Very nice cream tea, great location, not bad value for such a lovely venue
We had to wait 10 minutes for our table which wasn’t a problem, once we were seated we were given menus for the Bottomless Brunch. Service was slow and once our food had come out one of the girls meals had actually been forgotten about. We told the staff who quickly got it sorted, however items were missing and come out when we were nearly finished eating. We waited a while for each bottle of Prosecco to come out so I didn’t feel that it was very bottomless. The table was 2 hours long but we were told with 15 mins left to go that we had over ran by 15 minutes and needed to leave.
Hopefully it was just an off day because the food was lovely however service just seemed slow and I think it was too busy in there for the staff to handle.
Visited at the weekend for a 40th birthday celebration, which I put on the booking. We were seated, then asked to move to another table, which was fine but then we had to ask for it to be cleaned. We had steak sandwiches, all of which were cooked blue which it didn’t state on the menu and no-one asked how we wanted it cooked. One of our party is pregnant so she had to send hers back, by the time it came back everyone else had finished. No-one came to check if our food was ok at any point after or before. We had to get up from the table to ask someone for the bill, and when it was brought over the server just stood there waiting for us to pay. Instead of asking if we’d like to split it, she put the whole amount on one person’s card. The service and food was really poor, got the feeling they didn’t have enough staff to look after the amount of customers they had. Very poor, won’t be returning any time soon.
What a pretty place. Food was so delicious and Our server Ropa was very kind and attentive.
So beautiful and we were made to feel very welcome
Gorgeous place, food was delicious. Couldn't finish it all but desperately wanted to
Staff were all really friendly and helpful
The ambiance was lovely and the food was nice. I had the afternoon tea. I felt it took longer than expected for our food to arrive and our tea arrived before the sandwiches etc. so was cold by the time our food got there. The staff were somewhat friendly. It was perhaps somewhat overpriced for what we had also.
Just lovely. Fresh sandwiches and cakes, we went at a weekend and you definitely need to book.
I brought my mum and nan here for my nans birthday and as soon as we came in we were welcomed, the service was great and the downstairs was beautiful, I got loads of lovely pictures with them which is what we wanted and the food was lush
I had really high hopes for SLT but I left disappointed. Despite booking far in advance, we were given a rubbish table by the entrance (not downstairs in the nice area) with both front doors open - it was freezing! My friend’s empty plate was taken away whilst I was still eating, and the same with our coffee afterwards. I practically ate alone. The food and coffee was good, and we were given a mini cake with a candle for her birthday, which I really appreciated! But I was then charged £4 service charge on the receipt, which I would have preferred not to pay and not have the cake at all. I really wanted to love this place but sadly won’t recommend it to anyone!
A really nice setting for afternoon tea. But with service change £90 for 4 for tea, cakes and sandwiches just seems very steep. Most cakes were uneaten too as seemed undercooked. But the place itself is beautiful and the staff are Friendly.
My friend & I had a proseco afternoon tea. The afternoon tea was one of the best I’ve had, the cakes were outstanding & the sandwiches were good as well. Very nicely decorated inside & out. The staff were very attentive.
I visit very often with my 6 year old daughter as this is her favourite place. When booking I requested a seat downstairs which is where we always sit. On arrival we were sat upstairs which upset my daughter a little bit as she is so set on her routine. We were both a little dissapointed. However the lady working was very helpful and did everything she could to look after us and make our visit lovely still.
When paying I asked to used a £40 voucher but was told that the covid extension ended a month ago.
We will be visiting again.
The venue was beautiful really made the expwrice really lovely xx
We had a lovely time ; The breakfast was delicious - we had poached eggs with salmon. However, I found this particular dessert to be extremely sweet which was the gluten free raspberry cake.
Good afternoon tea. Sat by door so a little cold from time to time.
