Lounge speaks to many tastes, from cocktail & wine lovers, to grazers and
full on steak aficionados.
If you like T-Bar in the city, you will love it in Southampton as well. There's a sweet outdoor area in the back that brings it to life and although I saw just one waiter, he was amazing- a South African young man who was just a pleasure. He was attentive, smart and charming. The entire evening went by too quickly, but the steaks (their staple) was out of this world. If you don't like steak, there are better places to go. But if you do, I highly recommend T-Bar
Was honestly a little disappointed by this place. It had such great reviews and some elements were great. I had to send my steak back for being way over cooked and overall the steak was so bland. Definitely not worth the money.
It always takes a little too long to get the drink order, after that it’s very goid
our 2 nd visit here, front desk Lady had numerous
Folks milling around, but she greeted us& promptly
Seated us, she also lowered the AC for another diner,as it was much to cool which I appreciated. The server was professional & in spite of the busyness of the restauraunt ,he took our order& got everything right!
This restaurant is a added plus to the East End community.Excellent food, fine service& & responsive
Staff, we will be back again!,S
Very disappointed. Service was poor, unfriendly, inattentive, and their lack of training in some of the very basics of quality service at an expensive restaurant showed from the get-go.
Shortcomings: the dinner entrees came almost on top of the drink orders, leaving us no time to enjoy the drinks and certainly no opportunity to order wine to accompany our dinner. We ordered the porterhouse, (med-rare to medium), and in about 5 minutes it came out overly seared, almost charred, and raw - not rare but RAW - on the inside. The kitchen had cut the steak, as is often the case with a porterhouse, so they certainly should have seen the undercooked center. We sent it back, obviously, and it returned closer to medium. They never took back the sides, which got cold as we sat there waiting until the steak returned, until we asked them to. The steak was well seasoned, yes, and tasted ok but not the intro you'd expect of this place and this dish. The sides were fine but unremarkable.
They never asked if we wanted wine, or a second drink for that matter. The waiter seemed insulted that we were unhappy with the undercooked steak and never smiled again. Once we were all done they completely ignored us for 45 minutes until we finally had to ask for the check.
All of this, and very expensive, even by Hamptons standards. i'll be shocked if this place returns next season. We will be extremely unlikely to return.
the service is always outstanding and the food always consistently good. It's definitely a reliable favorite of mine.
Overall a mediocre experience. I guess the so-do food and long waiting time is compensated by a nice ambiance. Ordered guacamole twice- both time came back too spicy and impossible to eat. Octopus was not impressive but Branzino was nicely done. The waiter didn’t offer any bread during the hour we waited for food- had to ask him twice to bring it :((
Drinks were delicious so it made the waiting bearable .
Just love this place. Great atmosphere. Excellent service and food is delish. So glad they came to Southampton!!!!
Poor cousin of T-Bar new York. As a frequent diner at the NYC location, I was very disappointed in
the quality of the food and equally disappointed in the service. With similar menus, there was no
consistency in the dishes at the two locations. All dishes in Southampton faired poorly in comparison.
In addition, .we had to seek out the maitre d to pay the check since we had not seen our waiter since our coffee was delivered.
We always enjoy our times at T Bar both in New York City and Southhampton!
Food good, service poor and very slow.
This was our fourth visit to T-Bar Southampton. The previous three were all five-star. This time, not so much. Our decaf coffee was so weak that it didn't even look brown; the server didn't volunteer to make a new pot but suggested decaf espresso instead! My French fries were soggy. And, despite Southampton Town's ban on plastic straws, which took effect last February, this restaurant continues to use them. Come on, T-Bar, you're better that this.
Great addition to the Hamptons

In spite of the very light attendance at the restaurant, service was painfully slow. We had to ask that someone take our drink orders (after waiting 20 minutes) and then had to ask for menus. The food was fully priced ($30 lamb burger and $25 guacamole - welcome to the Hamptons...) and entirely average. The pizza was disappointing. How hard is it to make a good pizza margherita? It’s too bad, because the restaurant is attractive and the garden area looks lovely.
I love T-bar UES and was so happy to learn they were in Southampton as well. We had a total of 11 people at the restaurant that night everyone was very pleased with the food and service.
I will certainly go again
Great food and service! Lovely setting...especially outside
Absolutely delicious food. Usually I go out to dinner in Southampton and spend a lot of money and am not super impressed but I was blown away by the food. Super flavorful, great service etc.
Best place in the hamptons
Great food Great service and great atmosphere
Food is far from as good as the nyc branch. Menu is missing many standard favorites and is much smaller. It is not the same quality. A very big disappointment. Ambiance is missing in full. It is just a grey dark, depressing place
Friendly Staff even though everyone seemed a little overwhelmed. Bustling on a Saturday night. Duck was A++ still thinking about it 😋
Kept us waiting for 45 minutes (didn't offer anything to make up for this long wait time). My friend's water glass was chipping and they didn't seem bothered that she almost drank the chipped glass.
On a perfect summer evening the festive patio was full of happy diners. The service was exemplary, every dish was excellent. Favorites were the perfect guacamole and the outstanding crusted tuna. A beloved Lexington Avenue tradition transported to Southampton, a very welcome addition.
Food , service is excellent as tony fortuna has very high standards . On a nice nice the outdoor space is lovely and noise level better for group conversation. So glad to have T-Bar back in southampton :)
LOVE IT IN THE CITY - WAS HOPING AND IT EXCEEDED EVERY EXPECTATION!
Food was excellent though quite expensive. Crowd old. The noisiest restaurant I’ve ever been in. Cant talk to the person next to you. Waiter was like a robot. Hardly ever came by except to drop our food off. Seemed understaffed. I’d never go back. So many better restaurants out here.
Vibe was great. They were accommodating about changing the menu and everything was delicious. Tuna tartar, pizza, chicken Milanese which they grilled on request. Great experience which you don’t always get in the Hamptons.
Welcome back Tbar Southampton:) this is a peanut free restaurant👏👏 . Tony Fortuna makes you feel like you are family always . The food in nyc and SH are consistently fabulous. I am glad you are back in town.
help and service very good. lovely eating out of doors but extremely noisy inside. food very good, especially bread, but on pricey side
So much love. Can’t wait to go again and again. Turkey burger paradise
Excellent spirits, food and service. Wonderful wait staff and friendly atmosphere. Thanks for a great night.
It was very good - Sunday evening at the end of a holiday weekend so fully staffed and very nice food. Nit may gluten free options. Risotto added to the menu would help - they have it in the risotto balls
Great spot. Food was wonderful. Outdoor dining was fantastic
Lovely waiters and help. Couldn’t have been nicer.
Food was delicious .
Couldn’t ask for more!!
Excellent food and service. Same quality as Upper East Side location.
Love this restaurant and Tony! We came early ... but as it filled in .... the noise made it deafening!!!
Left with a headache 😢
Staff was lovely. Food was very good. A little pricey.
Great food, music, space. Had a great time and great service
Servers were disastrous! We love this restaurant and I know they will get it together.
But this group was terrible
