Wonderful first time dining experience—food, ambiance and especially service. Kat(Kathleen) is a keeper. Very knowledgeable about the food and wine.....plus a fabulous personality.

The atmosphere was warm on a brisk autumn evening. The fireplace added to the warmth of the room. For a Tuesday night, it was crowded and lively. The skirt steak was perfect, with strawberry, broccoli rabe, and feta. The small plate and vegetable dishes we ordered were generous portions and very tasty. The Stella Sundae and the chocolate cake with raspberry sorbet were the perfect ending to a delicious meal.

We have been to Stella’s several times including attending a private Gala. We have enjoyed our visits however the food is consistently over salted- to the point of not wanting to finish the meal! I want them to succeed so hopefully this can be corrected- we know others who have shared this observation.

Jose Garces new restaurant and hotel in New Hope has great food, beautiful interior and the deck on the river with heat lamps was perfect for. an afternoon brunch.
The brunch has a lot of choices and worth the money.
We would like to try dinner there sometime.

Tried to order three basic alcoholic drinks and we were told they did not make them and were out of champaign. Our order of asparagus was 4 spears of asparagus for $16- $18. Waited for over an hour between getting our grain (rice) and our protein. Manager comped our asparagus as our meal took so long. We would never go back to Stella or ever recommend it to friends. Awful experience while trying to celebrate a special occasion. So very disappointing.

Tanya was our hostess and she was great getting us seated promptly. She is friendly and attentive. We all enjoyed our meals and beverages. Mike our server made great recommendations. Our only criticism was that our entrees was very small, it was a nice evening and we will be returning soon.
Loved meeting Stella!!!!

Our first time to this lovely restaurant. A quiet evening seated outside with a fantastic view. It was a cool night and the overhead heaters and fireplace were perfect to add some warmth. We Watched a crew team row by, just beautiful. The restaurant is very pretty and comfortable. We had a nice meal. Kept it simple and enjoyed the bread which is really a flatbread with a fabulous onion butter. Crab app was small but nice. Large salad was fresh a bit heavy on the dressing but fine. Scallops were very good.
It was a week night so very relaxed. Server was eager to please. Seems everyone needs an explanation of the menu.
Desserts were fun just need a lot more ricotta in the fritters. S’ more was very good. Will try again soon.

Everything was delicious, and the presentation of the food is really outstanding. The setting, right on the river, is beautiful. My only "complaint" is that the portion sizes are kind of small for the price; you're paying extra for the setting and the presentation. This is the kind of place you go for a special meal, not to get the most food for your dollar. Our favorite dishes of the night were the asparagus Milanese (very crispy!) and the scallops (melt in your mouth like butter).

Excellent service!! Very nice atmosphere and would return for drinks at the bar next time we’re in New Hope. The small plates were all excellent. I was disappointed in my “main dish/entree”... the Wagyu Skirt Steak. Our server informed us that the dish had to be substituted by another cut of meat that evening (I believe it was sirloin). It was tough and stringy and not very flavorful. Perhaps it was because of the substitution made that evening, but I wish I had ordered something else.
I would recommend the country pork rib and peekytoe crab. We also enjoyed the chef’s selection of spreads. Next time, we would order more of the small plates and dine tapas style.

The woman who greeted us was nice and we were sat in a booth even though I reserved a high top. We chose to stay there because my daughter liked the booth. It took our server 10 to 15 minutes to get to our table then she explained the menu and walked away without taking a drink order after telling us she would give us some time to get settled. We wanted to try the chef's tasting menu but were told we couldn't do it for two since there were three of us. I had every intention of buying her a separate dinner. A half hour or more after we were seated our drinks came and we ordered food. My husband had a crab appetizer with chips but it was so watery it was difficult to eat, but it was good. The salad I ordered was also very good. We ordered fried rice and chicken and dumplings for the 2 of us to share. The rice was good and was a nice sized portion. The chicken and dumpling were supposed to be over spinach gnocchi. There may have been two in the bowl and they were the size of a chopped small potato. The chicken portion was so small that it was sad. My daughter ordered the scallops and although they were good they were not worth the price. There were 3 small scallops. Also, my husband ordered a bourbon and they ran out of what he asked for. By the time we were ready for dessert we were so disappointed we just didn't want dessert or coffee. I had very high expectations and they were certainly not met. With all the restaurants in the area I have no desire to go back again any time soon.

