美味しいとは思うが、特に感動するようなものもなく、接客も可もなく不可もなく。地元民でない限りリピートはしないかな。

初めて利用させて頂きました。
席に着くと苦手な物などは聞かれなかったため、自分から食べられないものを言いました。
席に着くとお造り、ホタルイカの酢味噌和え、空豆のおつまみが一斉に出てきて、とりあえずそれを食べました。
その後、山芋のウニ和え、ノドグロの焼き物がひっきりなしに出てきました。
その後、握り寿司が出てきましたが、客の食べるペースに合わせることなく、どんどん出てきました。
そして何か追加の握りや巻物の有無を聞かれることはなく、頼んでいないのに勝手にお味噌汁が出てきました。
なのでお味噌汁が出てきた後に鉄火巻きの追加をお願いしました。
お寿司屋さんの基本として初めての客が来店した場合には、必ず苦手な物を聞くべきだと思います。
また追加の握りや巻物を聞かずにお味噌汁を出されると、早く店を出て行けと言われているようで非常に不愉快です。
小瓶の瓶ビールを1本、日本酒を2合飲んで、食事をしていた時間は1時間弱です。
これで会計は25000円でした。
25000円を出してお寿司を食べるのであれば、もっとゆっくり味わって食べたいです。
あと店内の電話の着信音が大きくてうるさいです。
もっと音を小さくして食事の妨げにならないようにしてもらいたいです。

産地にこだわった最高のネタを豊洲市場から仕入れ、赤酢を基本とするシャリと合わせた寿司は、何度訪れても旨いとしか表現できない程、変わらぬ味わいです。寿司の前に出されるツマミも良い素材を選び仕込みがされていて、酒のあてとしても満足できます。

おまかせコースをいただきました。旬のネタは最高で、どれもとても美味しかったです。総じて良かったのですが、2コースしかないのが少し物足りなかったです。お財布に優しい値付けが嬉しかったです。また伺います。

とても良かったです。
でも、細かいところ言わせて頂くと、
同じコースを頼まれた別の方とネタの部位(私たちはマグロの赤身だったのが、隣の方は大トロだったり)が明らかに違かったので悲しくなりました。
恐らく、飲食店によくある常連さん贔屓だと思いますが、

The chef is a little bit shy towards non Japanese people but the service was the best I‘ve ever experienced. Super friendly waiter who guided us through the menu and gave us recommendations on how to eat specific foods. Overall we‘ve had a great time with delicious food and friendly people.

初めて伺いました。

最初に出てきたお刺身盛り合わせから
どぎもを抜かれました!
え?お刺身って、こんなに美味しくなるものなの?って。
素材も素晴らしいのでしょうけど
大将の技術の凄さを体感しました。
大将の全体の動きが一切の無駄なく美しく
見とれてしまった・・・・

握りは、お米の1粒1粒の味が伝わってくるのです。
どうやって握るのか、全く想像もつかないシャリの美味しさ。
イカ、マグロ、こはだ、アナゴ、、、
どれも初めて食べるもの凄い美味しさでした。

大将が小さな声で訥々とお話なさる内容が面白くて
説得力が凄い!

帰り道、4人で「楽しかったね」「美味しかったね」と大盛り上がり。
素晴らしい一夜を過ごせました。

全く巷の寿司とは違うものです。またお値段も銀座の半分程度だとおもいます。

Chef Fukumoto took us through a wonderful and intimate journey through his omkase course. His staff were attentive and the overall experience was magical. I’ll definitely stop by next time I’m in Tokyo.

We had a great experience at Sushi Fukumoto. The space is simple and intimate. Service is friendly and helpful. The quality of the food is outstanding. We had a little trouble finding the restaurant, and one of the staff members found us on the street after I called. The meal started off a little formally, but soon relaxed into an intimate affair. Just watching Chef Fukumoto work was a treat, and the food was even better. The staff was friendly, helpful and conversant in English. This was our best meal in a two-week visit to Japan. Not cheap, but good value...

This was a very nice experience. If you want a first hand experience for a quality omakase but don't want to burn a hole in your wallet than sushi fukumoto is where you should go.

