Would not call this a sushi place as it is mostly Tuna and Salmon. Its above Wholefoods in a shopping centre so zero vibe. Found a hair in my roll so didn't eat much more after that..

Food was delicious but service was a bit chaotic. Ambience rather lacking.

Took my husband for date night as we love sushi and we wanted to try something new , as its our first time in genji .

Wow were to start from the moment we walked in we were greeted by the manager and asked which table we like .

Given a table of our choice due to us being on a date , the staff recommended a bottle of there season wine which was perfect after a hot day .
With the very helpful radek and our amazing waitress melissa there service was amazing and when it came to the food .
It was the best sushi i have eaten since a very long time .
So fresh and full of flavour and so creative .
And the veggie roll was out if the world .

Great sushi place .
Highly recommended

Overall the food and staff are both lovely. Jerrol made sure we were comfortable and that our order didnt arrived late. The ambiance was pleasing. Mango tango was my fave its really taste so as the other meals there.

Food was delicious and great presented. We have ordered robata and sushi everything was fresh and very tasty. Service was outstanding great recommendation from the waiter ( lamb, ocean temptation and salmon supreme roll together with refreshing Japanese rice beer). Everything came on time despite restayrant was a bit busy. We will definitely come back! The best sushi in London.

They say us near to the kitchen although we really did not want to. Very close to the thrash bin! The sushi in the menu looked stale and tasted no better. Overall the place is no better than a Mc Donald’s. I picked the place from Tatler rest. guide. Shame on Tatler too..

This is meant to be a relatively high end sushi restaurant. The quality of the fish was acceptable but very average. We ordered mostly Nigiri, and the rice had not been properly compacted resulting in it disintegrating as soon as it was lifted with chopsticks. Raised this with the waitress and all she managed was an 'oh sorry'. Service generally left a lot to be desired, had to wave down staff who mostly remained joking behind the counter. It was difficult to get their attention. This despite the place being near empty. I have no problem paying top dollar for good sushi, but £108 for 2 with modest amounts of alcohol and poor service meant I left feeling disgruntled. Will never return again.

What a great place to eat. The food was fresh and so tasty. I especially enjoyed the Yellow Tail Sashimi which our lovely waiter recommended and I wasn't disappointed. We chose many dishes to try a little bit off all sections of the menu and found the portion sizes were generous and all very delicious. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We will certainly be returning. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Delicious food ... nice and friendly staff.
Would be useful to mention that they are "inside" the Barkers building in the directions!!

The sushi standard was not satisfying at all, if it wasnt the 50% for fridays, i will not have visited the place, but after the visit i felt like without the offer there's probably going to be nobody coming to the restaurant to dine. Atmosphere was rough, it was very noisy. The salad i order tasted flavourless due to lack of seasoning and sauce, black cod was okay but too sweet in miso, the tea i ordered was definitely not worth 3 pound in value. They do not brew their tea, throwing a tea bag in someone's mug and call that 3 pound where you can get the whole box for the its price is not acceptable at all. Salmon and avocado roll was at a fair standard but again nothing special. Rice was a bit too much and the freshness of the avocado are highly doubtful because the avocado was blackened when it was delivered to my table which makes it aesthetically unattractive.

Strange location - basically in a shopping centre. Odd vibe but ok food. Good if you're shopping locally but not a destination

Atmosphere is good, clean and simple.
Very good selection and variety to cater for the spectrum of special dietary requirement.

Sadly, the services really let this place down. We ordered 4 dishes, 2 came and 2 just got completely forgotten. We had to call them to check on the miso soup and another small dish. Really not sure what is up with this place. It was rather disappointing on that front.

The restaurant has been renewed & redecorated and the menu is completely new, however, we were a bit disappointed by the service (the team seems to be new but improvement can be made) and the food. Given the price of the new food menu we would have expected a better quality of service, especially on dinner time (was too speedy) and all the same for the food. We had a large selection of appetizers (small plates), makis and a bento and were not impressed by what we were served. The quality of the raw fish is good but trying to be too original and not delivering on taste and texture is not a good idea. The Triple Heaven makis are one example. Clearly overpriced. We benefited from a 50% promotion on that day and still found it too expensive for the experience.