We had requested a river view on our reservation. Stella’s called before we came to tell us we’d still get a view but maybe not what we were expecting. That was really helpful so we weren’t surprised upon arrival. Food was good a little slow to come out, but we were ok w it. Loved our outdoor seating and not feeling rushed. I would probably order different entrees next time. We got what a friend recommended this time. Thank you it was a perfect weather evening, view, good company and experience.

We ate on the open air porch which was lovely. It overlooks the Delaware River. Seating inside, would not have been as good for me due to the noise level.
Our waitress, Tonya, was superb. She was pleasant, informed, and helpful.
The menu is divided into 3 columns with small plates on the left, medium sized plates in the middle and larger plates on the right. We ordered vegetarian options from the first and middle columns.
The small plates were truly fine. The items were creative, appealing, and well seasoned and had interesting and creative textures.
The medium plates were visually attractive, but lacked character. The seasoning, for us, was a little bland. They weren't as creative as the small plates. The portions were generous.
We didn't have any dessert so I can't comment on the desserts.
Overall, the evening was a great success with our group. When we return, which we certainly will, the small plates, will be our focus.

The staff are incredibly accommodating and the food was quite good. Dishes are well prepared and beautifully presented. The menu is a bit of a hodge lodge and the plating is overwrought......too many plates on the table. Wine list okay. Desserts are too rich for my taste. The seating overlooking the river is wonderful!!! I hope they work out their kinks.

I think this restaurant needs more time to work out their kinks. There was only two people at one of the tables in the dining room area inside when we arrived. We had a reservation. They gave us a table which was right next to the bar and facing the window.

It was awkward sitting down when my daughter had to try to slide into a seat with the other table so close and the rest of the dining room was completely empty. It did start to fill up about an hour after we got there however there are many 4 tops still available. Also our able was facing a window, so it was hard to converse together as three people.

The food was good but the selection of menu items were small so if you have someone who is picky this is not the place to take them. We had the butter and bread which was great. The crab small plate was good but the masa chips were so hard the food fell off with trying to bite down. It was either stick the whole chip in you mouth or try to break them before you dipped. We also had fired rice, wagu beef and seafood tempura which was fine but all of the entree needed more seasoning especially salt.

Our service was great and our server was very attentive.

The food was very creative and tasty, exceeding expectations. Server was very pleasant and well informed. The TV's were distracting and not consistent with the foodie experience. The music piped only added to the already loud background noise. So much noise we had to stop our conversation as the waiter at the next table explained the menu to his customers. Overall, though, a nice addition to the New Hope scene.

Although the food was good, it was too disjointed - there was no theme. We were fortunate to get outdoor seating but the view was ruined by non-diners who stood all around the perimeter with their drinks and constantly taking selfies.

New Hope is a great location. Decor is nice, tasteful. We had reservations a month out and asked if we could sit outside. Asked upon arrival , Hostess said she would check but never came back.
Waitress was friendly and knowledgeable. Food was ok. I was a bit disappointed with all the hype.

Stella is stellar. Great addition to New Hope scene. Uses riverside setting to utmost effect. Buzzy, fun vibe. Outside deck in good weather is ideal. Then there’s the food. We had the chef selection and were dazzled by every creative course. Tempura squash blossoms, quinoa tabbouleh, a moist pork chop, perfectly done scallops. But you could make a light meal out of just the starter: griddled sourdough and a trio of spreads that were sublime. Pro tip: reservations are getting scarce but comfy sofas inside and out by the fireplaces are first come, first served. Should be great in fall and winter. Can’t wait to return and see if it was all an amazing dream.

Four of us had the chef’s tasting menu, two with wine pairings. The food was quite good, the wine pairings good value. But, when going out for a good meal that is going to set you back close to $100 a person you’d like to enjoy the food and the company of your companions. This proved to be difficult as the dining room was dominated by four large TV’s showing highlights of baseball and football games. The room is very noisy, the background music provided by the restaurant makes it more so. Please, ditch the TV’s and the music and let the food and wine be the focus.

Jose Garces’ restaurants never ever disappoint. This is the third one of his restaurants that we have been to and it is definitely not the last. The service was outstanding. Our waiter was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. He took his time to explain the menu and even went out of his way to make sure the bar could make a drink for me. The food was unmatched. The taste, value, and even the way the food looked was amazing. Thank you to the entire staff for a great day night.
