Victor was the absolute BEST waiter… the best service we received our entire trip. He was incredibly attentive and truly showed he cared about our experience. We were very grateful for him.
AMAZING experience! We came here during our stay in Mexico for my bachelorette and it was a great time. Service was great, food was great, we made friends with other party-goers there. Definitely make a reservation for sure before going because it's ALWAYS busy.
We had heard such great things, sadly, we didn’t experience them. Our waiter forgot to place our order, then we got handed to another waiter who forgot one of our appetizers. They forgot our drinks once as well. When our rack of lamb came, it was under cooked and cold. Only later did we see it’s because there was supposed to be a blow torch that was supposed to sear it. We just felt completely forgotten about. Unfortunate.
Amazing! johvonny and Abel are the best!
AMAZING! We received a complementary appetizer, which was yummy. Everything we ordered was soooo good, and come out within a couple of minutes. There was live entertainment throughout. 100/10 yes!
My boyfriend and I came to Taboo around 2 PM with high expectations. Sadly it was the most disappointing experience and over priced. From the moment we walked onto the beach club, they ran through prices extremely quickly and jabbed us for our money. They sat us on a dining table on the beach and made us pay an additional 2500 pesos for the “club fee”. We then requested a sun bed instead. This is not at all a private beach and for an additional 2500$ pesos the beach should be blocked off instead of people trying to sell me clothes the entire time.
The sun beds were unclassy and dirty.
The manager was nice enough to credit us and we dined at the restaurant instead. We wasted over an hour changing the situation to try and get comfortable after he told us an entire refund will take 2-3 weeks.
The food was good but overpriced.
Save your money and go elsewhere.
Loud music blaring and you can’t hear anything.
Great experience for the vibe and party environment if you’re with a group pre-gaming for the night but the food was very average and over priced and the drinks were weak. Service wasn’t great either.
I love this place. The staff is amazing and the food was delicious! My brother really enjoyed his birthday!
Overpriced, staff with attitude, food was ok but nothing special.Better restaurants nearby.
Over priced !! Ridicolous . 300 dollars for one sea bass and a bottle of wine . Wannabe Ibiza
Amazing food amazing attentive service. Great music only go if you are looking for a party vibe.
We had such a good time here! It was very energetic! Great crowd. Lots 9f gun! The food was excellent! I recommend going in the afternoon, and requesting outdoor seating. It would be even better if you can get a cabana!
Atención oportuna, reserva garantizada y alimentos y servicio super
Super slechte bediening ze kijken de kleding uit je eigen vrouw zijn langzaam en niet behulpzaam
Where to begin-
We had a reservation for four at 11:15 pm Dec 31st 2021 . We knew it would be a busy night hence we showed up at 8 to confirm our reservation in person. We were told by the hostess to show up exactly at 11:15pm. And that’s exactly what we did, upon arrival at 11 :15 pm , it was chaotic and mismanaged front house. Upon several attempts we finally got the attention of a hostess who told us they didn’t have a table for us, Come to find out they sold our table to a higher bidder. How I know this? Right in front of us were a group among 6-7 other large groups, whom we overheard making a deal / saw passing money to the hostess under the table. These hostesses were making their own salary on top of getting paid to do their job properly. Maybe the management knows of this and is in on it or these hostesses are fully taking advantage of the situation and ruining the reputation of Grupo RosaNegra® and Eduardo Beaven.
We didn’t want to start our new year with being negative to the people working there hard to ruin the face of such a beautiful restaurant so we decided to go somewhere else (11:45pm) so that we can peacefully ring in the New Year.
Grupo RosaNegra® granted your restaurants are popular and successful but you are making your goals of hitting those numbers each year, but at the same time you are losing the goal of customer satisfaction and experience by letting these hostesses (hustlers and I mean in a negative way) be the face of your company.
They overbooked New Years and didn’t provide a lot of what was promised. Showed up 20 minutes early to our reservation and we’re not seated until 45 minutes after our reservation time. We were told we would be seated with other random people until they made us a makeshift seperate table. We ordered drinks three times within and hour and never received them, the only way we were finally served drinks was when we ordered a bottle. No fireworks and because we had to wait so long for our table we missed any live entertainment. The staff was working hard, but it seemed the night was poorly planned by management.
Estuvo increíble ! Muy buen y rápido servicio de todos los meseros. El ambiente está muy cómodo y emocionante.
Absolutely the worst NYE experience I’ve ever had the displeasure to have had in my 60 years of existence on this planet !
Complete shambles , disorganised , took over an hour to get us seated . Paid 15000 pesos to be sat on the sand in totally uncomfortable chairs and a coffee table to be hurriedly served pre prepared poor quality cold food .
I can understand the reasons - I’ve been in business 30 years I’m totally aware of the factors - but this reputable place which I’m
Certain in normal week to week deserves its reputation I’m afraid so badly ruined it’s reputation in our eyes .
I can only conclude - money grabbing opportunistic owners ….. shame
Buffet was no good all the food was cold and out of everything
At the reception thing are going very slow. 30min waiting line. The servers, overwhelmed but they did a good job.the food was horror. Usually the foid is very good at taboo but the new years eve dinner was not.i couldnt eat anything. So we paid a lot of money only for a bottle of champagne and some cheese.
Some of us got intoxicated with the seafood, the music was plain, same intro, same tracks over and over, dinner was like bleh! Not doing another New Years dinner ever again for sure.
They couldn’t find the payment I made through here and we weren’t allowed into our table for 25 minutes
We paid US$345 per person for New Year’s Eve which included the face style food and one glass of champagne. The food was absolutely terrible. Weird flavors that didn’t really mix together, wasn’t always hot when it was served, and Was not worth the money.
Normally this place goes out of their way to create an amazing experience and the only thing they had besides the sparklers was a guy playing the violin. Even the music turned to hip-hop which is not normal of a Tulum beach place.
Would not recommend going here again for food or for New Year’s Eve.
Food didn't have much flavor you can definitely get better food in tulum. The place is beautiful service is great the food was nothing special at all especially not for the price.
Fuimos a las 11 a.m. Música demasiado fuerte y la gente desfasada.
It was a good day…just the beds etc are very pricey!
Great food ($$$) great staff nice menu choices. Good show Very loud dont go there for great conversation!!
A great Christmas. Food, service and atmosphere were all 5 star!
It was so nice music place the server are awesome but food not that good .
Awful awful awful.
Nice place good food and drinks but overpriced to the max
Beautiful venue. Service was great. Violinist was off the chain good. Sadly, the food was average and expensive. I was expecting more. That being said, it was vibrant and fixed the jet lag.
My Second time over there was Awesome. Will definitely going back there
I would have given this place 5 stars if it was not for the entrance experience. Host is not personable at all and was very nasty when giving pricing. The guys who service the tables were amazing and very attentive.
Amazing and fun loving
Bday dinner.. amazing
