Value for the prices was not there. Seafood Platter was $210! Not even high end restaurants in the are charge that. Over priced and no variety.

Awesome. Joseph D’avito created another gem. Food, presentation and service were terrific. Honey walnut shrimp, grilled octopus, hamachi, spicy cauliflower done perfectly. The desserts were terrific. Cannot wait to try the rest of the menu. If you want to impress someone or if you just want a great meal, go there.

Very pleased with this new Gold Coast spot! They have a great daily happy hour until 7. We tried the Crispy Rice Cakes, Jack’d Up Fried Rice and the Sizzling Stone. The rice cakes and fried rice were amazing, the sizzling stone was a little disappointing for the $$$. Service was great, ambience is great, definitely recommend!

Great ambiance. Friendly staff. Food was delicious. We weren't aware the kitchen closed at 10 until the server came and told us at 9:30 - not a big deal though since she gave us ample time to look over the menu and order. Only thing is she didn't really come back once our food came out, so we had to swap our own plates with an empty table for one of the other dishes.

Terrible restaurant. The food is mediocre at best, and the service is even worse. This is a see and be seen place that clearly doesn't value service or food. They actually allowed two people sit in a section meant for one, thus crowding the other paying guests in that section. Spend your money elsewhere. Maple and Ash, Gibsons, or Nico are all much better. The only good part of the evening is they had live music, and the band was very good.

This was our first time at the Stockton & we were very pleased. My husband & I went on a Friday night with a 5:30 reservation. Daniel was our waiter. He was excellent. Great recommendations on the food choices, really nice upbeat personality & very attentive. We started with the small seafood tower & really enjoyed it. Our next choice was the Kobe beef served aside the hot stone you cook to your liking-really excelllent!! Our last shared plate was the sushi salmon which is torched before serving. Great choice, the salmon has a smoky flavor that we really liked-a nice twist from the traditional salmon sushi. We decided to spend some time in the bar after dining in the restaurant. The bartenders were really attentive, pleasant personalities, professional & pour a nice drink. We also met the manager (Jeff) that evening & he definitely wanted to make sure we were happy & pleased with our dining experience. To sum it up, we would highly recommend The Stockton, we loved it!

To be fair the decor and cocktails were good, but sadly it only went downhill from there. For being a new restaurant you think that the server would ask us if we’ve ever dined with them or explain the menu. We had to ask what were favorites , how many dishes should we split, are the dishes splittable ?

We had at least seven people coming to our table. Then while half way through, we had 3 separate busboys rushing to come to our table asking to remove plates of food when we were still eating . We decided to just let them win and stop eating so that they would leave us alone. Most of the staff seems to have never worked in the restaurant industry or even dined at one.

The menu’s description of the food differed from what was served. The food was subpar and tasted like it was frozen and then made to order whether it was microwaved or deep fried .

We were the only people in the restaurant at primetime on a Friday night. This place needs a complete overhaul if it wants to stay open. The quality of the food and service cannot compete with the other restaurants in the area and probably not elsewhere either.

Good service and fun atmosphere...the band was amazing in the live music room. The menu is a little bit of a hodge podge with no identity and all over the place. The meal itself was decent...expected more.

Every part of our experience at Stockton was excellent. From the mini frozen drink they gave us upon arrival to the delectable pancakes with cinnamon ice cream for dessert. The fish was fresh and first quality and the dishes were creative, beautifully presented, and delicious. We would definitely go again!

Food was amazing. The cod wraps and salmon were cooked to perfection. The rock shrimp tasted amazing. We were offered small drinks upon arrival. The pace was relaxing but upbeat. DJ was lively. Our waitress made the evening!!! It is a place you want to hang out with friends and eat healthy and listen to an awesome DJ.

The food at this place is barely editable. I am a terrible cook, however, I would say that my scrambled eggs would be much better than here. The steak and eggs is barely warm when both items are chewy and do not taste fresh. The eggs are like rubber. My daughter ordered Acai bowl - again a watery failed order. It basically tastes nothing. We also ordered truffled fries. Again the fries are cold and have no truffle favor at all. A complete failure and we will not go there again for sure - an expensive failure too.

Great location, good atmosphere, brunch menu and food quality still needs work- felt like bagel was from freezer case at Jewel. Would be nice to see: more actual brunch items, i.e. egg dishes, larger format brunch cocktails, and value for money on cocktails vs other neighborhood locations not where it needs to be yet. Am a neighbor and would love to see Stockton become our top go to but needs work.

Was expecting a high end excellent restaurant with excellent service based on the website’s depiction.....none of which was delivered. Even the stairwell to walk up to restaurant was in poor shape. The server was not knowledgeable or even highly promoting of the restaurant...it’s as if she was handed a uniform and pad of paper to take our order....food was good not excellent but side dish was served halfway through our steak dinner. Sushi good. Drinks very good.

Overall, experience was ok but to be a restaurant on Rush/State street Triangle you better be top notch if you charge Gold Coast prices.....will not return.

I was so excited to bring my friend here from Montreal last night and we were both extremely underwhelmed. We shared the truffle tuna, that had no taste and we let the staff know they too it off the bill (I suggested shaved truffle on top) this set the tone for the rest of the dinner. The oysters were fresh and tasty. The drinks were nice, the hot stone plate was the best thing (but it was small since it was pricey meat) the lobster mac need salt. The lemon bar dessert tasted like raw flour dough. Basically all the dishes missed the mark, by a long shot :( For the prices the food should have been 10 x's better, but we essentially had dinner at a high class restaurant with a Bennigans meal. Im disappointed to say the least. Id spend the moon and the stars on a fabulous tasty dinner but I feel a bit ripped off here. Now the manager came out to check on us. that was nice. The hostess spoke nicely and classy, everyone was VERY nice. The decor was awesome too, except the bathroom had cheap paper napkins. The waiter started off very strong, but we knew we were his last table as he mentioned. There was a hiccup with my CC and it was declined bc I think we ran it too many times so the bank stopped payment. While I was on the phone with my bank (who cleared it up) the waiter reminded us that he wanted to leave and asked my guest if he had a form of payment. I was embarrassed to say the least. Plus I felt like he was rushing us and upset with me that my bank had me on hold. I would not recommend STOCKTON to any of my friends, I would only come back if management would like to offer me a complete comped redo.
