This menu is limited to our second floor dining room. If you are in a pinch stop by our main floor where you will find salads, sandwiches, sliced pizza, pastries and gelato, and our own selection of freshly baked breads among the many foods on offer daily.
Went there for lunch and from the minute we entered the staff was very friendly, our server was amazing & super friendly (sorry don’t remember her name) . Food was excellent , wine was delicious (very good wine selection) dessert was so yummy!!
The food was good, nothing over the top delicious. I was expecting it to be better and plated a bit prettier for the cost.
Food was luke warm to cold. Cheese on pizza congealed. Left under heat lamp too long I guess.
Great authentic Italian food where you can taste the freshness. Portions are on the smaller side, given the price point.
Friendly and fast service. My second time back here, because the food is fresh and good!
While portion was big, order was more of a pizza sandwich than pizza - pasta prices were quite expensive
Beautiful restaurant and love the atmosphere. I would definitely like to go back and try other things on the menu.
great lunch spot, typically good Terroni style cooking.
The food is good, but I really don’t like how they completely deny the option to have butter with bread, a side of tomato sauce for a white pizza, or balsamic vinegar to add a ‘zing’ to your pizza if you so desire.
Not sure why the service staff were so underwhelming and unbelievably slow, but our drinks took 30 min+ and my friend had to literally get up from the table to hunt down a server to order food or refills. Very unattentive but polite staff.
Server was simply rude about not having various items.
I’ve been here several times and the food has always been great. This night was the exception.
Dinner was fantastic. Great atmosphere and the staff was great.
Yesterday was my first time at Sud Forno, everything was exceptional. The price was reasonable and the food was ready in a timely manner.
My only negative comment was that I had request for a certain food not to be included in my dish but as per the waiter, they couldn't accommodate it.
Only serve espresso coffee and strong
Poor selection white wines, yes, Italian whites are never ‘easy’...
it was a good spot for lunch, beautiful building great restoration. Food was good, fair size portion, service was a tad slow but not crazy.
Our server was attentive and very pleasant. She noticed that the wait time was a little long for our antipasto platter (we didn’t) and was quick to communicate when our main course would be served. We weren’t really in a rush, but we appreciated her sense of urgency during a busy lunch hour. Food was tasty and well seasoned. A lovely experience.
Awesome quiet the steak not good but they took it off the bill
Fantastic experience paired with great food and wine. 11/10 would attend again.
Great night out, thanks!
Food is fine (although the gnocchi special was a bit overpowered by the pesto-like sauce..). Service is great. An overall decent place for a mid-day business meal. The two-person tables tend to be crammed very close together, but I get the economics of it.
Nice ambiance and good food. The panna cotta was delicious! The service was excellent.
Great business lunch place. Portions are smaller compared to other comparable places. Need to increase by a bit.
Good food. Too loud to have a conversation without yelling.
We had a great waitress from South Africa and she was very nice and gave great service from start to finish. I took off stars because one of the people who cleared our plates gave MAJOR attitude.
‘Twas lovely. Pizza is amazing
Lunch with out of town family.
This was my 2nd visit but the first at Da Geppetto. The ambience, the food and the service is purely authentic. We ordered Focaccina and Parmigiana di Melanzane for antipasta and were amazed. The Focaccina is indescribable. Cracking crusty outer layer and the soft bread interior which vanishes in your mouth topped by buffalo mozzarella and one of the best prosciutto that I have ever tasted. Garganelli Geppetto was served perfectly cooked and just the right amount of toppings to allow the pasta to shine through. The special that night was an oversized tortellini filled with Burratta cheese that filled your mouth with pure joy. The wine menu is priced at what it offered, excellent well collared wines from Italy, not cheap but well worth it Connolo, espresso with grappa and I was in heaven. Our server made us feel like we were back in Italy, easy going, no rush, enjoy your meal and sit for a while to talk and allow your meal to be fully appreciated. I will be back for many more meals, this was a night to remember.
Everything was great except the fact that the place gets too noisy during lunch break.
Nice atmosphere. Pricing reflects the area it’s in (financial District) server was super friendly and engaging but was definitely pulled across too many tables. Food was tasty but portions were surprisingly small for what you pay.
Unless you get a booth, the tables are right on top of each other, and the wooden, no back bar stools have a ridge around the seat, designed for short stays. We moved on. Upstairs was closed which would probably have been a better experience.
Great service but food was a little pricey given the portion size for lunch.
Excellent place for a light dinner (pizza, pasta). Service was very pleasant- would highly recommend!
Two pasta meals with somewhat stringy/tough/fatty short ribs in centre and one large San Pelligrino for $37. Each!! I know I’m downtown but that wasn’t great value. I shoulda ordered pizza or something else .... great service and ambience however.
Food was great. Service was a little slow although we understand that it was lunch and it was busy.
Great variety of food and past was amazing! Wine was excellent and a great way to spend a few hours with friends!
Apparently, they do not open the upstairs Monday and Tuesday nights. We were expecting a more formal sit down dinner, and instead we ended up eating dinner in the coffee shop on the main floor. The food good and the creme filled donuts were even better, but the service was a bit slow and scattered.
It used to be good m
Love the place, food usually good or better, however, the noise level is unacceptable. Can barely have a conversation with the person sitting across. We were two so on top of the overall resto noise the patrons next to us contributed to even more noise. It might help to space the small tables further apart.
Food and service is always wonderful. Specials are always excellent
This restaurant is beautiful ... food was good -
Caprese salad was not fresh on this evening served in a little bowl for $18 wasn’t what we normally expect. It was disappointing. Your better off ordering the fresh mozzarella on its own.
Also the upstairs is way too warm. If you’re sensitive to that ask for a table downstairs.
Wine list is outstanding!
