Steak & Co Haymarket
When we arrived the place was closed, no notification or signs on the windows that it would be closed. We then walked 0.2 miles to another steak and co which was open. It was excellent service and food, just a shame we weren’t notified that the table we booked at the previous location wasn’t open.
lovely atmosphere, great food and great value for money.
The staff were very attentive and the food was lovely. I would say the table we were sat at was too small once the main dishes arrived, and didn’t allow for much social distancing.
Carlo my waiter was an absolute gentleman.
It was my partners birthday on the 19/03. We booked via the restaurant's website, which passed through to Opentable. When we arrived the restaurant was closed, so we had to wander around London looking for a place to eat.
We knew many restaurants were taking the voluntary decision to close, as had this one. However, the management obviously don't care one iota about their customers. When closing the restaurant, they couldn't be bothered to put an announcement on their website and deactivate the booking part.
This lack of concern for disregarding customers is appalling and I certainly won't consider this chain again.
Really good concept and enjoyed it a lot, service was quick efficient and non intrusive. Steak was delicious!
Amazing service! Waitress was kind and very attentive, me and my partner both had the calamari as a starter and have both agreed that it was the best calamari we have ever had! I had the beef entree, it was exceptional! Very highly recommend by myself. I am a trained chef, and have plenty of experience dining in both poor and outstanding restaurants, steak and co in Haymarket made such an impression on me, and was a highlight of my trip to London, Thankyou to all the staff who made our evening truly rememberable.
we booked for 6 people we are a family so it was only young people except our parents. Our waiter was absolutely amazing, very caring, funny and nice to all of us. He made our evening ! We'll come back for sure
Great steaks and excellent experience. The restaurant is a bit small
Great food and service, got a big smoky as service went on but it adds to the experience
Attentive good humoured staff - fantastic food - nice place and good location - what more do you want
Amazing food, great value for money, staff really friendly and nothing to much trouble, would definitely recommend a visit
Food was excellent, service was great. All round perfect for a pre theatre meal!
Service and food was fabulous. However restaurant was very hot and smokey, felt like an extractor was needed. The waitress was perfect coupled with fab food which made our visit worthwhile
Absolutely brilliant, food fantastic, loved the fact you could cooked your own steak, cant wait to go back
Vikki the waitress made us feel so so comfortable ... best steak I have ever had xx
Amazing steak, good service, attentive staff, can't fault it..
Good food great service. Excellent choice for pre-theatre dinner
Was great! Lovely food, great place! Will be back
Food & service very good, but it became a bit noisy once a large party arrived
Great food. Little bit cramped inside and having to wait outside the building for a table wasn’t ideal! Waitress was polite however not much space in between tables for a private conversation!
An unusual ‘self-service’ style of cooking the steaks .....
Steaks arrive rare, still cooking on a hot stone. You slice them and cook to your final preference adding butter and salt to taste. Lovely!
Service was superb. Our waiters went the extra mile.
The service received was absolutely appalling to the level that we had to reach out to a waitress in another part of the restaurant to even serve us after waiting 25 minutes from our plates being cleared to order more drinks and/or pudding. Which we decided against and just paid up and left. Had our (soft) drinks taken off the bill for the inconvenience - big deal. Shame really as the food wasnt bad (one of the T-bone steaks was pretty fatty but just about acceptable)
Different idea, cooking your steak at the table but was fun and food was very good
Great experience, being able to cook your steak just how you like it at the table... service great.... desserts wow
Extremely polite and helpful staff, food was of excellent quality and prompt to the table. Only issue was tables are extremely close together so squeezing into your seat is required. Being that close to other tables meant the noise levels were quite high.
Excellent customer service! Couldn’t fault! Lovely waiter and amazing food of high quality
Great food , great service , a little smokey but to be expected with the hot stone - cook steak just the way you like it at your table .
Lovely dining experience but disappointed to be charged for serviettes (cover charge)
Nice food great service
Pre Theatre dinner - was speedy and delicious - would recommend
Recommendation from a friend and so glad I went. You choose what steak you want then you add a butter a salt and a sauce this comes as part of the meal. Sides are an additional cost. Your steak is half cooked then comes to your table with a hot plate and you finish cooking the steak yourself. Much fun. My waiter showed me how to cut the steak and use the accompiments. Will definitely be back.
Great location, nice restaurant without being pretentious, and the best steak we've ever eaten!
A dining experience you must try
Brilliant food, quick service, ideal for theatre goers
Food and service are excellent. We've visited a few times now at different restaurants. Could do with an extractor fan as you tend to come out smelling like steak but that wouldn't deter me 😁
The steak (good quality) option, for one of us, was interesting in that you cooked your own at the table. There was no mac cheese available and no buttermilk chicken available (early evening) so that was disappointing. Very steep stairs to loos.
Great steak if you don't mind cooking it yourself. Our steaks turned up with wrong sauces/butters on the trays and it all got a bit confusing. Waiter was not helpful - just said oh well. Our main issue was the small table for 4 people with so much going on. Lots of spitting from the butter/steaks and our glasses were completely covered in grease so ended up leaving them. One of the desserts ended up going back due to a hair on the plate. The same dessert came with the wrong ice cream (jug of cream instead), they then told us that they didn't have the clotted cream ice cream so we went for the vanilla bean one instead. Almost finished the Rocky Road pudding before it came out and that was after chasing....
The steaks were of very good quality, but on the basis of everything else experienced I wouldn't recommend.
One of the best environments I’ve had whilst eating out. Went to Steak & Co. for Valentine’s Day and would recommend to anyone.
Great value for money. Only downfall I’d say is that you were practically sitting on other people’s tables. The tables were 2 inches apart.
Besides that, no other negatives. Staff were incredibly polite and the waiter was great. He clearly showed us how to use the menu and what was recommended.
Great restaurant 10/10
Third visit and again all excellent. The rib eye steak was succulent, the special salt and pepper sauce were amazing.
