We have been to Sunday House many times. We read that they had a new chef and decided to give it one more try. We had a lovely table outside under a gazebo with a fan to ourselves. No problem with the ambiance. Our waiter was terrific. The drinks we ordered were nothing special. The food, was mediocre at best. We shared a Caesar beet salad. (Much prefer my Caesar salad with romaine). If you like arugula this is the place to try. My husband had the swordfish. I had the roasted chicken. Mine was served with a copious amount of greens with soggy croutons, tomatoes and other things I could not identify. The chicken was nothing to brag about. Even though they had creme brûlée on the dessert menu, my favorite, we bypassed dessert. We won’t be going back any time soon.
Great birthday brunch. Approachable, rather traditional menu, but beautifully prepared. Overall, outstanding food, bar and service.
Great tropical getaway in the center of Delray. Personal service and the food was to die for!
Ambiance and food were fantastic. Service was not. Staff was very courteous and friendly just didn’t seem to have a system down
Outstanding Sunday brunch
Came here with a friend for brunch. We were very pleased with the covid safety precautions and social distancing- the gazebos outside are perfect for social distancing and are so adorable! The garden outside is lush and feels like you aren’t in a populated area. The servers were attentive and wore masks and gloves, and the food was excellent. Would definitely return for brunch or dinner outside again!
Good food, slow service
Beautiful setting. We had our own gazebo for two. The food and service were excellent.
Great new chef amazing food and great Ambience
It was CLOSED
Amazing place, we had a lovely dinner for a family member Bday. Host was nice, showed us to our table, waitress made some great recommendations. Food was A+++. Will go back again.
I love this restaurant. It's one of my favorite restaurants of all time. The Sunday Brunch is just outstanding. The grounds are beautiful. The staff is friendly and kind. I walk through the restaurant at times and look at each table where I have celebrated a special event or ate a delicious meal with beloved family and know that this place has never disappointed me. It's outstanding in every way.
Always a fantastic brunch at Sundy House ! Highly recomend.
Great for celebrations! Wide assortment of food and drink. If you can afford it—it's not to be missed.
Concise and flavorful menu. Personable professional service. Although outside dining is available do not dismiss the relaxed elegance of old Florida charm inside. Overall an outstanding dining experience. Food with flavor coupled with caring service. A rare event in South Florida.
Amazing time . Atmosphere is so relaxing and enjoyable...
Friends told us this is a “must do” when we visited. They were right. Gardens and ponds were delightful and the food did not disappoint.
We sat in the outside garden which was beautiful and when we were there for an early dinner reservation on a Sunday it was not crowded. Our server was very pleasant and attentive- food was very good too - overall experience was very good and would highly recommend dining here!!
Scallop undercooked. Grouper very overcooked. Risotto was not risotto—it was just rice. Spinach salad was outstanding. Wine prices were good. Entree prices too high for the quality.
Sunday Brunch is always wonderful. Love the curry pasta. The service is great!
L’endroit est féerique, la nourriture goûteuse et à point. Notre serveuse agréable. Que des notes positives
We went for the Saturday brunch, which is a great deal - not too costly but delicious food and a lovely, peaceful setting. We prefer to sit outside in the beautiful garden area. You would never believe you were sitting in the middle of Delray - it's so quiet and peaceful.
The most beautiful and historic dining venue in Delray Beach with excellent food and service complementing the wonderful setting.
Lovely setting, great service, good food - wonderful place
Excellent meal. In beautiful surroundings. Anka was a very capable and friendly server. Will go back again and again.
Crab cake starter was completely tasteless. I didn’t even order an entree because it was so bad. I had a Caesar Salad that also was fairly tasteless. This place must be just living on an old reputation or really just for weddings. They were out of the octopus starter in an almost empty restaurant.
The only bright spot was the staff- Richard was wonderful.
We were inside- restaurant smelled damp and stale.
Wonderful setting and food.
Great place for any special occasion. I've been for anniversary, birthday, and bridal. Every time perfect ambiance, delicious food, and friendly staff.
Excellent service and the food was phenomenal. Love the buffet and the endless mimosas. This is our 3 time in the past 6 months and we are always pleased with everything.
Sunday Brunch is amazing!! The establishment itself is very cozy and comfortable with its beautiful garden areas.
Our experience each time has been amazing. Garden seating was perfect. The food was delicious. We have zero complaints and look forward to going back.
This is a billed as a landmark "special occasion" restaurant. The garden is beautiful but if you eat inside as we did -- can you believe they don't have heat lamps??? -- it's nothing special. Food is ok, but nowhere near as good or innovative as the prices would indicate.
Also, they are VERY difficult to reach on the phone. I would have rescheduled for a warmer night but couldn't get them to answer. FInally, I had told them it was my friend's birthday and expected at least a cookie with our coffee but nothing. The service was good but you should also know they do a major wedding business. This Saturday night, we could hear them loud and clear and it wasn't pleasant ....
The service was terrible. Waitress had an attitude and when we asked after 30 minutes where was our food she said 5 minutes. After an hour I went to the manager. She said the had large tables. Then they should get more help or not take reservations. The poached eggs were too well done and not once did the waitress come and ask how the lunch was They did credit our coffee. Would not recommend. The are only interested I in wedding parties
First visit in two years. Saturday brunch was great for all four in our party, especially the huevos rancheros. Beautiful day to enjoy the magnificent garden setting.
Fabulous brunch a must!!!
