My husband and I are big foodies and love frequently dining out, we have been doing much of this since the start of the pandemic but in doing some online research of DC restaurants Station 4 came up as one that follows safety guidelines and had great over all rating. We went on a weekday for lunch, we were immediately greeted and informed about safety precautions. They had sanitizer stands by all entrances and exits, we sat on the patio which had touchless menus, the server was so welcoming and seemed knowledgeable about the menu so we decided to go with his recommendations.
So glad we did! My husband and I shared the grilled octopus which was the best every, the garlic sauce was just out of this world. The crab dip was heavenly, I felt like I was having lunch in a Parisian castle, the seafood salad tasted like bite of sea and the fried chicken sandwich was surpassed my expectation for such a nice place, they really do cater to all tastes.
The server recommended we come back and try their dinner menu, and mentioned they run specials throughout the week for early dinners and happy hour. They will for sure find me there! Thank you Station 4 for my making my lunch escape feel like foodie trip. Also they are really nice people, i almost didn't want to leave.
Over all the bottomless mimosas was worth the trip. The food was great I had the French toast it was amazing. Wasn’t to crowed and we sat by the window so we had nice lighting.
Station 4 came thru once again for overall awesome experience for Sunday brunch. My friends and I had a business meeting and the Challah French Toast was delicious. We agreed to have the bottomless mimosas and although they were good, I think offering a variety of flavors would be better. The ambiance was very nice even though it was raining and a little chilly outside.
Darlene, Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us this amazing review. We are indeed working on a new Brunch specials that will have different flavors for mimosas. Thanks for this great feedback, please visit us again!
Service is beyond slow, especially if they are going to tax you 20% on top of your bill. I experienced two different waiters. I asked about different drinks and the waiters responses were so bland and as if I was wasting his time. Then you seat me and my guest near the door when the restaurant was empty. Not to mention me having to wear a jacket the entire time.
It legit took 40 minutes after we were done eating to receive the bill. Then another 10 minutes to receive it. Then the waiter had the nerve to say my card was declined after several attempts. So I instantly checked my online chase account. Chase not only notifies you if your card has been swiped multiple times but when I checked I saw no pending transactions, just a lot of money in my bank account.
Long story short, I won’t be back.
Nafia, We do want you back and we are sorry to hear of your experience. We appreciate you bringing this matter to our attention and would love to amend things with you to show how great of a dining experience Station 4 provides. We are always available to accommodate you when you’re ready to give us a second chance. Please let us know.
It was me and my fiancée’s first time going to this place and the service was horrible. Our waiter was rude and seemed to not care about whether or not we were good. I will never come back to this place due to the service and how we were treated. Worst experience ever! I do not recommend this place to anyone.
Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention, we are very disappointed to hear of it, our staff have been known for their hospitality, friendliness and for following the high standards we put for our establishment. We do not tolerate a customer feeling they way you felt, and we're sorry about it. To help us address this issue, we would be grateful if you could inform us on the time and name under your reservation. Last, we would truly appreciate another chance to earn your business.
Seems they were limited in menu items. The waiter was pushy when taking the table’s order.
Everything was nice except the fact that when placing the reservation I was given an option between the set Valentine’s Day dinner and the normal menu, only to learn upon my arrival that the restaurant was only serving the Valentine’s Day limited dinner menu. So it was quite misleading and disappointing to learn that we only had the option of three entrees. But the staff did an exceptional job of trying to make the best out of the situation.
Table on Valentine's Day were too small. The pre-set menu didn't have good options. Service was really good. The overall experience just wasn't was I expected even with ut being "COVID-19"
The hostess, waiters & bartender were so nice & sweet. Definitely will be coming back again. The food was bombbbbb ! 10/10 parking wasn’t bad either.
My wife and I made reservations for this restaurant for Valentine’s Day. The ambience was romantic and the setting was very nice. The service was also acceptable. The food however was the low mediocre. We figured since this restaurant was on the waterfront in DC that the food would be somewhat adequate. We were sadly disappointed. I ordered a medium rare steak with sweet potato. I’ve honestly had better food made from my homemade air fryer. I’m still in unbelief. The food was horrible. My wife believes that the steak was a very low and cut, and the sweet potatoes tasted as if they were boiled for about 20 minutes and slammed on a plate. Unfortunately I won’t be returning to this restaurant
Went for Valentine’s Day and it was a lovely experience!
My fiancé came into DC for Valentine’s Day
Too crowded during a pandemic. My fiancé’s chair was basically in the walking area so her chair kept getting bumped poor food selection also overpriced.
Everything was fantastic! My husband and I went to brunch to celebrate our 6th wedding anniversary! Food, drinks, and staff were great!
We came here for dinner a few nights ago. The steak I ordered was ok but nothing special. The service was slow and I felt they tried to upsell us on everything rather than just answering the questions I had about the menu. The mussels my date got were overcooked but the sauce was delicious.
The calamari is a must for an appetizer if you like calamari - it's well cooked, the batter is light and flakey so enhances the taste of the squid rather than drowning it out. And the marinara served in tow is also very flavorful.
The food and service were very nice. Will come again and will dine in for brunch.
Great service and ambiance, the food was well prepared and to our specifics. Would recommend for a date.
Jodel, you're right! Station 4 is particularly suitable for dates. Thanks for your review, we hope to see you again soon.
We had the crab soup, really good. Nice ambience but a tad bit cold. Next time would definitely take advantage of the bottomless drinks option. Our server was very nice!
