The SteakInn restaurant is always a family favourite, and at SteakInn on St Albans Road in Watford, we are doing something new and interesting with the established format. The twist? You can grill your steak for yourself. Simply choose from their extensive menu, and we’ll provide you with a volcanic stone in the centre of the table, and you can cook your meat to your exact specifications. London is a great place to eat, and at SteakInn Watford, we offer something now seen elsewhere in the city. Grilling your own steak is new to London, but all novelties aside, a steakhouse falls apart without a great menu. Lucky then, that SteakInn on St Albans Road in Watford has a selection to back it up. Ribeye, fillet and sirloin are there, of course, as well as chicken and even halloumi, for vegetarians. Dangerous and delicious animals are a trademark here, with crocodile, kangaroo, bison, camel, springbok, zebra and even llama steaks are available.

We were give a voucher for £75 from Open Table to spend at restaurant of our choice from a selected list. We chose SteakInn Watford as it was the nearest. We made our booking online using the code in the given voucher and given a time of 6.30 so it all seeded to be working well until we got to the restaurant. Well with a voucher worth £75 we were expecting a decent meal but this place was more like a cheap back street café. We were the only people in the place but when we presented our voucher to the waiter (I call him the waiter but I think he was the only person in the place) he looked at it as if he had never seen one before and said he would have to make a phone call to check it. This did seem rather strange but we waited (and waited) with the little man coming back from time to time saying he hadn't manage to contact whoever it was to check the voucher. This fiasco went on for over half an our until we decided to leave before we died of starvation. This was supposed to be a special night out using a voucher given by friends after a special occasion but it turned out to be an evening out that left us frustrated and my wife very angry. The whole time this was going on we weren't even offered a drink while we were waiting. The only recommendation I can give is that this should be shut down and preferably demolished before anybody else suffers the same miserable experience as we had. Before this review is accepted I had to give a star rating at the top. I gave the lowest one star rating for food and value but this is only because there isn't an option for zero stars as this would have been more accurate as we did not get any food or service at all. This place is a disgrace.

Nice food, and friendly service, only downside I thought the tables were to close together!!

Awful evening with awful service, they didn't come over to the table for 15 minutes even though we were the 2nd couple in there and the heating was broken so it was freezing cold and we sat there in our coats we swiftly left after they said that it was broken. Everything was soon saved by TGI Fridays.

I booked an table at the restaurant we were the first to arrive - but the restaurant soon filled up and there was a fantastic atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful in detailing the menu and the hot rock and what we should do! The food was fresh and tasty.
we ordered starter Atomic chicken wings & Traditional prawn cocktail it was amazing & main was Ostrich with couscous & chips, Camel with salad & chips, pizza garlic bread as side.
next time we trying something else like Venison, Llama, Rose veal, Buffalo etc.
Can't recommend it enough. A must must visit.
