Steak & Co Haymarket
We booked a table in advance as wanted to eat before going to the theatre. The waitress asked if we had been before and as we hadn’t she explained the steak menu to us. We ordered the ‘sliced steak’ with a side dish each of jacket potato and salad. When the meal arrived the waitress explained to put slices of steak onto the hot plate together with the butter, everything was delicious but the only downside was the table was too small for the hot plate, side dishes & wine glasses. We appreciate you need to fit in as many diners as possible but it was awkward to eat the food with limited space
Lack of items from the menu
We had a delicious meal and it was so much fun to have the hot plate and cook our steaks to our liking. Perfect pre-theatre meal!
Quality all the way. Very nice staff, and excellent food.
Real food for real hunger...
Such good value for money we had beautiful steaks. They are served raw along with a hot plate so that you can cook them how you like them. Our waiter was very helpful and friendly too. We will definitely be returning! Thank you for having us x
Fantastic place with delicious food and a friendly as well as helpful staff
Our first time at the Haymarket Steak & Co as we love going to Leicester Square restaurant. Few bits were disappointing. We were a table of 6 and one of our party had her king prawn starter served to her in a chipped dish, didn't look great. I ordered a chicken skewer which I have had before in Leicester Square. Unfortunately what I received was nowhere near as nice as what I have had before. The meat on this skewer was all thigh meat, no breast meat at all and much smaller.
However that said, other members of our party had steak which was reportedly lovely. Our waiter Carlos was brilliant, very engaging.
Comida muy buena y en grandes cantidades. El servicio muy amable. Como pega que hay mucho humo dentro
I have been to other branches and the food was better, the plate didn't stay hot for as long as it did on my previous visits. But still love the value for money and our waitress was really nice and very helpful.
The place seems over packed, understaffed, and exceptionally noisy. I'maware we were in at peak time for pre theatre dinner, but even when the place emptied out it was still fairly noisy and the staff still didn't seem to be able to cope. We were sat down for 10 minutes before even being asked about drinks which then took another ten minutes to get to the table.
The shared mussels as a starter had a great taste, but maybe 40% weren't edible and a fair few of them hadn't been cleaned at all.
The steaks were ok at best, but not worth the amount they were charging in terms of the quality of the meat itself.
The desserts were of a similar standard. Nothing special, just okay.
Overall a bit disappointing as I have been here before and had a much better experience.
Excellent staff and food. Slightly disappointed with the pudding, it didn't meet my expectations. Highly recommend.
Great all round!
I’ve been to many branches including this one before so knew what to expect.
It was very busy but understandably so at 6pm on a Friday. I would advise to pre-book.
A table for two is quite small once you have all the food, wine, water etc. on it.
If you’ve never cooked your choice of steak cut to your own liking at the table with your choice of seasoning, butter and sauce, it’s a fun thing to do. Staff are helpful to those who haven’t been before and to be honest, I’ve never wanted anything other than steak off the menu because that’s the appeal of this chain for me.
We felt the food was very over priced for the quality of the restaurant. It felt like a chain and tables all very close together.
The steak was very good itself but with each side added it was nearly £30 for a meal this is too much for the quality of the restaurant. There are many restaurants around for far less with similar quality. Chicken skewer was exceptionally over priced- One skewer with four pieces thigh meat two bits of pepper and one of onion plus some beans for nearly £20. I feel the whole meal was worth 2/3 of the price and so wouldn’t recommend or go back. Having said all that our waiter was excellent!
Great experience at Steak and Co as ever... service was a little slow at points but only at points and once someone was motioned over, things happened very quickly, so no complaints there. Food excellent as ever - only issue with steak and co is that the butter and hot stone can spit quite a lot, so I always come away stinking of steak - just hope I don't sit near any vegans before I get a chance to wash my clothes! The only thing at Haymarket, and its the same at a couple of other Steak and Co's... is that it is quite "cosy" - very little space between some of the tables. Certainly no major issue, but if you're looking to hold a hugely private conversation, be warned.
My wife’s starter had to go back as was cold.
The sirloin steak was majority fat. You could hardly see when restaurant got busy as it was so smoky due to everyone cooking there steaks. Will not return
It was delicious and our waitress was awesome.
Excellent, fillet was great, enjoyed 'cooking' it!! Will definitely visit again.
Good service although a couple of errors made that were quickly sorted. choose your seats downstairs carefully as there are draughty areas . Be prepared to smell of cooked meat afterwards. Happy staff and good vibe. Loved ricotta and spinach veg dish. Wd go back!

Carne buonissima e strepitose le Rosemary potatoes.Servizio veloce e personale giovane e simpatico.
Consigliato anche a famiglie con bambini.
Super resto et merci au serveur qui nous servis !!
Delicious steaks. Not enough ventilation..
It was super delicious, Nice Food, the best steak ever! Thanks again
We head the melted Camembert as starters - all good. More bread with a member would be great but we could have asked I am sure. Then fillet steaks and Picanha flambé at the table. Served on stones so stay hot - the Picanha was excellent and done to perfection
I usually head to a Hawksmoor or Goodman’s for steaks but this was really pleasant surprise. Would happily return.
Amazing food! Really loved it. Will be back again!
The food here is great but the ambience is lacking as the venue is crowded and noisy. The tables are tightly packed and the atmosphere is very smoky given the way the steaks are served on the sizzling hot stones. It may also not be to everyone's taste to cook your own dinner!
Managed to squeeze us in on mad Friday. Very tasty.
Thanks for the great service and food on Friday night our waiter could not do enough 👍
The service is very good and friendly. Main problem in the restaurant is the air ventilation. While in the restaurant my glasses is covered with oil.
First time visiting but wouldn’t rush back . Food was quite good to be fair but no one explained what we had to do ! Best to cut steak up then cook it . Was tasty.
On the downside, floor was so slippy due to the fat sparking from the grills, also they should provide neck napkins as I had a satin/silk blouse on which got ruined due to the fat sparking from the grill on table ! Not good . Table booked for 5 no cutlery for my son and no one came back until too late . They also put a fee on £4 for London taxes !! Never heard of it but it is west end I suppose .
Fabulous tasty food, great service, definitely our go to place to eat when we visit London!
Liked the restaurant, ambiance was warm and inviting, service was pleasant and food was enjoyable, I would recommend this restaurant
Great place to eat at! Happy with our choice. Shout out to Dimitrii for being so amazing with his service!
Nice steak but small portions small. Left a little hungry. Steak size was also small so some extra helpings on sides would have helped.
Great service, amazing food!
Always impressed when visiting Steak and Co, friendly staff and fantastic food.
Food was delicious. We had Camembert for starter and then Filket steak with fries and rainbow coleslaw and sirloin steak with mash potato and creamy spinach. Everything was delicious and nothing was left in our plates.
Our server was Sal and he did a great job. Great at explaining concept and attentive throughout our meal.
Will definitely be eating at Steak & Co again.
Good food and very friendly staff, however I’m not giving 5 stars because they forgot our water, gave the wrong butter to my partner and the dessert took a long time to come.
Steak (Tomahawk) was very tasty. The rest (atmosphere, service, and side dishes) all felt a little bit like a chainy / touristy restaurant.
Great service and had two bottles of moet and were amazingly well priced
