What a lovely restaurant - we were given a window table looking out over the river which was lovely. Both food and service were exceptional. The atmosphere was a little quiet due to COVID restrictions but the staff worked hard to compensate for this. Definitely go again
Beautiful room with great view. Small but well balanced menu. Good portions. Friendly staff.
The food I ate was delicious, crab salad awesome & the venison cooked perfectly. However when 3 out 7 items on the main menu were not available for me to order because I was dining alone, I felt unwelcome.
Lovely place with great food, friendly and professional service, amazing views and clean toilets :)
Wonderful flavoursome food and lovely attentive staff. The best food I’ve tasted for a long time
We had a farewell dinner within housemates and were looking for a great view to say goodbye to London. View food wine service location are great and it’s pretty affordable! We were all happy! Really good choice!
A birthday meal celebration and rounded off a weekend away.
Food amazing and service excellent.
Would definitely return and recommend it.
Consistenly good. The menu is always interesting, the food is good and service is responsive and friendly.
Wonderful restaurant- wonderful food. It was a great treat.
Lovely meal before going to the Sam Wanamaker playhouse. Very attentive service, good food and a fantastic view of the river and St Paul's from our table by the window.
We visited the tea room in Swan for the afternoon tea as a birthday present and had a wonderful time! Great food with a stunning view in a beautiful location. When leaving we had a peak at the other dishes served and they looked equally good so we will definitely return for a different occasion.
The only thing I would suggest to the kitchen is to reduce the amount of scones to one per person as I saw a bunch going back to the kitchen and us too were not able to finish both of them.
Lovely food in a great setting!
Lovely views
Had a Sunday roast - nice quality beef and good size portion
Would have preferred gravy on the side but that’s my personal preference .
Lovely views
The Swan was as good as ever. Perfect for a pre/post theatre meal.
However I made reservation thru Open Table but venue had no knowledge of my booking. Fortunately I had proof of booking on mobile & printed download. Open Table now request my review whilst they caused me great embarrassment @ venue.
I’ve had no comment or apology from Open Table and no offer of compensation. WHY NOT?
I now await your review of my experience.
I’m a disillusioned client of OT.

Thank you for a wonderful experience! My family and I were there on vacation and this was our first experience of English afternoon tea. It was lovely, the food was tasty, and the cost was reasonable.
Afternoon Tea there was absolutely amazing! The sandwiches were delicious and I fell in love with their spiced chai tea.
Delicious lunch before heading to Borough Market. We enjoy the pub downstairs and thought the restaurant menu and dining room looked lovely last time we visited. The menu was great- all very tempting! Beautifully cooked and presented and the staff are very helpful and friendly.
delicious high tea, lovely staff, unpretentious and charming decor.
Nice place with view towards the river and the walk.
Very friendly staff, supertasty Afternoon Tea!
You might think the Swan would be the typical tourist trap attached to an attraction like Shakespeare's Globe. That would be a mistake. The food is very good, they have a nice selection of wines and beers and the views of the Thames are beautiful. Service is friendly and attentive without making you feel like you're being rushed to clear a table. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and it certainly is convenient to leave the Swan and walk right into the Globe. It makes for a great outing.
Nice brisk friendly pre theatre service. Would definitely use again
Superb all round apart from some guy in kitchen seemingly throwing down every piece of cutlery he dried in to the cutlery bin! It would have been quite then and not moderate noise, Will go back for afternoon tea next time.
Excellent as always!
It was the first occasion I had brought a particular friend with me to The Globe and to have an excellent lunch with you to proceed our experience of the theatre was fantastic!
Xx
Food was good, but let down by poor customer service. Forgotten drinks, coffee arriving at table just as we are ready to leave, unable to get attention of staff to ask for the bill, it was quiet as well, so no excuses.
Great atmosphere and service. We really enjoyed our Afternoon Tea!
Very nice start to our afternoon which followed with seeing the production of Midsummer Nights Dream
Fabulous views over the Thames and towards St. Paul’s. Set price meal was £28 for three courses which for London is pretty good and the quality was really good. Service was quick and attentive; all in all a must do if you’re looking for a meal ahead of a show at the Globe.
Very reasonable price on the pre- theatre menu. Nice attentive staff and good pace to the service. Only criticism was that we ate on a warm day and alas there is no air conditioning in the restaurant. Windows all fully open but uncomfortable with temperature whilst eating.
Table was ready as booked Great view of St Paul’s . Service was friendly and efficient. Set menu which was good for Sunday dinner
beautiful restaurant, great service but the food is a bit expensive for what it is. The desserts are not great. Next time I will go pre-theatre instead of post - it was empty!
Not much choice for vegetarians. Only thing on offer was a vegetarian wellington. It was nice enough, but served dry with no gravy and tiny portions of cabbage, carrot and roast potato. We asked for some gravy and after a long wait we were brought a tiny thimble full(for 2 people). We asked for more and then had another long wait before it came. One of our party had the roast beef which was a huge portion with a lovely Yorkshire pudding. Hardly seems fair to charge the same price, the veggie option must have cost a fraction of the price to produce. The pudding was sour and fruit under ripe, it was mango and passion fruit Eton mess, the chef can’t have tasted it before sending it out.
However the restaurant has a nice atmosphere and views to die for. If you’re not vegetarian, then maybe worth going.
For my parents anniversary. Exceptional food as always! Lovely service and a great table with the best view in London. Thank you Swan!
This is my second visit to the Swan, location and food were once again incredible.
There is a great theatre menu avaliable, but I went for a la carte. The food is reasonably priced for a nice night out and recommend you make it an occasion. The upstairs were restuarant is has a lovely view and has a nice ambience.
The food was good but the pre theatre menu was very limited, my friend had to have 2 starters as she didn’t like any of the main courses, if fact I struggled to find a main course I liked.
No a a la carte available at the time we were there.
Perfect timing from the staff ensured we finished in time for the show. The food, service and view were just fabulous, many thanks for helping to make our day very special!
Small quantity of poor cuts of chicken (wings etc)
We had a window seat, so could enjoy the vista.
We were a little early, but seated quickly, the menu was good, and food hot.
An enjoyable pre theatre supper.
Fabulous location for a performance at The Globe. Kitchen and front of house well-versed in managing the restaurant so everyone can enjoy their food and still make the performance. Theatre menu has enough choice for everyone.
The food was expensive for what it was, total bill for 3 courses for 2 of us including wine was £150
My wife had the crab starter which was tasty, I had the salmon which was only ok, a bit unbalanced
For mains we had Lamb and pork and again, both were only ok
We did share a desert which was the special a chocolate tart which was pretty good. I do understand that with the theatre there is a limitation and offering cold starters means that time can be saved, but while the views are excellent and I couldn't in all honesty fault the staff, I just felt the food was pretty average.
Their cocktails were excellent though
The Sunday Roast at The Swan was exceptional. Perfect setting overlooking the Thames River and right next to Shakespear's Globe Theater. Highly recommended for all dining, but especially good on Sunday and before the Theater.
