Excellent place for a post-race lunch after the Shoreditch 10K. Great selection of food, love the mini souvlaki wraps
Suvlaki has quickly become our favourite place to eat on Brick Lane. Great small dishes packed with wonderful flavours and at good prices. Fantastic staff and a lively ambience. It is cosy but still has nice cool Shoreditch vibe. Go now before the secret gets out...
Excellent food very friendly service. Highly recommend it to everyone
I had been to Suvlaki in Soho and had a good experience with both food and service.
Unfortunately, I was really disappointed by my experience in Suvlaki shoreditch. We were given a table where we could’t fit in. Then another table in the way leading to the waiters banging against my chair when serving clients.
We waited our food for more than 30mn. Then got one plate and had to wait another 20mn to get the rest of our order. One of the plates was not what we had ordered.
In short, terrible service and really disappointing experience, which is the shame given the food is tasty and the sharing experience nice.
I won’t come back.
Fabulous atmosphere friendly staff and amazing food!
Great as the last time! Highly recommended. The greek tiramisù was the perfect end of our dinner.
Came here with a group of four for an impromptu dinner out. The food was delicious - we shared the majority of the dishes. My personal favourites were the baked feta (a must have) and the vegetarian moussaka - love aubergine! Fun and trendy atmosphere, but not too loud as the place is quite small.
Good meals but small portions it doesn’t seem like portions in Greece. I can’t find my favourite beer Mytos. No variation of ouzo.
Fantastic. The best service we have had at an east London restaurant in a long time. We lived the food and everything about our visit.
Lovely little restaurant. Nice decor and super friendly service. the menu is nice. With lots of interesting dishes. We don't have many greek restaurants to speak off in London. And this is a nice addition to the scene!
Like the local greek beer and wines. It's a nice touch!
I was missing some specials, totally expected some larger or seasonal dished to be presented with the normal menu.
Food was priced well. Drinks, not so much, I would suggest to re-balance the prices a little for the drinks.
Drawn here by OpenTable, found this an island of calm in the Shoreditch Sunda melee. Very good food and charming service. Good value too.
Great meal again in Suvlaki. The courgette fritters never fail to impress our guests and the mixed mushrooms were exceptional. Friendly attentive service and a buzzy atmosphere make this place a real highlight of Shoreditch at the moment. And don't miss the orange and almond cake!
I had a really good evening with a colleague, amazing food and friendly service, it is rather dark in the restaurant but that makes it very cosy and the decoration overall is elegant but not intimidating. Perfectly cooked food, amazing products! If you are about to visit try the orange and almond cake for dessert!
We had a wonderful time at the restaurant. Really good, authentic food, lovely wine according to those who had it, the Greek beers were good! Highly recommend it for big groups, however it can get busy so book in good time!
Booked a table for a special occasion through CODE app, were seated quickly and welcomed well. On our initiative asked to change the table to a lovely so called “naughty corner” (great idea), which was lovely, very comfortable sofa in a tiny elevated space, but felt so private and romantic. Service was ran by two guys - very good. Food - amazing - baked feta was out of the world and lamb chops were perfectly cooked and spicy. Overall place exceeded our expectations, as would not have chosen if not for the CODE app. Only one of the waiters was not aware of it and didn’t apply the discount even though was mentioned in the booking, however was sorted out quickly.
Great food and service. The Lamb Chops and Taramosalata is amazing! The Fix was surprisingly good. A little on the expensive side though.
If you like greek food, but wish it were spicier, this could become your favourite restaurant. I have been twice in the space of a few weeks, and not one dish has been a let down. Unusual combinations galore, and all work. Fantastic wine list and well priced. The only let down was the service on our most recent visit. They missed a couple of things off our order, it was difficult to get their attention (they were hardly understaffed, the restaurant was not busy), and they did not return any change when we settled the bill in cash (my pet hate) and grunted when we complained about this and appeared to purposely return the change in small denominations...
