Sharing the ground floor with the magnificent triple-height lobby is The Stratford Brasserie. The seasonal menu, by Ben Harrington, formerly of Soho House, is characterised by local produce and European influences, blending classic brasserie staples with a touch of the unexpected.

Uniting locals, guests and residents over coffee, cocktails and light, relaxed dishes, The Stratford Brasserie is unlike anything in the city – a sprawling, vibrant space featuring an open kitchen, eclectic seating and lounge area and in addition an art installation called ‘Gust of Wind’ by Paul Cocksedge.

What a lovely place! Stunning interiors, attentive staff and excellent food. We came as a party of 8 and all left delighted by the experience. A really great addition to the area - highly recommended.

A beautiful venue and a welcome addition to Stratford. The staff were very attentive and made me feel special - it was my birthday!
I am looking forward to returning in a few months to dine at the Allegra restaurant.

The brasserie service was very poor. Breakfast was served cold. It's obviously very early and is suffering teething troubles.

Good points: Lovely decor, friendly service, excellent wines. Bad: no oysters early on a Saturday evening (this was the main reason I chose this restaurant), I ordered a hot smoked trout salad but was brought the trout main (I didn't send it back as hate food wastage), everything was lukewarm (which made the hasselback potato almost inedible as the cheese had congealed).

Would definitely try this restaurant again though as it's early days and I think they are probably still sorting out timings. It was quite an expensive meal for two (£168) which didn't feel like good value given the bad points. Let's hope next time there's nothing to complain about!

Utterly disappointed
Still looking for the prawns in my main
Empty completely no atmosphere
The staff tried their best but the food is the main attraction and was less than average
What a limited menu
On a positive note the tiramisu was very good

I will start by saying that I went for to the soft launch so the food was discounted, however the full menu was being served. I would not have been happy to pay full price.

The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and is well decorated. We were greeted very nicely and shown to our table early which was good. The restaurant was busy but not full. Once we have seated we were asked for drinks almost immediately but this was too soon. However it took over 20mins to be asked again.

The wine was very good. The food however was in my opinion too salty. I had to send back my first plate as was unpalatable due to amount of salt. This was changed with no issues and I got something else. I notice another table also sent back undercooked fish (which I saw) and this was sent back again.

One thing I didn't like was that lots of people seemed to work there which I felt always just too many... Perhaps this is why the prices are so high...? For example spoke to two people before seated, had one main waitress, a person who brought the drinks, another who took the glasses, another who brought the water, another who took the plates, another who brought the food, another who wiped the table etc. It was over the top. There was also just lots of people standing around in suits giving the place a bit of pretentiousness as though they are checking you out? Hard to explain. It was just a bit intimidating.

Food and service was attentive and welcoming.
My only feedback would be some of the items on the menu don't come with sides as they have to be ordered separately which is fair enough but I ordered fries which didn't arrive until 15 minutes later and so I sat with a plate containing one chicken schnitzel which was a very strange eating experience. I then had to eat a mini bucket of fries on their own. Moral of the story is if you offer sides make sure they come out with the chosen main.

Amazing food, the burrata was delicious and the steak (Cumbrian rib of beef) was superb. Impressive wine selection.
Very slow service though, waited for almost one hour between the starters and the main... they apologised and didn’t charge us for a couple of Apperol Spritzs we had with the starters.

Fantastic opening week for The Stratford. Great tasty food, attentive service and a beautiful interior.

We had the shared 28 day beef steak and baked Alaska for desert. The hasselback potatoes were amazing and the best we’ve had. Definitely was a pleasant surprise. The waiter was great and we found him professional and knowledgeable of the menu.

The wine selection is mixed and some good choices. Looking forward to returning
