Superb food and atmosphere. An explosion of tastes. Would recommend
Was tempted by everything on the menu, but fortunately resisted ;-) Shared a Pita Balagan & Charred Cauli, both were excellent , even though not a huge Cauli fan! Had the Crispy spuds as a side and the Squid for a main, spuds were yummy, squid was OK (slightly on chewy side). Overall a very good meal, reasonably priced sparkling wine, the house Red Wine will not be on my buy again list, plenty of others to try on menu though.
Overall a very good meal and excellent service atmosphere :-)
Quite small with tight seating and our first table was near a large group and very noisy. However did get moved to a quieter spot. Overall staff were very friendly and attentive. Food was original and very tasty. Would recommend.
We asked to change tables because it was very noisy and the manager very kindly arranged it.
The restaurant is smaller than it seems in the pictures.
The waiters did not paid much attention to us, we had stand up twixe
It’s great, we keep on going back. Food is great, service as well, and close from home. It’s perfect!
I have been to S&C half a dozen times now, including lunch, brunch and dinner and the experience never fails to deliver. Simply excellent food. Try everything and you won’t be disappointed.
The food was absolutely delicious! Everything we picked hit the spot. The venue had a friendly atmosphere and the staff were welcoming. We will definitely be back!
Truly enjoyable brunch option on Commercial Road. Fantastic mediterranean dishes beautifully presented by friendly, unobtrusive staff. Will definitely return.
Brilliant place. Took my parents who also loved it. It was so good I’ve booked to go back next week with friends. Great middle eastern flavours and very reasonably priced.
Excellent food and service as always! Love this place.
So fresh and delicious.
Food and menu was odd with service very poor, we won’t be back.
Delicious food and very accommodating for my dietary requirements. The decor was beautiful and the place is very bright and vibrant. I recommend the pulled chicken shawarma.
We had a lovely evening here. Great food and even better service.
It’s a lovely little restaurant with really warm and friendly staff ! The danger with the menu is you’re spoilt for choice and might not fit through the door on the way out! We had the fluffiest pitta with two well seasoned dips to start. Theh we shared the squid and the whole fish wish were both gorgeous, well cooked, lovely flavours and went well with their accompaniments. I do wish the waitress as suggested we get some sort of side of vegetables for the whole fish nevertheless drizzled with the lemon oil was lovely.
As someone who’s not keen on chocolate desserts I was tentative about ordering the brownie but it’s was warm and light with the halva giving an earthy sweetness. We chose to get pistachio gelato with it and I could eat that by the tub full. It genuinely tasted of pistachio and had the smallest of violet/floral aftertastes!
The restaurant vibe was great and food amazing!
Really recommended for a special meal
The Sunday brunch menu is a bit limited compared with the normal menu but nonetheless packed with delicious food. The take on eggs benedict was delicious, as was the pita with pears, honey and nuts.
Very cozy & friendly restaurant. Perfect for weekend brunch! I’m in love with their Shakshuka👌🏼😋 Definitely will come back there!
The food is amazing. I especially love the crispy cod!
Fantastic menu which made choosing very hard - all of the food was fantastic and would def go back to try out some of the other items
Excellent location, very attentive people, great chef I'd say... So far one of the best fish dish ever had in London...might be because of the quality but also because of the great cooking skills of the chef....I'd say I expect someone to offer us like a digestive drink such as Amaro after having spent that amount of money.... perhaps next time.... overall excellent experience for us (big group of people) thank you very much
I'd recommend this lovely restaurant to anyone. The owners and staff are welcoming, the food is original, gently spicy and very tasty, and what a refreshing change not to have vast quantities of salad and veg thrown on the plate. So that leaves plenty of room for chocolate and a little more red wine to finish off! It ticks all the boxes for me. Sorry no pics, maybe next time!
Found this wonderful place after visiting Dennis Severs house. Stunning eastern med food, really good for sharing. Roasted cauliflower outstanding as was the spiced turkey thigh. It was all really good and made a memorable evening.
Strut & Cluck's food is delicious. It was my second visit and it did not disappoint, and one my other friends often frequent. Food is top notch and service and ambience is great. Good for date night/family/friends - would highly recommend!
It's one of my new favourites. The food is exquisite (try the cauliflower!) and the service very good.
It is a very small restaurant though, there is not much space and it gets very noisy (can't-hear-your-own-word-noisy). So on this particular visit (my birthday) I found it a bit stressful and not sure I'd come back on a Saturday night. On less busy nights, anytime.
Turkish Eggs were fantastic! Very nice decor and friendly ambience.
I came here when it hadn't been open long and had a really great experience with one of the owners/managers talking us through the menu, making recommendations and generally chatting away, plus the food was delicious, so an experience that made me want to go back. This time the food was still fantastic and a change from all the burgers and pizza in the area, but the service was seriously lacking, which I can only put down to popularity of the place and the need for more staff who weren't necessarily as experienced or knowledgeable. We had to chase for water, chase to make our order, chase for forgotten drinks, etc; the server seemed to become moodier as the meal went on and the bill was the fastest thing they brought over. This doesn't take away from the food at all but it was nothing compared to my first visit and not worthy of a 12.5% service charge.
This restaurant was recommended to me and I was not disappointed, it was amazing the food was superb and the staff were so nice and friendly. It was my friend's birthday and they brought her up a brownie with a candle in it which was a lovely gesture and which was also delicious. I cannot wait to go back to try more of the menu. If you want middle eastern food then this is the place to go, it also has the added benefit in that the food is very healthy too. What more could you want delicious food that is also health conscious.
The ambience was really pretty and interesting, the service excellent. Just the food wasn’t amazing according to my friend, ok edible but not amazing
The brunch menu at this place was amazing, good flavours and so yummy. Service was a bit poor on this occasion, but has been good whenever I’ve been in the past
Poor service and very noisy. Forced us too pay for snacks ( chickpeas and olives) that we didn't order. Food was good but nothing more then that.
Such amazing food, each member of my group raved over every dish we tried and shared. It was healthy, delicious and I’d highly recommend!
Thoroughly enjoyable birthday lunch with delicious cocktails and food in a really welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. Can't wait to go again. The name fails to suggest it's a real gem for vegetarians too. My vegetarian friend had been past many times and never considered it
Really amazing food with a wide variety of GF options. We'll definitely be going back again!
The staff-recommended salmon main was swimming in oil. Overall just an ok experience.
Great food and flavours and beautiful atmosphere
excellent experience all round excellent experience all round
The food was fantastic and so original! Cannot recommend enough!
Incredible food, I could have had everything from the menu. It tasted as good as it sounds. I can’t wait to go back. Perfect for groups to share
The food was fantastic. Great for vegetarians and meat-eaters alike. Lots of gluten free options and some vegan options too. We had the fritters, mushrooms, lettuce cups, crispy cod (very good and the batter is gluten free) and the shawarma followed but an excellent gf brownie. One of my favourite restaurants in London!
We were all very impressed with Strut and Cluck! I booked for 6 of us, late lunch on Easter Friday. I'd read the reviews etc so knew it wasn't chicken as the name may suggest!!
There were lots of choices on the menu, all sounding tasty. We were given recommendations as well as detailed explanation of the special. Very friendly and helpful staff who were one step ahead the whole time.
When the food came it looked so good! As we'd hoped after reading the menus, it was full of flavour. We all had our own main meal but I can see how I might go with the girls and have a few of everything and share.
We had a few cocktails and spirits, main meal each and shared the cauliflower (which was lovely!) and it came to less than £45 each. Cheaper than expected based on what we ordered!
I would highly recommend this place - will definitely be going back.