Absolutely gorgeous food, unbeatable as far as anything else I've found in London for Greek food. The service is wonderful, such friendly waiters who genuinely care about you having a good time and are happy to advise you without just wanting to up-sell to you. Been here twice now within a month for special occasions and will definitely be back again.
Great food with fantastic flavours and textures; reasonable prices; and a charming hostess (Irene, the owner, and a genuine Greek).
Really authentic Greek food on brick lane - very authentic ingredients and flavoursome Greek tapas, the wines and the ingredients are sourced from Greece - the Santorini tomatoes were yum! Reminded us of our Greek holiday where they were served in abundance as part of meals - so fresh and juicy! We tried the prawn saganaki, wild boar sausage skewers, baked feta (fantastic), Cretan salad with olive rusk (fantastic again), tzatziki, pita bread (could just have this by itself), the pulled pork small plate - everything was fantastic. Service was also very welcoming and with a smile! Was pretty quiet for a Sunday lunch - probably because of the very busy brick lane market on! Highly recommended - personally would rate it slightly above the hungry donkey for Greek food, also very good and in the neighbourhood.
I’ve been here twice and both times it was exceptional. The food is great (get the wild boar), and comes quickly! Lots of options and a good price. Authentic Greek.
Had a really delicious meal here recently with some friends. The food was very good, nice Greek food with a London twist. Worth noting though that the small plates are very small, we had a fair few between us and then had to order the big wraps afterwards. If you're on a budget then stick to the big wrap for approx £7 each and don't get the small plates because it soon adds up!
Very good food and service. Highly recommended.
Lovely food and service. Thank you!
A little gem on brick lane. The food is amazing and authentic, the best Greek I’ve had. The staff were so lovely and very accommodating- they even surprised my husband with a birthday dessert! Would def go back and highly recommend. Book in advance as gets booked up fast.
Love this place! Owners are great and the food is fantastic.
It was fantastic. Had a small group for a hen do and in the hot weather they let us sit on the terrace which felt like a private area. The food was great, felt non-greasy and non-stodgy, but hit the spot and packed a punch flavour wise. Great service, we’ve all said we’ll be back! Highly recommend.
Excellent Greek food, some of f the best in London no doubt.
Very good food, quick service, good wine.
Great for dates and small groups gathering
INCREDIBLE FOOD & SERVICE! My partner & I had an amazing evening at Suvlaki! The food was delicious (Greek small plates is a great shout) and we were made to feel very welcome. Nice setting & atmosphere too. Couldn’t rate the team or food more highly. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!
Perfect place for catch up with friends, food and wine are pretty good :)
Very good atmosphere - got gradually busier as the night went on which was good to see! Lots of food options ideal for sharing - will need to go back to try some more!
Very tasty high quality food. Friendly and informative service.
Great quiet restaurant, has a nice vibe. Service was great and the food tasty. It's a relatively small place so it was nice and quiet. Great place for a catch up with friends. Nice selecetion of Greek wines too!
Lovely place, prices far too high for their tiny platters: 5 pounds for 5 mini-shrimps covered in tomato sauce, 5 pounds for 4 pieces of bread 2cmx2cm with a bit of cheese, 5 pounds for 5 tiny pieces of bread with a 2cm cup of sauce.. :))) must be a good business !
Staff were very attentive and friendly. Food was tasty. Recommend getting lots of dishes and sharing them!
We were a group of 4, and it was all our first time. Staff were extremely welcoming upon arrival. We were initially put on a small table for 4 but we requested that if a bigger table become available that we be moved. 5 minutes later we were moved to a bigger and comfier table. We chose a selection of dishes to share and each one was sublime.
My particular favourite was the cheese nibbles and the prawns. We finished it all off with delicious deserts, the tiramisu and the chocolate dome. Price wise, the food is cheap considering the number of dishes we ordered and how amazing it all tasted. Staff were extremely friendly and attentive!
I love this place and been to the restaurant plenty of times, however today visit was a little disappointing as some of the signature dishes where tasteless!!
Our group of three thought the food was delicious, service was quick and attentive and the atmosphere was lively without being TOO loud.
Amazing place. Everything was perfect .... food is excellent
