Really enjoyed it , lovely food & freindly staff! Can’t wait to go back
Absolutely loved Suvlaki, a surprise ho good it was. Authentic, tasty food, great service and atmosphere. Will definitely go back! :)
Always consistently amazing. Great food, service and ambience
The place was cold due to the over egged air conditioning. We were told it was tapas dining and the food would be brought out when it was ready, but the pauses between the dishes meant we never actually got to enjoy any dishes together that should have complemented each other. There was more focus on the two chefs completing delivery orders then the happiness of its diners. The food itself was tasty, but the portions were very small for the price we paid. Dining on Greek food for me has always been a joyful experience with generous portions, Suvlaki is trying to elevate the cuisine to fine dining but doesn’t have the man power of better tapas restaurants (Barafina, Sabor) to see it through. We left dissappointed.
Great service and food. The mini wraps were particularly tasty.
Amazing Greek tapas. All the food was amazing. Highly recommended!!
Really enjoyed the food and the staff. Great little find.
Lovely staff. Watch your head on the lights. Food was amazing!
Fantastic food and the service was great! Will definitely be back again! Only downside was that it was quite busy so the food took a while (we were out for a work lunch so it took a bit longer than we would have liked).
Cosy restaurant so get to know your neighbours!
This was our second time at Suvlaki and we were joined by four friends. From the welcome, the service, the food and even the bill, everything was so good. Small tasting plates of Greek inspired food, the ability to taste a bit of this and the other, along with a couple of good bottles of wine made for a truly enjoyable lunch.
Fabulous little place, in fact it’s a little gem. Although the seating is so close due to the venue being tiny the food is amazing. It’s authentic Greek home cooked food. Can’t wait to return to the place again.
A lovely little place with tasty food and a cosy atmosphere
Great service but could have more vegetarian options other than cheese!
Meal with friends after theatre. Excellent service with knowledgeable staff. Tapas style menu which was great for sharing. Very tasty Greek food. Would definitely recommend and would look forward to a return visit.
A GREEK TRAGEDY
Booked via opentable where it states ‘in order to allow us to effectively organise reservations and to avoid inconvenience and disappointments to other diners, we kindly ask that our diners expect to keep their tables for up to two hours’. We arrived on time and after some teeth mashing by the iPad addicted manager we were seated.
Upon receiving the menus, we were summarily informed that we needed to leave in 1.5 hours. The way in which it was delivered was quite possibly the most unwelcoming experience I’ve ever had in a Soho restaurant. I queried why this was the case given the stated policy online and also why it wasn’t mentioned when I was called earlier in the afternoon to confirm the booking.
‘Opentable is wrong and that’s out policy, we are a busy restaurant’.
It’s a shame as the food was excellent and I feel for the excellent chefs but the front of house team are quite frankly horrendous, surly and with an apparent rule book that diners must adhere too, eg: ‘no you can’t just have another portion of tzatziki it COMES with pita bread’ neglecting the fact we had the EU pitta mountain on our table.
All in all the rush to turn over tables cost them profit from more drinks, another bottle of wine and some coffees.
We won’t be back.
Charismatic and tasty food all rounded up with great service.
Very enjoyable and authentic experience with personal service and attention and good value for money
Simply Awesome! Service fantastic. The manager was amazing. Fantastic atmosphere. Loud & lively. Food great too! Loved it.
Cozy restaurant in a good part of soho. Decor fitted very well with the theme and staff were brilliant throughout the evening.
Food was excellent, served fresh and hot and all came out together which was great when eating as a group. Lovely flavours and small plate starters are ideal for sharing before the main meals.
Very well priced considering location and quality and with takeaway options available highly recommended.
When this place first opened the food was good yet has declined the food portions are very small for example one of our dishes was a chicken Keebab which was a main meal and served on a bed of cherry tomatos and Had 4 small pieces of chicken, the rest of the food was measly portions and poorly put together. I regularly go Greece and the food here is a complete let down to Greek cusine wouldn’t go again myself and my date felt let down . Shame as I used to like it here.
Small tiny restaurant but at same time cozy. The quality of the food was really nice and tasty.
The service was impeccable; staff very friendly and courteous.
We ordered 4 small plates to share and 2 wraps.
Price range is reasonable and not expensive comparing to London standard and the location (Soho). If you are looking for nice greek food and a restaurant just to chill and enjoy yourself or your other half I would definitely recommend it.
Had a great night last night at this place. My third time here and they never disappoint. Think i have eaten everything on the menu now and all is fresh and excellent. Love this place.
Only bad part is that it is a very small place- I would highly recommend a reservation and never more than 1-4 at a table
Friendly service. Quick, good Greek food. Conveinient before Soho Music. Regular customer!
Outstanding as always!
Family get together to celebrate an event
Excellent Authentic Greek Food and service. Its a small place with tight spacing but give A for effort to create a decent atmosphere, notably the clean bathroom with music and volume control! Moussaki and fried Feta were excellent.
suvlaki dishes are one skewer for 5 GBP which is high and doesn't feel good when paying
Great food, with a selection of smaller plates or larger options depending on whether you want to share or not.
Very tightly packed restaurant so not ideal if you want some private conversation, but the staff were lovely and good value for money!
This is one of my best Soho finds! The food was amazing and the staff delightful.
We needed a quick pre-theatre dinner that was good value for money and we got it! Every bite was a trip to Greece!
Authentic tastes and combinations bursting with flavour. I have already recommended it to many people.
Best bill treats ever!
I also noted on my booking that I was allergic to something, they phoned me the afternoon of our booking just to make sure they could serve me (not many restaurants do this so thank you)
The food at Suvlaki soho was very nice and everything we received was really tasty. We liked the ambiance and the servers were very friendly and helpful as well. I would say the prices are a bit high (we had 6 tapas to share, three beers in total and two shots of mastiha in total and paid £79). Overall a good place to have dinner if you don’t mind spending a bit.
Food was amazing, fair prices and really enjoyed it! However the space is very small and the tables are small too which was not to nice. But everything else was perfect
Authentic Greek restaurant in the heart of Soho. Small but cosy with lively atmosphere. Food quality and taste excellent. Loved Suvlaki signature dishes and mezze. If it's good enough for discerning Greeks, It's good enough for me!
Great venue and very good value. Reminds me of the kind of gyros you get in New York. Fresh ingredients, high protein and very tasty. Staff were lovely. Highly recommend it
Delicious food for very good price! The stuff was very helpful and nice.
Very small and very small portions.
Cosy and relaxed atmosphere and very friendly service. Great 'tapas' like Greek food.
Very cosy but the food is excellent and the staff are friendly.
Went there Monday 1st October and it was fab-u-lous enjoyed everything at the Slavaki - thank you guys
