Tableside Italian Cook Shoppe
Amazing dinner! Great cocktails and pasta dishes.
Excellent meal, we will definitely be back! From food to service and ambiance, everything was great. Highly recommend
Lovely experience. Food was fantastic! Moneybags are a must. Service was great.
Over rated and over priced for a neighborhood place, food are just ok nothing special.
Never disappointing. The grilled octopus was very fresh as was the lobster pasta. My favorite neighborhood restaurant. Even the take out is awesome ie: free range roast chicken. Yummy
This place is wonderful. Low-key but it is just good all around.
The food here is phenomenal. So fresh and delicious. My personal gauge is whether I need to salt my food and I didn’t at all, A+. We shared the farmer’s table and I had the short rib ragu- highly recommend both. It was a torrential downpour but our server was so good natured and the service was remarkably speedy which is tough to find during these trying times. Delicious cocktails too. We will definitely be back.
The service was definitely awesome! The octopus app and burrata platter both are delicious, but the lobster pasta was not as good as expected.
Lovely food! Well done job on the outdoor space.
Wonderful experience! Food was amazing. Definitely recommend the European bass and the moneybags. Service was on point. Cute outdoor dinning space as well. We will be back!
Thank you for making my birthday super special! I look forward to returning soon.
Great service and terrific food/cocktails
Originally made a party for 8 but expanded to 10 for our party, which was very nice.
The food was great, the wine was reasonably priced, they have a different take on table bread, and the wait staff was attentive and gracious. They even cut and served the birthday cake we had.
All in all a great dining experience and we can’t wait to be back.
delicious food and great service!
Food was amazing and servers were extremely attentive and informative. The meatballs are a must! They have an incredible wine list and the tiramisu is an absolute must! Their outdoor dining was more pleasant than I expected. Will definitely be dining here again soon! This place has easily become my go to for amazing authentic Italian food!
This is my go to spot...always greeted with friendly service and the food is delicious to say the least. Very cute for date night or sit at bar and catch up with a friend or chat with friendly bartender!
Either way, you won't be disappointed.
They are open for outdoor eating! Super friendly and great Italian fare
Great experience. They made the best of outdoor dining.
Our first meal out since isolation started in March...and it did not disappoint. Service was lovely, the negroni were perfect as were the dishes. We had the Carnivore platter, Upstream Swimming Fish and Truffled Moneybags, and it was all excellent. Will definitely be back. Ambiance was not a 5 because we were on the sidewalk and there was too much sun for a hot day but social distancing was good.
Sea bass was excellent, steaks were excellent. Appetizers tasty.
I went for my birthday and the service and food were just perfect. The best service in NYC for sure!!
Came here on a date. Great meal. Truffled moneybags are insane. Highly recommend.
Everything was great, looking forward to coming back. Thanks for the great hospitality and delicious food.
One of the best meals I've had in a long time! Authentic Italian food. Cozy spot.
Wow, what a gem! Came here for dinner with friends, food and service were right on point. Cocktails were creative and tasty. Food was exceptional, we had shared grandmas beef meatballs, octopus and eggplant for apps. For mains the drunken golden bird, roasted hog, tasty crustacean and lady of the night. All prepared perfectly.
Our meal at Tableside was exquisite! The chef here deserves an award- all food was to die for. And our servers could not have been friendlier. We will certainly be back.
I was there for my birthday with 5 of my friends. From the word go we had a bad feeling. We were seated and right away warned by the waiter that they were out of a number of items. There was only one waiter and one busboy for the entire restaurant, which meant service was really slow. Most of the food was pretty bland except for the bread, eggplant, and desserts. I was required to provide my credit card to hold the reservation even though the restaurant was half empty. Altogether I would not recommend and we do not plan to return.
Hi Elaine, we are sincerely sorry that you did not enjoy your experience. Being seated right away is typically a good thing- Sunday's can be on the quiet side, but if you're looking for a livelier atmosphere, Fri/Sat are always a packed house! We were not understaffed, 1 waiter, bartender, and food runner, as well as the owner for a small restaurant on a Sunday is plenty of staff. Many restaurants require credit cards for larger parties for obvious reasons. We hope you will reconsider!
Wonderful meal and service. We had the tasty crustacean and wide road pasta, both were excellent. Decor is beautiful as well. Looking forward to coming back.
We had the perfect valentines dinner at a corner banquet table. Good and service were excellent. Highly recommend grilled octopus ! Loved the hummus that accompanied the warm bread.
This was our first meal at Tableside Italian Cook Shoppe and it turned out to be the best restaurant that we have been to in years. The food was superb, especially the main entries. I had the Roasted Hog, which is a succulent 16 oz. pan roasted pork chop, and my wife had the Little Ears of Apulia, which is orecchiette with sweet sausage and broccoli rabe. The service was low key and professional and, when asked, the server was helpful in deciding what to order. The ambience is subdued and the music is enjoyable, but unobtrusive. You can actually have a conversation without having to talk over the sound. Overall, a fantastic dining experience.
We had an outstanding meal at Tableside. I am very particular about my Italian food, and each dish was executed perfectly. Service was top notch and the place is quaint and romantic. Highly recommend and cannot wait to return.
My wife and I ate there for Valentine’s Day. The menu was delicious can’t wait to go back. I think I have a new favorite restaurant.
The restaurant did not live up to the ambiance of the photos. The food was also disappointing. Apps were ok, but the fresh pasta with wild boar was a little rubbery and the cut of steak was poor. The steak was ordered medium rare and was served medium to well... slightly pink. Not a place I would return.
What an amazing authentic Italian dining experience in the East Village. Great service, good location. The food was very good. We had several outstanding pasta dishes and I'd recommend the dessert as well. Craft cocktails were creative and delicious. I would highly recommend Tableside.
The food, ambiance and service were all excellent! We will definitely go back. Also, I accidentally made the reservation for a different day and they graciously said they would accommodate our party.
I was pleasantly surprised to find this neighborhood gem. We were cheerfully greeted by a man who turned out to be our server, too. (Unfortunately I have forgotten his name.)
The European bass I ordered was good and so was my son's pasta. As they got busier, the service got a little slower in the sense that it took a while before we could see and call him to ask for more water. Nevertheless, I would recommend this restaurant to friends.
Excellent. Place is really cute. Food was excellent and the service was outstanding. Would highly recommend
Hands down one of my favorite spots. Always delicious and cozy.
We had a late dinner.Wonderful food, gracious owner greeting at the door.