First sushi experience in Japan and well worth the cost and commute. This was the best sushi dining I’ve ever experienced; the 13-piece nigiri course opened up my eyes to the possibilities and subtleties of well executed sushi. Given that it’s one of a handful of places on OpenTable, it’s a no brainer if you’re looking for an authentic sushi experience when visiting Tokyo.

This restaurant is tucked away in the lower level of a small street about a 15 minute cab from Shinjuku. The restaurant only has around 10 seats, all in front of the chef who creates each piece of nigiri and places it in front of you. The experience was a little intimidating at first, as we speak no Japanese and were surrounded by locals peering at our attempt to align with all proper etiquette and customs of eating sushi in Japan. The waiter spoke decent English and explained the dishes as the meal progressed... It cost about $280 USD for 2 of us (including a bottle of sake). Though dress code is ‘business casual’ the vibe inside is very laid back.

My family had a wonderful time and unique experience at Sushi Fukumoto. We were in Tokyo for a few days and I made a booking a couple of months in advanced since I wanted to make sure I could get the date that I needed.
We were seated at the bar right in front of where the master was working. They have staff that explained what we were eating and most importantly, how to enjoy the sushi. We also had a 4 year old with us and they were very accommodating. We ordered the complete omakase and were able to share some of the dishes with our child.
We stayed in Shinjuku and the restaurant was just a train ride and short walk away. Nice neighborhood and easy to find.
If you are looking for a special experience with some out-of-this-world sushi, I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

This restaurant was a wonderful experience. The food, ambiance, and service were delightful. We have experienced several omakase sushi both in Japan and the United States. Sushi Fukumoto rates as one of our best experiences.

Best sushi I’ve ever had. The staff is also very friendly to English speakers (our hostess showed us a translation with pictures before every piece of nigiri that the chef prepared). Definitely lives up to its Michelin star reputation.

We were celebrating our engagement and this was definitely an experience we will never forget! Each piece of art that chef Fukumoto prepared for us was SO Delicious. It’s so hard to explain. Each piece of sushi was so well balanced. Between the fish, rice, and perfect seasoning. We had the Omakase meal and by the end I was so stuffed. It’s definitely expensive but worth the cost. The staff was so kind and explained in English what the chef was doing, what we were eating, and how to eat it. Absolutely recommend this place. A wonderful experience! Thank you Chef Fukumoto and Nozomi for a lovely dinner!

Very nice restaurant and experience. This was our first time in a high-end sushi restaurant and we can indeed say that the sushi was the best we have ever eaten. The ambiance was fairly intimate (the counter has around 10 seats), refined but friendly. We didn't speak Japanese, but the waitress spoke English and translated to us the names of the fish used in the various sushi pieces. Even chef Fukumoto tried to make some conversation with the waitress acting as an interpreter :) Being able to observe the chef working and the preparation of each piece was definitely an interesting experience.
The value for money was good (we took the sushi menu) compared to other Michelin-starred restaurants in Tokyo, but keep in mind that this is not the kind of restaurant where you get full on the cheap!

Un locale fantastico per il suo essere minimal e al tempo stesso carico di “sostanza”. Gentilissime e amabili le due ragazze che servono ai tavoli, prodighe di spiegazioni ed anche di qualche discreta battuta di spirito. Ma è quello che si prepara e chi lo prepara che fa la differenza: un maestro vero, dalle pochissime parole e dalla grande concentrazione, che mette amore in ogni singola portata. Inutile descrivere il percorso e le pietanze che lo compongono (ci sono due percorsi degustazione, uno base e uno completo): tutto ciò che viene servito è veramente speciale, un viaggio sensoriale complesso che solo in Giappone potevamo sperimentare. Superb food for a very very reasonable price. Chef Fukumoto and his team were very friendly and explained all the ingredients (and their origins) in our omakase despite us not being able to speak Japanese. The dishes were perfectly seasoned, including the non-sushi dishes. We had a wonderful time there and would definitely recommend this place to our friends who are heading to Tokyo.
