We arrived at 6.45 as that was the time of our reservation and sadly we didn't receive our meal until almost 7.45 so an hour for our main to arrive. There were not enough staff and alot of tables to serve. They should have warned us on arrival that it would be an hour wait so we could have made a choice whether to continue or go somewhere else as we had kids and a baby with us who are less patient. Hopefully they stay closed next time if they don't have enough staff. The staff did the best they could and we felt sorry for them as they did look very stressed.

Good morning Iris firstly i would like to apologise for falling far bellow our normal standards and express how regretful i am over this failing, we pride ourselves on giving and amazing experience to match the food our chefs produce and on this occasion we did not match that. with this being the first full Sunday we have opened we did not realise just how popular our Sunday dinner service would be and we got caught short we were indeed a couple of members of staff short for how busy we were and going forward we have rotated on more staff to account for this. i hope we have the chance to serve you again and show you the service we can provide. my apologies Bill

Our expectations were not met. A disappointing evening. On the positive side, the location is splendid and the tables laid out well to make the most of the spectacular view. However, the food left much to be desired. Our starters were hit and miss. The seafood chowder was OK. The Harissa Baked Cauliflower was on the small side and lacked taste. The biggest disappointment was the Sirloin Steak. Ordered “medium rare” it arrived absolutely cremated. I should have sent it back, but hate wastage as I knew it would have been instantly thrown in the bin. It was terrible. Our waiter should have spotted this as he took the order and delivered the meal. The “wedge salad” was not a wedge salad, it was a selection of iceberg lettuce leaves that had not been drained properly, the water from which soon ruined the rather nice sauce and parmesan shavings that sank into it. However, my wife’s Roast Vegetable Tian was good and was the best dish of the evening. The shared pavlova for dessert was just ordinary. It felt like everything was rushed. We were in and out in 75 minutes. Definitely not a restaurant we would recommend.

Food was excellent - the flavour, presentation and portion size. It was also great value for money (the 2 course for £20 lunch). Service was excellent, our waitress was very attentive. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere, is very clean and the views of the beach and sea are stunning!

I had the ox cheeks and scallops which were amazing. My partner had a steak but said he found it to be a bit tuff and over cooked. He did think there was a long gap between our starter and main and thought he should alert staff as he thought we had been forgotten about but they brought out food before he needed to do this. I didn’t think his starter was great to be honest but he enjoyed it. The children’s menu choices were a bit sparse but the chicken my son preferred was very good.

The food was excellent, it was a great shame that the waiter had no clue about what was on the menu. We had to tell him to go and ask the chef!