The restaurant itself had nice decor. Guests were very loud and clearly drunk, but never asked to quiet down so that others could enjoy their dinning experience. Waiter not prepped on the menu. Could not answer our questions but very personable. Food was decent. Don’t think I’ll visit again.
The server was dynamite. He was precise, friendly, and knowledgeable. However, we waited 5-7 minutes to be seated.
Amazing service! Delicious foods. Would definitely come back.
We arrived and were seated immediately. We ordered and the food arrived on time and was great. The only hiccup we had was with the Bill, the waiter was able to get that corrected with some help. Overall I had a great time. I have been coming to Station 4 for years and will continue to come back.
Thank you for your review. We are glad to hear you enjoyed the service and the food, even happier to hear your concerns were cleared out right away! We hope to have you join us again soon.
Dc finally opened in door dining this was close why not.
We had been in the house for a while as we were both sick. The service is always amazing here. I have been coming here for three years now
I visited Station 4 first time last year on Valentine's day and had such a great time, i have been meaning to return since them but then you know covid happened. I finally had the chance to go again this Friday, the menu was slightly different I enjoyed the crab dish, they also had specials on nice bottle of wine, our server was funny and professional. will definitely return again
Outdoor seating didn’t have enough heaters... they need to have at least 2 more. One of the few heaters they had was broken. When we came in, we were sat in the open (not under the tent) and our waiter took another table’s heater and dragged it over to us. For the rest of the night, the drunken group whose heater was stolen was yelling things at us and glaring at us.
Food was.... ok. Not worth the price. Was told we could not order from the bar menu, even though you could order it for take-out, which was disappointing because all we wanted was crackers and cheese.
Also customers beware. They already charge you 20% for tip and NEVER tell you. If you were drunk/not paying attention, I can see someone giving the waiter an additional 15%-20%. If you are going to automatically add 20% tip, you should tell your customers. I always give a 20% tip. I am not upset that they add that .... I am upset that they don’t tell you it’s added.
So glad I came across Station 4, i came here for drinks with my friends but ended up having a full course meal. Though we sat outside due to indoor dining restrictions, the restaurant seemed to do their best to keep us warm with heaters and managers and staff constantly checking if we are seated comfortably. The food was so hearty, delicious and generous for such a nice place! Please support them, they deserve it.
Our reservation was at 2:00 it seemed as if they just opened. Heaters wasn’t on tables wasn’t set, we sat down and realized This was not how we’d start our New Years.
The ambiance out doors was the worst I’ve been.
Needless to say we didn’t eat or drink anything from here.
So sorry to hear of your experience. We take pride in making every guest satisfied and try our best to swiftly adapt to the unpredictable changes a pandemic & government regulation impose on us. We worked hard & fast to equip our patio to welcome guests in winter, and yes it has not been easy and we are still learning in the process. We understand if it did not meet your standards and ask for your understanding. The quality of our food & service, the commitment of staff deserve a second chance.
It was posted on the website that it would be a heated tent. One heater was working and it the other 3 or 4 didn’t appear to be plugged up or running off of fuel. I was expecting the heat to be more contained within the tents to make for a better outdoor dining experience. We suffered through it because it was NYE & we didn’t have a plan B & the FOOD was really good!
Lonnie, we appreciate you coming to support us during the indoor dining pause. As you may know, back in December we had to adjust swiftly to seating customer outdoor only and the process hasn't been easy, we were faced with many hurdles like heaters breaking on you in the middle of a shift... We have made sure such instance does not happen again, our dining room has also reopened now if you would like to enjoy our dishes indoor :)
The salmon stuffed with crab meat was AMAZING. The ceviche was also very fresh and the Gouda Mac was extremely flavorful.
The place was not sufficiently conditioned to serve outside and it was very cold and they did not have enough stoves, although there were only 4 tables available. It was not a good experience in that sense.
Carlos, thank you for coming out to support our business during these unprecedented times. As you know, we had to adapt quickly to only serving customers outdoor during a cold winter, we are still learning to adapt to these unpredictable regulations and ask for your understanding and forgiveness. We hope you enjoyed the food and were satisfied with the service. We open for indoor dining in less than 10 days and hope you visit us again!
I visited this place during the indoor dining closure, so we were sat at patio, beautiful set with tents and enough heaters, the experience waa comfortable even during a cold December evening, the food made it even better. I recommend the braised short rib the crab cake
Great food and drinks, service was perfect and ambiance inside was excellent
Great vibe with delicious menu selections. Service was also exceptional. Would highly recommend
Nice ambiance, the bottomless mimosas kept coming & not a lot of orange juice.
Loved the calamari appetizer and seared tuna salad
Thank you Steph! We are glad you enjoyed your meal. Please visit us again for more food fun!
The food was very good, the octopus was cooked to perfection. Definitely going again
You're right! The grilled octopus is a guest's favorite here at Station 4. We are so glad you enjoyed it!
Overall nice restaurant with good distanced outdoor seating. Attentive and friendly service. Brunch menu has good selection of regular and specialty dishes. Had eggs with sausage and home fries - generous portions, sausage a bit lacking, strange texture without much meat - mostly non meat filling.
Thank you so much for this great review, we are happy to know you were pleased with your meal and interaction with our staff; and overall had a safe and comfortable dining experience. We are taking notes of your observations to keep perfecting our services. Thank you again for supporting our business!
I am honestly heartbroken that I do not love in D.C. to visit this restaurant more frequently. That’s how impressed we were! The staff, the food, the service, the atmosphere and the value. We came here for the Thanksgiving dinner meal and we were not disappointed. What a wonderful experience. Thank you, Station 4! If we’re ever back in D.C., put us down for a visit!
