Love this restaurant. Great food. Good portions. Good service. Good prices.
The hostess wasn’t the friendliest but the waiter was amazing.
I’ve eaten at other German restaurants and this is the most impressive menu I’ve seen. There’s a lot to choose from.
Steinhaus never disappoints. It’s our favorite place to celebrate. Good food, excellent service, and nice ambiance.
Best restaurant around in my opinion. Great atmosphere, great food and service.
They were short servers so the service was a little slow, but they provided good service with what they had to work with. The food was very good and the beer list is extensive!
It was amazing
This was our first time and the food was awesome and our waitress Jordan extremely pleasant. However one of our friends(the birthday person) found a piece of wire in his food. When the assistant manager came over he apologized and explained that it was a piece of the frying basket. He did not offer any type of compensation which was not very professional,in my opinion. We all brought our leftovers home but he was afraid to eat anymore for fear of biting down on another wire.
Was very busy so service was slow but great atmosphere and food so did not mind the wait. Beer selections were also great.
Fabulous food that has so many flavors. Even the sweet tea was wonderful!
Food was mediocre at best. We did not receive any silverware, had to get them ourselves. Entrée delivered before salad or bread. These were delivered at the end of our meal. I would not recommend this restaurant.
Appetizers were very good.
Dinner Entrees- Took roughly 1 hour and 15 minutes from the time dinner entrees were ordered to received at the table. Sides were good, main entrees were lacking both in flavor (not seasoned) and in this case cold/tough (felt/tasted like the kitchen attempted to re-fry the mains).
Excellent wiener veal schnitze. Red cabbage was awesome.
Sat in the patio. Had the pork knuckle- outstanding, although it was a portion large enough for at least 3! Beer on tap was great, wish had a little larger selection of German beers but they more than make up on the bottled section. Also had asparagus-mush room soup. Very good.
This restaurant was recommended to us and the reviews said their strudel was excellent. I ordered a small plate appetizer in anticipation of dessert. The appetizer, which was meatloaf cubes, was extremely salty. And I was very disappointed in the strudel. It was flat, it was soggy, about equal to a toaster strudel. Very disappointed
Food and Drink was outstanding! A fin time had by all! Thank you!
Great experience, wonderful service and great food!
My wife and i have tried to get in for several months and have timed it wrong or didn’t decide quickly enough. Finally made reservations. Everything was excellent. Service and atmosphere was excellent. Will be back!
Authentic German and Prussian meals. Ambience felt as if you were right at home in a German tavern. Great variety of German Beer.
Delicious food and great service. Fun atmosphere.
Wonderful dinner. Food was awesome and service was spot on. Only issue, smoking is allowed in the outdoor dining area. Had we known this we would have asked for indoor dining.
Great german food. Our table for 4 was on the patio and it was lovely. The Sauerbraten was exceptional.
We ate here while on a family trip. It was a very true German restaurant. We loved the outdoor seating. Don’t expect a ‘view’ because it’s on the bottom of a three story building. The patio was pleasant and the food was hot and plenty of it.
The Old World traditional German stone house setting creates the perfect atmosphere to enjoy a truly authentic German meal. Although my Jager Schnitzel was a little off this time around and the fried potatoes could have used a few more minutes of cooking, this was the only negative of a perfect evening out with friends. The pretzel appetizer was perfect to start off with and all of the other meals were cooked to perfection; everyone was full of compliments. Can't wait until we do this again... since we are locals, it won't be long!
Amazing dinner, attentive staff, romantic ambience! Loved everything about this place!!
Service was very slow. Started off well with our waiter making good libation suggestions. But it was over an hour before our entrees arrived and one of them was served cold. The waiter offered to comp the dish and apologized. When it was time for the check, it took three tries before we got a correct tab. First, the wrong dish was comp’d and then the wrong drinks were charged. We were visiting the area but doubt we will make a return visit despite the fun atmosphere and nice music.
Always my first choice for a family meal. We had a table of 12 & it was a busy night (it often is on weekends! ) so we were there for more than 2 hours. However the atmosphere is very happy & energetic - they have live music most weekends I think...we totally enjoyed the beautiful violinist - Oksana Pavilionis. The waitress kept checking on us for drink orders, appetizers, bread, etc.
When the food was delivered, it quieted down because we all loved our food. If you go, you have to get the giant Bavarian Pretzel! & any of the entrees, you can't go wrong.
Thank you Steinhaus for another great meal with great memories!
This was our first time and went based on a recommendation from a friend. Our waiter was excellent and so was the cheese and sausage plate. We also enjoyed the beer. There were four of us and we all got different entrees, they would have been great if not so salty.
It was wonderful!! The food was amazing...as always. They also had a musician playing and it was beautiful.
A wonderful relaxing evening
Food is very good but a little pricey. We enjoy the sausage and cheese board. Tried German meatloaf bites and they are outstanding.
This is a must for anyone visiting Hot Springs. It is our favorite, and so centrally located to other activities and shops. The food is unbeatable and the atmosphere is fun.
Outstanding German food!! Our party of 4 all had different entrees and all were delicious! Great service too!
Russ was a great server—knowledgeable about the ingredients and great at suggesting beers.
Our favorite restaurant in downtown. Food is always amazing
Great food, great service, nice ambience. We go there for special occasions and we'll keep coming back. I recommend this restaurant to friends all the time.
Wonderful food! Friendly service! Can't wait to go back.
Food, drink and service were all excellent! Highly recommend.
