Great date night! Enjoyed the atmosphere & our server was professional and pleasant.
Perfect place for a romantic evening! Highly recommend!
We went there to celebrate a birthday. Every thing was great, service, food, and value. We will be back.
Dallas was a great waiter.. We loved the sausage and cheese board with the huge soft pretzel. Everything was so good and we loved the atmosphere of the restaurant (we ate inside). We will definitely be back!
The owner should take himself and his employees to Germany
Been a regular customer for years. Things are hard right now due to all the crazy stuff this year and I everyone has been affected.
Waited way to long for drinks 30 mins plus.
Food was over a hour and was extremely salty. Some food tasted sour and like it had gone bad.
Hope yall step your game back up.
The food was delicious! The food was truly authentic German. There is a great selection of beer. Will definitely will be returning again.
They were so accommodating! We arrived early and sat at the bar fully intending to have a couple of drinks while we waited for our reservation. They were able to get us seated 30 minutes early! The food was delicious and there was not a lot of noise. We really enjoyed everything.
We make it a point to eat here every year when we visit Hot Springs. Great food, awesome atmosphere and very attentive staff. Highly recommend this restaurant.
The food was good. The red cabbage and German potato salad was excellent and the beer variety was excellent and properly served. Table service was a little slow. We were quickly provided water and menus and we did agreed that we would need a few minutes to consider the menu, so she could come back. However, we waited quite a while for her to reappear and we gave our food and beer order. It was almost 30 minutes before our beers were brought and another 10 minutes before we received our bread, at which point she said our entrees were almost ready. It was a 6pm reservation and, due to early hour and Covid-restricted seating, there was only about 35% occupancy at the time. Server was very friendly and knowedgeable about the beers and food items. All in all, a good evening, we enjoyed food, A little more Oktoberfest vibe - even some piped in music would have been appropriate.
Food was excellent, as always. For Octoberfest there is a big selection of schnitzels. Every dish we ordered was wonderful. Lots of leftovers, too!
Absolutely love the food, ambience, and beer!! Can’t go wrong here!
Great food, great service, great atmosphere. Will definitely come back.
Service could have been better.
We love German food! When we travel, it is one of the cuisines we search for. The food was delicious. The Black Forest cake was superb! Wish we lived closer...
Fantastic German food with very good customer service. A wonderful find – will eat here every time we’re in town.
Our server was not great; he was actually kind of rude. However, the food was OUTSTANDING. Hands down, the best food I’ve ever eaten. It was pricey, so it will have to be a “special occasion” restaurant for us.
Great food and great service always!
Biergarten is a great place to eat during Covid-19. Weather was great! The sausage and cheese plate with hot pretzel was yummy along with Oktoberfest bier! Thanks
Wonderful environment. Great service and friendly staff makes for a great experience!
Such a great spot to get a bite to eat after the monthly art walk in downtown Chicago. The cheese soup is seriously worth a reservation! And, the beer selection. Simply the best beer soup I've ever had. The Sauerbraten was solid, and with sides of cabbage and spätzle, it was exactly like the Sunday dinners I remember as a grad student in Erlangen, Germany. Nothing fancy or extraordinary, but good and comforting. We also ordered the new cheese board, which included salami, pickles and pretzels. The cheese had a great flavor but was really salty. I preferred to spread it on some of the great rye bread instead of a salty pretzel. Also, our waitress seemed a little overwhelmed. I'm guessing they underestimated her work-load, given the Covid-19 situation, and lower crowds. The fact they were so busy is a good problem, so I don't want to be too critical. We had a difficult time getting 2nd rounds of drinks and finally, our check. But, I was so happy to see the good crowd on such a lovely night.
Truly amazing that you can get award winning German food in Hot Springs, Ar You will be pleasantly surprised at the selection and quality
My husband and I ate here on a date night. The schnitzel was so good! And an excellent vue
Amazing! We were visiting the area and decided to try this out after rewarding reviews. Our server Caitlin was terrific. She had an extensive knowledge of the menu and types of beer. The outdoor ambiance is great - pretty, yet casual. The sauerkraut cakes were so good!
Matt was very attentive and friendly. We enjoyed our experience and will definitely come back
Ordered a variety of items, including desert which is rare for us, could not finish all of them. Everything matched the menu description, which is how I grade food. Weekday, off season we dined inside and received great attention from Matt.
My view is great value, prices moderate compared to service and quality.
Extremely disappointed in the food after high recommendations from locals.
The pork was chewy on inside and not crispy on outside.
The sausage platter was lukewarm.
The waitress was very pleasant and understanding. But that did not make up for food quality.
We were seated and didn’t see our server until AFTER she had taken the drink orders of another table that was seated about 5 minutes after us. I don’t think anyone had told her that she had a table seated and she wasn’t watching her section. The ambiance and food were great.
We sat outside in the little courtyard and it was a lovely evening. I had the ligonberry pork schnitzel and my husband had the beef stroganoff and both were delicious.
We were disappointed with the change of the menu selections. The only way to get sausage or bratwurst was with a sampler platter on the appetizer menu, used to be able to get a sampler type meal with pork loin and sausage with 2 sides. German food always goes with pork meat with the side dishes, the potato pancake was to salty to eat. I ordered beef stroganoff and had to get noodles as a side(really), someone forgot the sour cream I think. The waitress was good and the sauerkraut cakes were good but rest was very disappointing,
PhilipK- We are sorry to read that you were disappointed in out menu change. As you may know, COVID-19 has made finding some food commodities extremely difficult. Our German sausage supplier ceased making sausage for five months. With that being the case, it is available in small quantities and extremely expensive. We had no choice but to limit the offerings. Hopefully by second quarter of 2021 our supply can be back to normal. We will be looking forward to it as much as you. All the Best- David
Absolutely the best beef stroganoff I have ever had. The sausage and cheese board was also delicious.
The food is always great and we love the atmosphere.
Fantastic setting for a romantic dinner. The food was amazing and the service was top notch.
Best schnitzel I ever had...!!! The ambiance was cozy and very nice. Easy to find. Not dissatisfied at all. Go!
Thank you for such a lovely review. We hope to see you again. All the Best to You- Amanda
Sausage sampler was very good. Schnitzels also good. Try the Brussel sprouts, very tasty!
Great food and service. Loved the Dill Schnitzel. Highly recommend this restaurant.
The food and service was fantastic! Lingonberry schnitzel was to die for.
Pretzel was awesome, rest of food just ok. There seemed to be a lot of non German menu items.
Always an awesome meal
Ambiance is absolutely amazing. Very friendly and helpful staff. Pineapple margarita was absolutely delicious. Veal schnitzel was not good. It was overcooked and dry. 2 meals the same so did not complain. Must be the way they choose to serve it. Sides and warm rolls were good.
