you cancelled my booking. nothing good to say. if you are out of business??? why do you keep sending me emails
Courgette linguine contained no courgette. Other vegetables therein poorly cooked. Soggy pasta. No seasoning.
Overall a tasteless dish.
French waiter very perfunctory.
Two glasses of Malbec cost £17.40 a ridiculous price.
Friendly staff, a great menu. Really thoughtful flavour combinations executed very well. Good portion sizes, enjoyed 3 courses with out feeling overfull. Great wine pairing. A bit chilly in the conservatory, but did not detract from the excellent food. Atmosphere was a little lacking, but I think this is always a bit hit and miss with hotel restaurants.
The excellent gin list would be enhanced by descriptions in the drinks list. Great to see such local produce.
Overall very good will definitely return.
A very enjoyable Sunday lunch, will definitely recommend it to friends.
We had a lovely meal at Table 22. Could not fault the food, service or the cocktails. The main dining area was a little bit cold, I was sat near a draughty window and also the way our table was positioned meant everyone who walked past my husband's chair bashed it. The table could easily have been turned sideways avoiding this. Apart from that though everything was amazing and we will definitely be returning.
Such a great night for my birthday! Brilliant service
Very good food and excellent value. Service was good. A bit of a cold draft from the open doors!
Great food and service. Really enjoyed. Good atmosphere too
Thoroughly enjoyable evening. Food was delicious and will definitely return!
Not welcomed by the hosts on arrival. Food just ok and lacked that special something. Trying to be fine dining but it’s not. The cheese soufflé as a starter, had broad beans, asparagus and spinach. This in the spring would have been really appealing but as the broad beans and asparagus were either frozen or flown in, shouldn’t have been on the menu in my view. I was hoping for fresh and local ingredients.
It was busy, and had plenty of staff so obviously some people like it there. The best thing about our evening were the top notch cocktails - otherwise it would have had just a one star rating. Very disappointing.
Our starters were lovely, my main the lamb dish was really dry, I was unable to eat the crushed potatoes without water. It desperately needed a jus or sauce of something. Such a disappointment to a long awaited evening out.
We visited last Sunday and had the 2 course Sunday lunch. I had the mushroom ravioli starter which was excellent & roast beef. The menu options were a little limited but the food was delicious.
My disappointment was in the bar area as it didn’t meet my expectations decor wise, is a very tight space and the cocktails were not that great. My husband had an old fashioned that was sickly sweet & I had a raspberry lemon drop martini that was average. The flat white coffee after my meal was bitter. Nonetheless the service was excellent & overall we enjoyed the experience.
Having fined at Table 22 on many occasions we decided to celebrate my birthday with a Sunday Lunch. We were not disappointed, on the contrary we left completely satisfied in every aspect. Would have liked to have seen cheese and biscuits as an option for dessert.
Fantastic Sunday Lunch, staff exceedingly friendly and welcoming, we stayed at the hotel for our wedding night 51 years ago they kindly took us up to see our Honeymoon room. My Wife says that it was the best Sunday Lunch she had ever had especially the roast potatoes and the Pork Belly which we both ordered was succulent with great crackling. They made our day extra special, many thanks.
The menu is confused and the waitress had a roll-up cigarette in her apron that fell out when she was serving us.
Very empty for a Saturday night - we were the only diners in the main room and few in the conservatory.
Menu is limited and several dishes had prawns with them or one crab dish - neither of which I eat. Confusion over our light bite to have before the starter meant that all came together. Too much potato with the scallop and squid dish. The main course lamb was perfectly cooked but lacked any sauce and not sure about servicing with just and interesting salad alongside the crushed potato. Dessert was disaster - a very solid panna cotta served in an coffee cup so no chance of testing consistency. Got the bill wrong in our favour so I handed over cash to cover the two glasses of red not charged.
The hotel is a lovely setting and deserves a more interesting menu - no game, venison and only very limited fish....
Very pleasant lunch in lovely Georgian village square. Simple no fuss, good quality food very nicely presented. Great service lovely ambience.
Anniversary Meal, food was excellent and our waitress was very attentive. Would definitely recommend and visit again. Would have liked to be able to choose to leave a gratuity rather than having it placed on the bill, as only 2 of us. Would have left one anyway, just think its cheeky :-)
Fantastic evening and a very good service. Food fabulous
We had a lovely lunch, the Asian beef noodle salad starter was tasty, main was the chicken, bacon and avocado salad which was well cooked and very filling. Service was good food very Reasonably priced
Fantastic experience; delicious cocktails, super tasty food with impeccable and friendly service. We'll definitely be back for the next special occasion!!
Very good atmosphere, excellent service , very well presented food, will definitively visit again
Prices fairly good, presentation of food good, burger good. However, at no point during the evening was I asked by the waiter/waitress if I would like to order a drink. An order for wine for my husband was taken but I wasn’t asked if I wanted a drink (so I stuck with the tap water on the table). Chicken starter was rather bland. Ordered seared cod loin as main course. I asked if it came with anything and was told no so I ordered crushed potatoes to go with it. When it arrived it already had potato on the plate plus I then had an additional bowl of potato. I think the waiter should have advised me that there was potato included with the dish and perhaps suggested I have some other side dish instead. The shrimp and chive hash cake just tasted of potato, no sign of any shrimp. Samphire was woody. A coffee and hot chocolate was ordered. The coffee was hot but the hot chocolate was only luke warm. There were also dead flies on the window sills in the conservatory eating area. Sadly I don’t think we will return.
