Love it every time. A real Japanese food made by real Japanese chefs, not just sushi.
Atariya is a lovely place to come and eat. Everytime I have been the restaurant has always been packed with diners, which is a very good sign. I have yet to be disappointed, the food and staff are fantastic.
Best Japanese food so far I have never had in this country for 8 years in terms of Value and quality.
Fabulous sushi made fresh in front of your eyes. Very fresh fish you can really taste the difference. Good service but you only get an hour for your booking at lunchtime. To be honest we didn’t really need much more than that but I guess they are busy ! Will definitely be visiting again.
Its a great restaurant just outside Ealing Common station. Doesn't look outstanding from the outside, but has a lot to offer inside.
Good& fast service as well as great food for. Would highly recommend if you like Japanese food. Good value for money.
Was ok, authentic, proper Japanese food. Saturdays are always extremely busy and recommend to book a table.
Great Japanese food at a very an affordable price, authentic Japanese dining experience that matches my dining experiences in Japan.
This is the Japanese restaurant where they also are the main supplier in distribute fresh fish to other Japanese restaurants I.e. you can't get fresher fish than they do.. Here at there ealing common branch they offer no nonsense non pretentious genuine good value fresh genuine Japanese nigri at very reasonable price!! Love it been several times.. will come again
Went for lunch, which provides some excellent value for money lunch deals. Food was fresh, tasty. Staff are Japanese so you know you’re getting the ‘real deal’. Quality comparable to sushi I’ve had before in japan. Tempura was lovely, perfectly light and delicious.
Would 100% recommend, portions are excellent and three people were very well fed (taking some home even!) for around £25 each. Recommend booking as it was busy even during lunch.
Very good good but it was Sunday night and we were the only 4 people at the whole restaurant which made us feel a bit weird! Overall very good food, service and value!
My husband and I were really impressed with the sushi here and felt like very comfortable and taken care of. The food came out quickly and the service was great. We really felt at home. Also thank you to the staff who helped me locate a missing ring that ended up being in the toilets 😩 will be coming back again.
Going there for years on special occasions...
VERY nice staff, and the food delicious!
Only the interior, BUT for the wonderful bar, is rather depressing nowadays...it was much
better, more cosy, some years ago before it changed hands.
Hope they ll do something about it now during the refurbishment.
Love the place.
This was my 4th time visiting. I had deep fried oysters and my husband had deep fried pork. (Yes I know Atariya is the specialist of sushi but we had a traditional home style Japanese dish) To be honest, the dishes weren't so good as last time we had. But still very tasty. Will keep visiting.
Really good food and Service!! First time there and will be back again
Food was absolutely excellent! Ate every bite and even went for dessert. The only issue was service, very slow and poor. Had to wait 45 min just to get starters. But all in all, I would recommend and would definitely go again.
I had heard good things about Atariya which is why I wanted to try it out. We went for lunch and the menu was nice and varied. The food was fresh and delicious and the portions were a good size. It worked out reasonable for lunch. The place lacks ambience but for a lunch or something informal works well. However, the food is wonderful as is the service so don't let the decor put you off.
Authentic Japanese food, the lunch sets are very good value. It was packed with Japanese expat
We went for an early dinner on a Friday night. The restaurant is opposite Ealing Common station so was very easy to find. The restaurant was quiet. There is a good choice of dishes on the menu. The food was freshly cooked and tasty. The service was good.
The Japanese food is incredible here! This is my second booking at this restuarant and it did not disappoint. I was still talking about the Yellow Tail daily special the next day - which was mouth watering. Tried Dasai sake for the first time after a recommendation from the waitress. Great choice. Would highly recommend this neighbourhood gem for high quality sashimi/nigiri. I will be back!
Went for son's birthday celebration.
Ordered sushi and sashimi but a bit pricey.
All dishes on the menu were super delicious. The staff was very friendly! Great service in overall! I'll definitely go back every 2 weeks there!
The service, food and venue was really good. The placed seemed authentic and my friend and I felt relaxed as we had a variety of sushi dishes. Would I come here again? The answer is yes, especially if you would like to have an authentic sushi experience in Ealing.
