We have been twice and enjoyed both times. The service is excellent and food yummy. The cocktails are tempting and wine unusual. Lots of choice on beers and Ale. All round a great place to go.

Would be great to have the a la carte menu available a little earlier on a Saturday. Sunday lunch menu was lovely, we would have had starters if available too. Service was fantastic. Already booked for our anniversary and Xmas eve.

Felt sorry for the doorman. It was freezing cold outside. The food took ages to arrive, about 45 mins and the place was not that busy. The food was very nice. The noise was awful. Just people talking. Was glad to leave immediately after the meal. The staff were lovely.

Opening night, much busier than expected it would be on a normal evening, staff performed really well even though under high stress levels, menus a bit limited & more expensive than had expected because all veg/salad extra & the drinks seemed expensive too for a local community pub.
Two pints of beer & one bottle of Presecco was £40! & we had five rounds!!

Starting with the positives, the place looked great and the staff were very smart and friendly. The food however was not great and the service was poor. We waited 45 minutes for the food to be served, there were no condiments on the table and when I asked for some I was brought a some salt and nothing else. We paid £23 for a bottle of wine that tasted awful. The pie and mash, photo attached, was embarrassing.

It was the opening night after a refurbishment, had high hopes and really wanted it to be amazing! Unfortunately fire in the pub round the corner did mean the bar was very very busy and very very noisy. Menu limited and well over priced, however would not have minded price if food had been better. Service slow, incorrect food arrived along with incorrect bill.

Will give another go as hopefully teething problems and really want it be good and a success.

This pub/restaurant is trying to be too many things. It's far too expensive to be a local regular eatery but too noisy and full of children to be for a special date night. The menu was disappointing as the only thing I wanted from it was not available. Far nicer places locally for a more reasonable price.

Underwhelming! Dined on opening night (6:00pm). Is it a restaurant or a pub? Had booked a table but had to go the bar to 'book in'. Very busy so they needed someone to welcome and seat guests. Supposed to be Recorderlig (Strawberry & Lime) on draught but it was only apple - even then some £5 per pint! When sat down ordered wine - no Merlot available - why? Wine very expensive (£30.50 for a bottle of Merlot) - double the cost of nearby Bar in the Village and even more expensive than Corks Out (with corkage charge). Food okay although tarter sauce with fish is usually separate. Very poor dessert menu - only 3/4 options. Service generally poor. Very, very noisy - hard to have a conversation. Strange gentleman on the door - not sure what he was supposed to be doing. If only a restaurant will opt for Little Italy instead. Very disappointed.

My wife and I were looking forward to trying the revamped Stonemasons as it looked inviting from the outside. Unfortunately, we were disappointed.
It was reasonably busy for a Monday night but not too busy for the number of staff. We waited by the greeting desk at the door but had to wait to be hailed by a lady behind
the bar for the initial service. Eventually we were seated at a high table near a window. Our waitress was very polite and pleasant, gave us menus and took our drinks order. So far so good.
The menu was mixed – pizza, burger, chicken, steak and a couple of beef dishes. Prices were higher than we would expect for a “gastro pub”, especially when a side was added. We didn’t fancy a starter so ordered a beef rib and a salt beef pot roast. Both dishes were complete so didn’t require a side. The wine and beer arrived so we relaxed in the ambiance of nice lighting and pleasant music.
The food arrived and my wife’s face fell. She looked at my meal and said “it’s a good job there’s a Londis on the way home - you’ll still be hungry!! A small portion of mashed potato, a few pieces of tiny cut veg and six cubes of meat. The white plate was huge which only went to emphasise the small portion. The meat was unusual – couldn’t really identify what it was; dry, pinkish and very chewy, more like a piece of plastic than meat. On a positive note the mashed potato was delicious and I savoured the mouthful. I have never complained about a meal – I just accept the poor food and service and we don’t go back. On this occasion though I was prepared to comment, but at no point during the meal were we asked if everything was ok or at the end if we had enjoyed it. My wife said that hers was ok, a little fatty but that’s ok, and a little sparse.
We may pop in for a drink if we are passing as bar prices were ok and we liked the feel of the place.
Not sure how it will fare as a "go to" restaurant in Timperley, Sale or Altrincham - some very good competition on quality and price.

Poor menu options
I would not class this as a restaurant, it's a pub with food as an after thought.
The staff were lovely and very attentive, but were badly let down with quality of food and the ambiance of the place.
Would not go in for a meal again - may go for a drink, but other nicer places in Timperely village now for a drink. Very disappointing.