We had the gin afternoon tea, although they brought a pot of tea out with our alcoholic drinks
The plates etc were dirty
The cakes were stodgy
Just about OK- quite loud unattractive music, limited menu, food came quickly and look good. Buttermilk pancakes were an unusual texture however and came with a hair!! Unlikely to return unfortunately.
A treat for my two girls.... the best thing were the very happy wonderful girls running it!!... so helpful, kind and attentive couldn’t have asked for more.
They really made the afternoon tea a wonderful treat.... so thank you x
The service and staff were extremely good during our visit, however I was disappointed with the food in as much that I thought that it was very expensive for the amount if food we got, rather than the quality of the food.
Great service and ambience. The waiters were extremely friendly and attentive. Made sure our prosecco glasses were constantly full! Made sure all our needs were met and we got our special requests. The environment was lush too! Has an amazing time.
Amazing , arranged as a present and they were so happy thank you
I cannot recommend this place enough. Both the food and service were amazing. If we are ever back in Bath I will definitely be visiting again.
Absolutely beautiful place for an afternoon tea and some lunch. Although we didn’t have actual food it looked and smelt amazing. Placed in the centre of bath so it’s easy to find. Myself mum and sister had a gin afternoon and thoroughly enjoyed it!! Disappointed we had to ask twice for the tea pots and for our plates to be taken away which is a shame but this still didn’t take away from the experience and staff were happy to assist straight away. Would highly recommend this place to anybody. Could do with some more outside space or bigger shop as it was so so popular (which isn’t a bad thing) also had little cakes for sale inside the shop. Will definitely be coming back.
Food was gorgeous, cafe/restaurant was well decorated very pretty and quaint.
Only gripe was we were not asked if we wanted anything else… we kept looking at staff members to get there attention for another drink but no one came over.
They were busy so we understand.
Overall a lovely place and would return
Wonderful place so glad we found it one of the highlights of our holiday the food was delicious and the staff were lovely
Adorable restaurant, there was a very pleasant atmosphere the whole time we were there. The afternoon tea was lovely and the staff were helpful and kind. Would definitely go again!
Such a cute little place will definitely revisit, staff and atmosphere was perfect.
Lovely decor and great food. Would definitely recommend and go back again!
Well I can definitely say the decor is absolutely beautiful and lives up to the hype ! But unfortunately the service really lets the cafe down, we were seated and then forgotten about for half an hour with not even a drink to sip on ! Small things such as a lack of hygiene when placing cutlery on the table ie. holding the end of the knife after just seeing the same waitress eating her lunch and not washing her hands. Once we had managed to flag down a different member of staff as our original waitress never reappeared she was apologetic and managed to get us served quickly.
Absolute fantastic location! All the staff were absolutely amazing and nothing was a problem. Would highly recommend
Very busy and tables close together which mad it very noisey. Staff were not very attentive so we had to keep trying to get their attention.
Another fab visit for afternoon tea, can’t fault anything
Lovely friendly cafe with a great menu. Must book in advance - definitely worth it.
My daughter had an extra day off school so I thought I would treat her to her first afternoon tea. I booked a table which we were showing to on arrival. I requested the afternoon tea with a few alternatives to my daughter sandwiches. The afternoon tea arrived but we did not have any plates, napkins or cutlery which I had to request, also my daughter's first plate was unfortunately dirty, so I had to request another. I guess for £20 a head I was expecting a better service. We had a few cakes left at the end and again it was down to me to request a box to be able to take things home, nothing was offered. It's very pretty inside and great for photos, shame about the service.
Hello Marie, I'm sorry service wasn't top notch on this occasion. I do hope you try us again sometime so we can show you what we can offer. Best Wishes 🌸❤️
The setting and food were brilliant. A little bit cramped in but didn’t ruin it. Had afternoon tea which was perfect amount and good value. Would go again.
Thank you for your review Lynda, unfortunately we aren't very big but I'm so glad you enjoyed your visit. We hope to see you soon!
The staff were amazing! Super friendly and made our visit really special. They went above and beyond.
The decor is stunning as well and the food was perfect!
