Servings sizes are huge! So delicious!!
We made reservations which were super easy. We were sat quickly. The food was fabulous and they had a violinist performing who was excellent.
Dinner with friends. Steinhaus is always excellent.
Everything was fabulous except food was a bit too salty for us. With that they only negative, it wouldn’t stop us from returning. Service was outstanding.
We stopped in for a German meal and I have to say my dinner was the best ever! Saurbraten and spatzel and red cabbage. So very good.
For house specialties such as rolled beef and ten different types of schnitzels, go and treat yourself. My wife commented,”Best German food I’ve ever had.”
The sides were heavenly. German potato salad, red cabbage cooked in apple juice, potato pancakes all were delicious. And for dessert, apple strudel was otherworldly! Light as a feather and just sweet enough.
We highly recommend and will return when in Hot Springs again.
Wait for food was 1-1/2 hours..our reservation was at 8:00 pm and we received our food at 9:30. This is very unacceptable and way too long! We love the food, but service has got to be more efficient before we will return .
We travel to Hot Springs twice a year. This is our must stop for great German food. The best German food we have thru the entire year. The atmosphere is awsome, like being in. GERMAN BIERGARDEN.
The food was excellent and would highly recommended the place. Our service was terrible, however it was only the waitress we had as I watched the others wait on their tables. They did a great job. This place is a must if you go to Hot Springs.
We were given our favorite table! This place is just awesome. The food is wonderful, the oompah band is so fun, the beer selection is great, but the BEST thing is the giant pretzle!
Nice place to enjoy fine dining! Food was good, the mash potatoes were probably the best I’ve ever had.
Wonderful authentic German food. Would recommend!
The food was amazing and they had a good variety. The pretzel is amazing Along with the selection of beer. We would definitely go back
Best beer found at this place! Met wonderful people there that travel, like us, for this fantastic food experience. Waitress was very attentive, helpful & knew the menu well to give good recommendations. Noticed how she served 3 minute pours correctly based on the type of beer. We were impressed & gladly tipped well! This is the only place we want to dine while visiting Hot Springs. Try the cheesy puff pastry appetizer & Hurdle Murdle beer.
It has been many years since I have eaten at a German Restaurant, HOWEVER, the Lady who accompanied me had NEVER eaten German food. She was amazed! Her conversation afterwards was just one compliment after another regarding the delicious food, the atmosphere and even the location!! After dinner we went to the Magic Show.
Valentine’s Day dinner was very enjoyable
Our evening started great while we waited at the bar for our table (although not sure why as the table was empty and ready). At our table we are greeted by our waitress and order more drinks and appetizers. The appetizers come and they are delicious. We have ordered our main courses by this time so we are enjoying each other's company. Our food comes and the waitress has put one of the orders in wrong. She says 10 min and it will be out. Not 5 min later she brings it and it's clear it's raw. She has already offered a free dessert for the mess up. Everyone else enjoyed their food. As we waited for desserts some in our party noticed the centerpiece was candy heart jelly beans and we snuck a few. The waitress came back and we asked her if we could have them to which she replied we were only told to guard the roses. Well someone wasn't happy and told the manager and the waitress came back and said she's charging us for them. WHAT!? Its Valentine's evening. Are they saving for next year? There were 5 different checks in our party and they charged us each $5 for "RUINED CENTERPIECE". $25 for a $3 bag of jelly beans. We should have taken the entire thing after that.
Very nice! We were there on one of the busiest nights of the year - Valentine's Day - but everything was perfect! We were seated promptly without having to wait, the service was excellent, and the food and beers were wonderful. I highly recommend this restaurant. You won't be disappointed.
We visited Steinhaus Keller on Valentine's Day for our evening meal. We had reservations so it was no problem to get seated when all of our group arrived. The staff was quite friendly and cordial. The service was great and the food was outstanding. We will return.
Yummy food that was a little out of the ordinary, unlike the typical run of the mill food.
We will return.
Marvelous food, service and atmosphere. Will definitely go back and will recommend to friends.
Our waiter, Russ did a GREAT job for us! The food was fantastic along with the beer! Of course the atmosphere was excellent!
Wonderful food, friendly and attentive server, and great atmosphere. Couldn't ask for anything better.
The food was terrible. The service was very good. The chicken schnitzel was disgusting. But our waitress was excellent.
The food was outstanding. Wish we lived closer so we could visit more often.
The spatan Oktoberfest was amazing food was delicious. Love this place.
One of the best German restaurant you will ever go to. It has it all
...always a treat! We love the live music on Friday and Saturday nights...wish there were more nights during the summer with live performers.
We had a variety of items and all were very sub-par. Maybe at one time this was a good German restaurant, but those days are definitely in the past if at all. The waiter was great, very friendly and did take one of the items off of our check--the meat was very tough. My mother-in-law was German and a wonderful cook so we were probably spoiled, but also know what true German food is supposed to taste like and these dishes didn't come close--very weird flavors. The only thing that was good was the bread and the wine. Too bad really, but don't waste your time or money in this place.
Not authentic German food. WAY overpriced. Dinner rolls were just that....dinner rolls. We were expecting authentic cooked on site broetchen. Best part of the meal was the microwaved pretzel starter. Dont waist your time and money...
I was impressed about the food authenticity! Quality and flavor was amazing! I haven’t seen anything close outside of Germany. Definitely worth the effort!
I would recommend Stein Haus because the food is good. But our service was terrible on this visit. Our waitress did not get to us until 10 minutes into our visit and then got our order wrong.
Kelsea, I am so disappointed to read you had service issue when you visited on New Year's Eve. We have gone over service expectations with the servers and will make a better effort to talk with the tables during busy nights. All the best to you- Amanda Mitchell-McGuire-Owner
We go to Steinhaus often and the food is always outstanding. New Year's Eve it was even better. Everything was on point. My niece has celiac and a dairy allergy. While there isn't anything specifically for people with her issues on their menu, our server understood her issues and double checked to make sure items would be okay for her to eat. She ordered a couple of sides and a salad. She was very happy with her food and best of all, she did not have any issues afterward.
Jennifer, We are so glad you left happy and your niece was able to safely ear with us. We look forward to seeing you again!! All the best to you- Amanda Mitchell-McGuire-Owner
The sauerkraut soup was divine. I could have eaten another bowl. I had an appetizer sampler for my meal and enjoyed trying everything. My husband really loved the carrot salad side and the Austrian beer. Our server, Matt, was excellent. The violinist was very entertaining. We will definitely go back.
We had a table for 5, and was seated right away. Drinks and appetizers came out quickly, and our meals were served about 30 minutes later. The food was all prepared as ordered, and our waitress was very attentive.
Great service and amazing food!!
Always a wonderful place to have dinner. Great service and a wonderful meal!
Our small group came over to see the Christmas lights at Garvan Gardens and came here for dinner. I had been before and loved the food and atmosphere. We all really enjoyed the food and will definitely come back again. Best German food around in a really nice setting!! If you want fine dining with beer hall combination you will love this place.
I have already recommended it TWICE!!!! Amazingly authentic German cooking! I have not had better schweinehaxe in Germany!!!
Red cabbage was AMAZING, so was the apfel strudel!
Enjoyed perfect table location. Service fair. Food very good!
Ambiance not as advertised. Some scruffy guy running around restaurant in ball cap and dirty work coat destroyed the setting for us for sure. Just can’t understand why a nice restaurant would allow one person to destroy the experience when the setting has so much going for it.
