Mostly affordable and delicious food supplemented by quick and polite service makes this a solid 4 stars restaurant. Just avoid the lobster as it is not worth the asking price. If the lobster had had a normal size this place would have deserved 5 stars.
The service we excellent, and we both agreed that the ambience of the rooms combine for optimal experiences.
We ordered a few different dishes. I have ordered them from best recommendation to the dishes that failed to impress.
1) Truffle egg fried rice (must try - best dish of the night)
2) Pandan Macaron (must try - we expected the mango sticky rice to be the best dish however this is by a mile their best dessert)
3) Rock oysters (they were good and juicy!)
4) softshell crab
5) vegetable curry
Lobster dish (We ordered the whole lobster however it might have been the least lobster meat I have seen in a while. For some reason the lobster claws were also MIA. Avoid this one.)
We ordered off the lunch time set menu. Delicious food and excellent value.
Wonderful tasting menu varied tasty and different. Will definitely go again yum yum
The service was good, attentive and helpful however food was nice but nothing special. I had expected more after reading previous reviews.
Interesting food and wine menu, tasty dishes, especially the pudding. Service also really good.
The scrummiest yummiest tasty meal you could wish to have in London! Our third visit to Sticky Mango did not disappoint. We had old favourites like the Malaysian curry puffs and chicken satay, we tried the lobster for the first time which was out of this world along with delicious tiger prawn curry. Could not fault one morsel. Will be dreaming of this meal for months to come. We cannot wait for our next visit.
Great food, top quality. Asian food redefined
Average quality, portions fairly small
Small menu and some dishes were not available(Thai green curry). The food we tasted was good but was expensive. Staff were friendly but place lacked atmosphere
Taster menu. Real (unexpected ) treat. Will be back
Very helpful and attentive service. Excellent food and choice of wines. A great place
Overpriced for portion size. Preferred it as a French Restaurant. Disappointing
We've found our new favourite! Spring at Somerset House was our go to for fantastic food, service and ambiance...but not anymore. Blown away by the tasting menu - everything was simply beauty on a plate and our taste buds were treated to some of the most amazing flavours ever. the sommelier parred the wines with our food which was an extra surprise. Highly recommend. Fantastic value for money.
Small, atmospheric restaurant five minutes walk from the National theatre and Festival Hall complex. Excellent for pre/post theatre. Good selection of small and large plates. Imaginative far eastern food beautifully presented. Particularly enjoyed prawn curry. Friendly service.
great everything, food, service and value
9 course tasting menu, thai cocktails, flowering blossom tea
Really enjoyable meal with good service and a pleasant ambience.
Yes 1st time we have been and were very pleased with the food options, quality and taste and the service. One to keep in mind for future.
We were a table of eight. Efficient service, lovely tasty food would definitely go again. We really enjoyed the pre-theatre dinner menu..
Food was excellent - very tasty and well cooked.
We were seated downstairs and it was very noisy - we could hardly hear ourselves think, let alone talk! Ask to be seated upstairs.
My second visit here and I brought a couple of friends to try this place. Everything was excellent. The food was superb and it seems unfair to carp about anything but we did have to wait a while before having our order taken. The prices are a bit steep but overall it is good value for money. I wold certainly recommend Sticky Mango for a special occasion or even just a good night out
Delicious food, friendly service. Amazing puddings. Would definitely return.
Just discovered this place and loved it!
Fabulous as always! Food is very tasty and it’s nice atmosphere for a chilled dinner
Too expensive for the quality of the food - could get same food at standard Thai restaurant
This is the second time I dined at Sticky Mango in a fortnight. The first one was a fabuluos experience. Last night it was a nightmare:(
We had to wait half an hour between our starters and the main dish. The food was not tasty and the portions much smaller than 2 weeks ago.Such a shame. Even the wine was questonable? Too bad for them!
The food was great. The service was friendly and efficient. Really enjoyed his restaurant.
Service was terrible as not very attentive. we asked for desert menue but were never asked if we want desert.
Great food and impeccable service. The lamb shank was delicious and not too big, and the monk fish was crispy on the outside and perfect on the inside.
Possibly the worst dining experience of my entire life of living in London for 40 years. Booked a table for 7:30pm dinner for two to try out this restaurant local to us for the first time. Ordered two starters and two drinks. These items arrived soon after the order and were eaten and drunk by 8pm. Mains were ordered shortly after 8:00pm. At 9:30pm we left the restaurant having not received the mains, no further drinks were offered from 8pm. That’s 2 hours in a restaurant and we were only served two small starters and two drinks, nobody came to check or care about us. Service was shocking. When we decided to walk out at the 2 hour mark, the manager didn’t charge for the starters or the two drinks and frankly I didn’t expect anything less. Needless to say I won’t ever be dining in this pathetic establishment again.
Friendly service , interesting dishes , relaxed atmosphere
Pleasant and cosy Asiatic ambience. Service friendly and attentive. Food tasty and imaginative, but on the expensive size for the portions and the ingredients.
Flavors were excellent, good decor. Service could have been better but not so bad as to be a deal breaker. Would go back for sure!
Busy for a Tuesday night, very friendly service. Had curry puffs and spicy prawns as starters both of which were great. Main course of lamb shank (under cooked) and blackened cod (tiny portion for £24!) were slightly disappointing.
Really enjoyed the food but felt rice portions were a bit on the small side especially the coconut rice. Black pepper prawns were sensational and really lovely service from the waitress
Delicious food, attentive service. I had the lamb shank, mmm!
A bit of a hidden gem. Had the tasting menu and very interesting mix
Gorgeous restaurant, pescatarian tasting menu was amazing 😋
Had a great first experience a few weeks ago, this time didn't seem to live it up to the first. Food wasn't quite as impressive (although still good) and service although nice and friendly, was on the slow side.
This was one of my son’s birthday celebrations. We all had the taster menu. We go to restaurants a lot so we feel we know what good looks like.
It was simply brilliant. Food, wine, ambiance, service as good as it comes.
