Start to finish, this was a highlight of our trip to Lisbon. The food and wine were almost equal to the service and the stories our waiter shared with us. You should not miss the people, view, food, experience this restaurant has to offer. This was a return worthy experience from start to finish.

We love the restaurant., food and the atmosphere are sensational. In a few days it will have a Michelin’s star. Chef Fábio Alves is a pleasant surprise.

We went for Valentine's Day dinner.
I booked in early January and was told with two days to go we had to eat from a higher price set menu.
The restaurant also tried to change our booking time by 1.5hours the day before.
The service was extremely rushed. We had no time to appreciate the courses indivually or taste the wine as we should.
We felt some of the courses were far from amazing.
Also odd no hot drink served at the end of the meal.

We had a fantastic meal with excellent wine and service . The views are wonderful and we would return without hesitation if back in Lisbon . About 200 Euros with a mid priced bottle if wine and 3 courses for 2 people .

Absolutely brilliant evening everything about our experience was fantastic and will never forget.

Fantastic restaurant

One of the best meal we have ever had

Without a doubt the finest dining experience I've ever had in my life. The food was excellent, presentation was phenomenal and the service was extraordinary. If you eat one place in Lisbon make this your place.

Our dinner at Suba restaurant was one of the best meals of my life. The food and service was without equal and the presentation was beautiful. The staff were charming, attentive and well-informed. It was a delicious introduction to Lisbon, and I hope we shall have the opportunity to dine there again.

The view and setting is quite lovely and the staff could not have been better. Knowledgeable, attentive and gracious.

Fantasy views, service and food. A hidden gem

Suba is a gastronomic experience, with wonderful attention paid to details of presentation and plating. The service is among the best I have experienced anywhere around the world. And all for a reasonable price, considering the elegance of the restaurant.

The weakness of Suba is the chef's handling of flavor. The overall palate is, well, bland, punctuated by a few overwhelming flavor bombs that wreck your mouth for the next bite. One case in point is the smoked tuna appetizer. Delicate and delightful, it's topped with a huge scoop of pepper ice cream--a culinary non sequitur, but an interesting idea--that is SO peppery that my tongue went flavor blind.

The amuse bouche was beautifully presented in a gorgeous smokey box, but the bite itself was an exercise in blandness. Though it had great texture it had no flavor.

The location of Suba is in one of the most gorgeous spots in Lisbon. That said, what might have/should have been a gorgeous view of the river and the city at night was marred by lighting that transformed the panoramic windows into mirrors. I had a far better view of my wife and me--and of the hardworking waiter behind us--than we did of the city.

We took our dessert on the rooftop terrace and enjoyed a spectacular view of the city. Our wine came with us, but once we were seated, I had to chase down the waiter to get our glasses refilled.

Suba has a lot of potential, and I would certainly return. If that happens, I'm confident that they will have worked out the bugs, and will live fully to the promise of its potential.

Stunning experience, food, service, ambience, VIEWS!

Just a fantastic meal! Broke off from our tour group for a special birthday dinner and spotted the great reviews on Open Table, which has never steered me wrong. We photographed every course to send to our foodie kids, who were jealous. We did not so the tasting menu but the a la carte selections were fantastic and fairly priced. Save room for dessert! The Fake Strawberry dessert is not to be missed. Attentive service and nice wines by the glass.

The presentation of each dish was beautiful and the quality/taste just as unique and delicious. For a 6 course meal + drinks, the price was still affordable relative to any US restaurant of this standard. The view is one if the best in Lisbon and you will not be disappointed.

Great views, great service, and great cocktails!

Wow! One of the best meals we have EVER had and we are fortunate to have dined in so many nice restaurants all around the world.

The dining room is classy but understated. Tables are positioned so you are not on top of other diners. We were fortunate to get a window table with a terrific view of the Christo Rei statue and the Ponte 25 de Abril bridge.

A selection of breads with butter and olive tapenade were presented shortly after being seated. That was followed by an arancini amuse bouche served in a wooden box. When the box was opened, the smoke that was used to flavor the truffled rice balls inside appeared as if by magic.

We chose the 4 course tasting menu with paired wines. Every dish was prepared like a work of art and the ingredients were fresh and delicious with well balanced, complementary flavors. Wine pairings were well thought out and a perfect foil for every dish.

Service was friendly and polished. Servers were attentive and deftly moved in and out with each course.

While chilly and windy weather did not allow us to really enjoy it, the rooftop bar is sexy and offers 360 degree views of Lisbon.

Not inexpensive, we’ve paid twice as much for meals half as good.

Suba knocked it out of the park and we will not hesitate to go back if ever given the chance and tell everyone about it.

Our group of ten agree, everything about the experience was fantastic. 10/10 would recommend and look forward to returning.

Some of the best food I’ve had in my entire life. If you get the chance to go DO IT! Everything about this place is amazing. The wait staff is very attentive and the food is off the charts. The restaurant has beautiful ambience and even better views. Can’t stress enough what an amazing experience we had. Hope you enjoy!

Lovely location with great views on the roof of the hotel. Service was impeccable and the food interesting and well prepared. We had the tasting menu and the Chef added a few surprises which we really enjoyed. Would highly recommend. The restaurant is newly opened. Go before it gets too popular.

Make sure you experience Suba! Everything about the evening was delightful! The chef is inventive and creative, the staff gracious, wine list terrific. The ambience is cozy and intimate and there is a gorgeous rooftop for dessert, coffee and drinks: overlooking the city . We can’t wait to go back. So flexible with the menus and willing to create own custom wine pairing! The evening couldn’t have been more perfect.