Atariya is a Japanese shop who sells Japanese food as well as fish. So supposedly they are providing a real, authentic Japanese food here - yes, indeed it was a very nice meal that I had. Fish is all fresh and other dish appeared to be freshly cooked especially if fish is involved. The only thing I noticed is, although they are a Japanese restaurant and staff are all Japanese, they are little bit less attentive. I have a couple of times that I had to wait to get their attention to order more and get a bill when they were not busy, just doing their own stuff. I wasn't asked if the dish is ok. Shame if they can improve to pay more attention to customer (to see if anyone wants to order more, or want to get a bill) and make no wait for them, this place would be 5 starts from my point of view.
Sushi and sashimi were good and famous for. Good quality however overpriced for its location. There are better price same quality in west London.
Will go again if I was nearby but unlikely to go specifically for the food.
The quality of sushi here is reasonably good, better than most places I've tried in London. It's not expert level, but then how many sushi places around here are. I would recommend to come for lunch as you will pretty much get the same sushi/sashimi set for 2/3 of the price. There are also other nice lunch sets at reasonable prices as they have diversified into other Japanese dishes like tempura and gyudon. That makes them more compatible with customers of different kind, although it's not necessarily a good thing for sushi-focused customers. Can't have it both ways, can you?
This is certainly a good place to start your authentic Japanese food revolution or to reminisce over fond memories of the past. It's certainly a much better alternative to chains like Wagamama, Yo sushi, Wasabi, Feng sushi etc.
Very fresh sashimi and sushi, the rice was a little dry but otherwise a good meal for all three of us and the mochi is fantastic! The service was a little lacking as they got our order wrong twice, but that's ok in the grand scheme of things.
Excellent food, which arrived quickly, but after that things were "fair" at best. The waitresses were not very observant and so service during the meal was slow (such as tea refills, requests for extra food, clearing empty plates). We began our meal at 8pm and we did not realise that the restaurant would close at 9:30pm so we were rather rushed over dessert, with tables being cleared around us. It was a bit awkward! The staff are lovely, though, but just need to be a bit more aware of diners' needs during the meal and they should also make it clear that they close at 9:30pm , even on a Saturday.
Incredibly fresh fish, delicious fried tofu, charming service. Look forward to returning.
Great sushi, great service, nice to come for a mid-week dinner out
Great food! Have been coming here for years. Highly recommended
Lovely staff. Good variety of food. High quality produce seaweed, fish, miso, green tea. Good beer.
Take-away or eat in very good.
Keep up the good work - lovely quiet neighbourhood restaurant.
Our family have been going to this restaurant for several years now.
The reasons we keep going back to this place are lovely authentic food, good value for money, simple decor and very friendly staff. They don't sell you gimmics, just good food.
As the restaurant is just in front of you when you come out from Ealing Common tube station,
it's so convenient to reach by public transport and also you can normally find a parking space somewhere in the side roads. I hope you go and enjoy the experience as we do.
Really fresh traditional sushi restaurant, excellent value for money. Tempura was super light and crispy. Chirashi was fresh and had a nice selection of fish. Rolls were of good size. Had the moci ice-cream for dessert - 3 tiny scoops of ice-cream covered with chewy rice paste, really enjoyed the mango and the green tea. Service was good and effective. The staff made us feel welcome. The restaurant is pretty simple in terms of decor but it is clean.
Will definitely come back to try new rolls and other moci flavours!
Amazing sushi bar. Been to Japan a few months ago and this place is loke the real thing! The majority of staff are Japanese but speak English perfectly and they're all really kind. They gave us a pudding on the house, which was delicious!
My friend and I were very pleased with the quality of the food. We had a sushi set and a sashimi/tempura set for lunch, as well as dessert. Everything was delicious. It was not expensive either compared to other Japanese restaurants. I had been looking for real (and affordable) sushi, as I have lived in Japan, and I was totally satisfied with this meal. I will definitely go back.
The quality of the sushi is hard to beat anywhere in London.
Atariya in Ealing was great value and the quality was on par with many of the places we've been to in Japan. The sashimi was fresh, fried tofu steak was surprisingly exceptional and the portions were generous. The decor was basic but the food definitely speaks volumes. It will definitely be our go-to for Japanese!
