Ground pork and beef, sauted garlic, mirepoix, and parsley wrapped in giant red cabbage leaves then braised. Finished with a Haus-marinara and Parmesan cheese
One pancake served with sour cream
German Potato Salad
The food is always great and we love the atmosphere.
Best schnitzel I ever had...!!! The ambiance was cozy and very nice. Easy to find. Not dissatisfied at all. Go!
Sausage sampler was very good. Schnitzels also good. Try the Brussel sprouts, very tasty!
Great food and service. Loved the Dill Schnitzel. Highly recommend this restaurant.
The food and service was fantastic! Lingonberry schnitzel was to die for.
Pretzel was awesome, rest of food just ok. There seemed to be a lot of non German menu items.
Always an awesome meal
Ambiance is absolutely amazing. Very friendly and helpful staff. Pineapple margarita was absolutely delicious. Veal schnitzel was not good. It was overcooked and dry. 2 meals the same so did not complain. Must be the way they choose to serve it. Sides and warm rolls were good.
We had never been to Hot Springs, so this was also our first visit to Steinhaus Keller. It did not disappoint. We had the giant pretzel and duck dumplings for an appetizer. The pretzel was both crispy and soft with delicious beer cheese and mustard and the duck dumplings where soft, saucy and savory. Main course we had Goulash and Veal Wiener Schnitzel with sauerkraut, spaetzle, brussel sprouts (served salty and with BACON, yum), and German potato salad. All was perfectly seasoned, tender and delicious. We also got to enjoy some live music. There was a violinist on their live stage during dinner. She was very good and her music was not loud or intrusive and made nice ambiance. I would recommend Steinhaus Keller for your German food fix.
The environment was cute and had a nice rustic Germantown feel to it. The food was delicious! We devoured the 10" pretzel before anyone could even snap a picture. Highly recommend eating here.
Food was delicious. Service was really bad. Had to keep asking for things over and over.
Jake was fantastic, very knowledgeable and attentive. The food is authentic and very fresh. The beer is as you would expect it to be, excellent! Prost!
The food was excellent from the pretzel with beir cheese to our entrees. The waiters was very attentive. Would definitely go back.
Great food, great service, overall great experience. We will definitely be back!
Great food, excellent service and a large selection of German beers.
Good to have some authentic German food. not imitation as many. service was outstanding. Will definitely visit again when in town.
Best German food I’ve had in the south! Great beer selection, and the only place I know of where you can get a 32 oz stein!
We were in Bavaria last fall. When we heard about this restaurant, we had to make a trip to Hot Springs (we live in Texarkana, about an hour and a half away) to try it. Loved it! Great German beer selection, great food and great atmosphere. We WILL go back.
Very good place to dine for special occasions like wedding anniversary
We actually are residents in Hot Springs and visit Steinhause at least 3 times a month. My son happened to be here from the military visiting and I wanted to bring him and his wife here as the food and service is always outstanding. However we were seated outside (which was fine) except for the horrible smell coming from somewhere that smells like sewer waste. Our waiter was I believe new and overwhelmed - service was horrible. The food as usual was very good. We own several Airbnb’s and have promoted Steinhause Keller as one of the top places to eat but I don’t recommend sitting outside even though the weather lately has been gorgeous in the evenings but that sewer smell makes eating outdoors very unpleasant.
This is my new favorite restaurant. Everything we ordered was perfect.
Food and service was excellent. Sausage and cheese board more than enough for 2. Ligonberry schnitzel was excellent.
Entertainment was good. Service from server was confusing and not very efficient. Food was only average. The filet was not tender. Neither was the veal. It was a unique experience in Hot Springs, but rather expensive for the quality of the food. I probably would not return.
The food was delicious! We had the sauerkraut cakes (I think that’s what they’re called) for an appetizer. I had the Steinhaus Burger for my entree and my husband had one the the schnitzels (the one with the veggie paste topping). Our server was wonderful and the atmosphere was so neat!
My family and I were anxious to try out German food and we were not disappointed! From the appetizers down to the desserts, everything was delicious. Our server, Matt, patiently helped each of us choose our selections and was spot on with his recommendations.
Steinhaus has one of the best outdoor scenery locations for downtown hot springs. Everytime we've been there, the staff has been very nice and up beat!
We have not had German food in several years as it isn’t available around where we live.
This was delicious, the service great, good ambiance, we will go back whenever we’re in the Hot Springs area
It felt like i was actually in a German town. The beer and food was outstanding. I will come here again.
Menu has changed and not as good as before. With the virus problem possibly a new cook ? Food not as good as last year. Appetizers are pricey for what you get on the boards. Will try again in a few months and hoping it improves as ethnic eateries are limited here.
Unable to control people not wearing masks, had to leave half our dinner on the table after adjacent diner had a sneezing fit. Prior to that food was on point German.
Wonderful dining experience and excellent food. Highly recommended. Our anniversary was great.
Great food and great service!
The food was outstanding and a great value- huge portions! Beer was cold and authentically German. Our server was very attentive and polite. It took quite some time to get our entrees after we finished our appetizer, but that was the only downside.
This restaurant is phenomenal- excellent food, excellent service.
Wonderful, authentic, German food. Michelle was a great waitress as well and we couldn't have been more pleased with the food and serving size. We all had the Jagerschnitzel - excellent! The spatzle, red cabbage, and sauerkraut were some of the best I've had. Wonderful!
This is a MUST VISIT while in Hot Springs! Fantastic Service and even better food! I've eaten here multiple times and have had a great experience every single time.
My wife and I are visiting Hot Springs for a week and decided to give Steinhaus Keller a try. The food was excellent and Jordan took good care of us. We will definitely be back the next time we’re in Hot Springs.
I was surprised that the table linens were not changed after each group exited. A piece of paper was placed over the used linens. During this time of Covid19, diners rest their hands, napkins on their laps which in turn touch the linens with all their biologicals. It would be much more sanitary to change the table cloths after each party exits.
Great waitress. Answered all our questions! Great atmosphere too!
Hated wearing the mask into place (think it’s really stupid) but took off as soon as we sat down.
It is always a trip worth going just to eat the food. We travel 1.5 hours just so we can eat here; at least once a year for our son's birthday. We really look forward to eating there again and hopefully we do so sooner rather than later.
The service is wonderful and I have never had a bad dish-the food is always exceeds our expectations.
