Fantastic food, great service, and social distancing. We have never had a bad meal at Sweet Lulu’s
We had the salmon..it was delicious..the new cheese board was very nice too!
Outstanding food and service. Nice ambiance as well. A regular stop when we go out to dinner.
Excellent brunch :)
The people at Sweet Lula were so warm and inviting. It was a pleasure to have dinner there and the food was great.
Service was very slow. It that is probably because only two servers were working on a Saturday night.
Was there for their first brunch. The choices were plentiful and the chicken and waffles were awesome. Can’t wait to try their French toast! Looked amazing.
Great food friendly staff nice night out
First time dining and loved it! Very intimate with great service. Loved the menu. Had lobster and crab ravioli with a bacon sauce. Incredible!!!! Definitely will return.
Food was great. Restaurant was very busy and got increasingly busy while we were there. At one point at least 8 people were waiting for tables. One large group of more than 10 came in. Due to the busyness we never saw our waitress after food arrived. We asked to see dessert menu but it never came. Only 2 waitress were working trying to cover the whole room. Would I go again, yes it is worth it, but not on a super busy night
Visited on Friday 3/5/21. Truly enjoyed the food and service. It was a little noisy b/c of a large party, but even so we had a great time. Food was very good and the servers very attentive.
The food was soooo good! Tried a variety of apps, caprese salad, falafel, Brussels, fisherman’s stew... all did not disappoint. Ordered pork tenderloin for dinner it was AMAZING! Friends had penne vodka And the chicken artichokes, both again did not disappoint. Our server Rose was so friendly and really made our night perfect. We also ordered the banana dessert. It was very good, the sauce on the plate made the fried outside a bit soggy where I would have preferred a more crunchy outside but nothing to complain about, just noting. Really great atmosphere, BYOB, quiet and all around a great place to go. There’s so much more I wanted to try on the menu, will definitely be back for sure!
The food was fantastic! Everything was fresh and delicious. The salmon was perfectly cooked and the crab cake was homemade and not filled with stuffing. The apple crumb dessert was excellent! Our waitress, Liv, was attentive and knowledgeable about each dish. It was our first time there and we had many questions! We really enjoyed this little gem and we will be back!
This mine & wife's 3rd time back. We did bring my niece & her boyfriend this time wth us. Food was great as always! Service was off from its normality. We will be back because the food can over come service in most cases, & sometimes you just have a tuff night.
Date night with hubby. Food was delicious. Server Olivia a sweetheart of a young woman. Chef prepared beet goat cheese salad, squash flowers lightly friend with Ricotta and marinara, crab cake perfection and Bass Florentine was cooked lovely. Not too many people in restaurant which seemed odd as the downtown area very busy. Maybe it was their outside sign not being lit on one side took us a few to find the restaurant. Parking was easily obtained. Will visit again.
Great spot for a first date if you are not trying to break the bank.
romantic and quiet. don't be the guy that takes a girl out to the bar where you can't hear your own thoughts! connect with her over some awesome Italian food.
byob was a win btw!
The Avocado fritter was so yummy and the crab salmon was cooked perfectly don’t forget to order the bread pudding the best I’ve ever had! We will be back
This is the best restaurant in the area! The food was spectacular and the service was very accommodating. This restaurant is unique and the food is something you can’t find anywhere else. I would recommend trying. 10/10
Wow what can I say pitman has come so far I came to visit an old friend and this place was spectacular everything was delicious
It was on Valentine's Day so I know they were busy but... We had a reservation and still waited 25 mins to be seated. Then my bread plate was dirty as someone ate off it. The waitress did not take our order or bring us water for at least another 15-20 minutes after we were seated. We ordered all our food at once she finally came so we could have it all in. When we finally got our appetizer my soup came at the same time and it was cold and our appetizer was over cooked. I had to send the soup back (I know bad move) and ask for bread. The kitchen was an open concept and my husband saw the hostess microwave the soup and bread. Got a slice of Key Lime pie to split and the slice was very small as in a inch to an inch and maybe a 1/2. Maybe it was busy but not a good first impression.
Might of been the worst service I’ve ever had ... took 40 minutes to get a soda .... then only seen her once after she took our order , didn’t ask if we wanted dessert or anything ... maybe it was her first night but I’ll never recommend or go here again
Always a 5 Star occasion , chef always comes out and greets his guests . One of the nicest places in our area ! Definitely recommend!
Very clean and unique byob surprisingly large dining Rooms and tables were spaced well away from others
I had the excellent lobster ravioli my friend got the crab and salmon all our dishes were cooked to perfection my server rose was very attentive we will be back ! Best kept secret .
Highly recommend cute byob!
Very nice staff. Interesting decor. Food was great
Great service that honored our request to be out in time for an 8:00 pm performance
We had an awesome experience! Must go to this restaurant!
Lovely establishment. Always a delicious meal and great experience.
Good food. Owner waited on us and was so sweet. Took our order quickly and got food to us quickly since we were going to the show at 8:00 and we were late for our dinner reservation. Cute venue. Would go back to try other dishes.
First time dining at Sweet Lula’s and it a very mixed experience. Food was very good but the service was not so. We were seated at a very nice table upstairs with a server who appeared to have the majority of their tables downstairs. After waiting 10 minutes for her to acknowledge us our food came in a reasonable time and was very good. But she never checked back to see how we were and it was 20 minutes after we had finished before a busboy asked if he could take our plates. By the time our waitress came back to see if we wanted dessert, and we did, we had to decline as we had tickets for a show at the theater across the street (which we did notify our server of when we placed our order). As slow as the service was we were afraid we we would be late for our show. We will try again but not on a show night.
The food was good but nothing special. The restaurant was ill prepared for the pre theater and Valentine's Day crowd, and we waited at the Hostess Stand for almost 10 minutes before anyone assisted.
There are much better BYOB's in the Pitman area so we won't be back.
Date night on valentines night. They were extremely busy and in my opinion overbooked. Staff seemed very overwhelmed but extremely friendly.
Brussels were burnt leaf chips, and creme brûlée was served too cold for my taste and was burnt too thick on what should have been a wafer thin crispy top.
Duck and filet mignon were amazing!
Our waitress was very overwhelmed so another waitress, Dakota, stepped in and helped her. Dakota was lovely and very on the ball.
Overall I felt meh about the dining experience but feel I would want to try it again when it’s not Valentines Day.
Sweet Lula's was our go-to local restaurant for special occasions and out-of-town guests until this meal. The restaurant was clearly not ready for a large Valentine's Day and Broadway show crowd. We waited for 15 minutes to be seated at an early sitting with plenty of empty seats in view, and then the wait for our food was unusually long --- long enough that did not have time for coffee and dessert. The food was also disappointing. The caper sauce on the chicken piccata had 2 capers, and the medium-rare ribeye was more like a well-done flank steak.
This place is understandably hectic before a Saturday night Broadway show. We were seated in about 10 minutes at a nice table by the front window. The servers were running around like their hair was on fire, but managed OK. Our calamari was absolutely overdone and tough. Too bad, the rest of the meal was very good. My pork loin was very tasty and enjoyable. We'll be back, even on a show night.
Always a great meal.
Always great food and wonderful service!
Great little byob in the heart of Pitman, NJ.
Second visit and hopefully not my last.
Service was prompt and helpful, the atmosphere was excellent and busy, the food was excellent; we had salmon with crab and scallops and shrimp, both delicious. Dessert was Banana Fritter awesomeness! You can’t beat the atmosphere. We will be back for another meal.
Three out of four entrees were delicious. Interesting variety on the menu. Seemed overpriced in general. Very loud. Recommend with some hesitancy....
