wasn't very good. The burger is still OK, but the crab cake -- there was one -- was $55 (!). An Aperol Spritz came with no ice and was made with day-old sparking wine (we sent it back, and it was OK on the second try).

   The have a TON of mosquitos and they keep trying to use an electronic wand to get rid of them. Terrible.

Like many other establishments on the Southwest Waterfront neighborhood, we are struggling with the seasonal mosquitoes coming into the patio and open areas. We are trying our best to keep them at bay with weekly treatment, strong mosquito repellent, zappers, etc. We are very sorry if they have caused an inconvenience while dining with us and we hope you give us a second chance to provide you a better experience.

   Service was excellent, as was the food. Since the restaurant wasn't packed, the noise level was acceptable, which is a welcome attribute. Try the Roasted Cauliflower and the Creme Brulee, both superb.

    I have eaten often at Station 4; it has been my "go to" for Arena Stage performances over the years. This visit was different in a number of ways. For one thing, it was almost empty. There were, perhaps, five other parties in attendance and two of them were celebrating birthdays. We had to request the pre-theater dinner menu, which used to be included on the main menu. The main menu had grown in size and especially in price. The pre-fixed was also more expensive but more notably, about half the offerings noted that they would add $5-$10 more to the $39 cost. That said, the food was quite good and the portions were large. At one point this menu had reduced the size of the items. On inquiry, I was told that they had been crowded for brunch. However, part of me wonders what will happen to this stalwart now that the Wharf is up and running.

    The food, fish and chips, cauliflower, and fish tacos were not fresh, poorly prepared, tasteless, thrown onto the dish presentation. The bathrooms were dirty. Service was fair to bored.

    It was ok. Service was amazing. I’m assuming they’d just finished the brunch rush. Tables around where we sat still had dirty dishes and food on them. Appetizers were quick and delicious. Drinks were absolutely horrible. Don’t know what that bartender was doing. My entree, which was $55 came with 3 damn near burned lamb chops, but amazing risotto. Again, our waitress was amazing.

    First impression.. ambience was nice when first walking in. After being seated we noticed how warm the restaurant was. I don’t think the air was working. Next, it took awhile for someone (a waiter) to take our order. Once we ordered the food came back incorrect and missing sides. It seems the waiter was irritated with my party. She was so nonchalant. Maybe she was having a bad day. Lastly, it took sooo long for us to pay and leave. It was a party of 22 that was seated after us but left before us. To me the restaurant was unorganized/all over the place. Long story I WILL NOT BE BACK! Thanks but no thanks!

    I knew something was lacking when I saw how empty the restaurant was. The ambience was lack luster and the service was basic and unenthusiastic. My husband and I sat down and looked over the menus. None of the cocktails stood out and the food seemed very over priced. After noticing wet puddles on the floor and mosquitoes on the curtains behind us, we decided to leave and go to another restaurant to salvage our date night.

    Our experience at Station 4 was great. We arrived early for my husband's birthday dinner and was sat at a cute red half booth that was perfect. We ordered the lamb and risotto as well as the delmonico steak. The food was outstanding especially the duck fat fries! We'll definitely be back to try the brunch next time.

    Appetizers were stale (guacamole and chips), food lacked flavor, drinks were extremely watered down and the waiter was barely visible. Huge disappointment.

    We didn’t get to eat our entrees in the restaurant because we were being bitten by so many bugs it was unbearable. We weren’t the only table who had to leave because of the biting insects. We canceled our entrées but the server brought it to us to take and eat at our hotel. They didn’t charge us for the entree either so that was nice. But the food was just ok for the price. Wish we would have gone somewhere else.

    Station 4 was absolutely an amazing restaurant for my birthday dinner. The food was incredible, well seasoned and cooked to perfection, the staff were hospitable and waited on us with a great attitude and friendliness, I will most definitely be returning. Thank you so much! 10/10 recommend.

    A hidden gem in DC! Celebrated my husband’s birthday over the July 4th weekend and selected Station 4 because the menu had something for everyone. The calamari was excellent- well seasoned and very tender; not chewy and dry. The salmon and crab cake portions were of a generous size. I had a peach margarita and it was amazing! Served in a highball glass without the salted rim and it wasn’t syrupy sweet. It wasn’t crowded when we arrived so there was no issue with service, so I can’t say how they do when there’s a crowd. Enjoyed the food and atmosphere enough that I will return for brunch!

    My first time trying the restaurant for my birthday weekend. It was a bit crowded for birthday gatherings. I could not believe the noise level was so loud. One lady was actually screaming in laughter which I felt was very inappropriate. I ordered the breakfast burger which could minimize the amount of onions. The smoked gouda macaroni and cheese was nice and hot and very cheesy. My friend ordered shrimp and grits which was dry needing extra sauce. When we asked the waiter for some he brought butter. The menu describes the dish with sauce. I would like to try the dinner menu in the future.

    The entire experience from beginning to end was awful. The food was terrible and staff didn’t care. It’s only a couple blocks from the wharf so just find a restaurant there.

    Stopped in for a late night grab after watching a concert nearby. Probably should’ve walked out when it took 10 minutes to be seated while no one else was waiting. Crab macaroni and cheese didn’t have any sign of crab. Smelled like pork max macaroni and cheese instead. The entrees were pretty good even though the salmon was a bit undercooked. Brussels sprouts were delicious

    I believe Station 4 is under new mgmt. I was disappointed this time around with the service and changes in the menu we were told about after the fact with no written or verbal indication of the changes prior to our ordering. They were very disorganized and disjointed. This was two friends meeting for light fare pre theater at Arena Stage. Bc if the disorganization we were 30 mins late for our theater show… It has been 2019 since I was last here. And my experience had always been enjoyable until yesterday. I wont be going back until they get it together whenever that will be.

    We went to Station 4 to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We asked to sit outside and were seated promptly on their enclosed patio. The wicker seats were a bit ragged and we had to swap mine for one that was not frayed. We were seated initially at a table that had not been cleaned and did not have a table cloth. We asked to be reseated and got a different table with no problem. After we ordered, the food came quickly and was very good; we both ordered the stuffed salmon and the portions were pretty large. The prices at this restaurant are a little high but pretty reasonable considering that the place is near the SW Waterfront, which is a very trendy, pricey area. Fortunately we had tickets to a show at the Arena Stage nearby, and Station 4 has a special Prix Fixe menu for ticket holders, so our meal was a decent value.

    The food was fantastic and the service was great. We moved from enclosed patio to outside patio and then back again when we realized we were being bitten by mosquitoes. The staff was quite accommodating.

    I'm not sure if the prices were high due to what is taking place in the economy today, however, I have had better tasting food for a less expensive price. The food was Fair not mouth watering for the price. I do have to admit that the Mac & Cheese with Crabmeat was definitely worth the $30 price. I would recommend that you go if you are prepared to pay double the price for an entrée that you could get elsewhere with better service.

    The 14oz 30 day aged steak was not seasoned at all - $55! The Brussel sprouts were poorly seasoned and burned. In fact salt seems to be unknown at this restaurant. The best part of the meal was the duck fat French fries.
