The environment and aesthetics were wonderful. I server was very nice and attentive, but the food was horrible!! we ordered the fajitas which we were told two ppl can share but absolutely not. Ive never ordered fajitas and they not come from the back sizzling fresh off the grill. These were more like out of the microwave. From the beans to the rice nothing was authentic or even seem to be fresh. Very disappointed to say it's such a beautiful place.

Really liked the place and the food. The only problem was no split bill and we had 12 ladies, but we made it work.

Had a reservation for Mother's Day but they were way behind. I had asked for indoor seating and it wasn't available. The waitress saved the day! She was awesome and made up for the many issues when we arrived!

Very nice Mothers Day brunch spot! They gave a glass of champagne and a Rose to the women and were able to accommodate a last minute addition to our party!

The server was wonderful! Only thing is the management was very rude. I don’t know if that day was just a lot because of workers being out but I went for my birthday and the experience but it wasn’t what i expected or got at all. Nice scenery though.

Went during happy hour and loved it—super clean, great service, and nice and quiet. Tried all the tacos, and the Chicken Tinga was amazing

FAQs

Yes, Tacos Del Cartel is often recommended for date night thanks to its lively, stylish atmosphere, creative cocktails, and fun presentations. Guests frequently call out the vibe, decor, and standout drinks, and many say it’s a great spot for celebrations or a special night out. Note: the music can be very loud on weekend nights and the restaurant can feel crowded, so for a quieter date consider a weekday or early seating.

Families do dine here and many guests bring teens or celebrate birthdays; it can be a fun spot for family celebrations. That said, the restaurant leans toward an upscale, lively vibe (and can be loud), and some guests note the menu/pricing isn’t tailored for small children. Accessibility details aren’t specified in guest feedback or owner info, if ADA seating or stroller accommodations are important, call ahead and the team can advise.

For a lively experience go on weekend evenings when the music and energy are high. For a quieter meal, choose weekday lunch or early dinner, guests note midweek visits and weekday happy hour were calmer and more relaxed. If you want the Taco Tuesday value, confirm any guest-limit rules in advance (some guests reported restrictions).

Portions are generally moderate, tacos and small plates are presented stylishly and intended for sharing or ordering a few per person. Guests report some items (like eggs benedict or short ribs) as a good portion, while tacos are sometimes described as small and a bit pricey. If you’re hungry, plan to order multiple tacos, a couple of sides or an appetizer to feel satisfied.

The atmosphere is energetic, colorful, and Instagram-friendly, many guests praise the decor, upbeat music, and fun presentation of food and drinks. It’s a party-forward, celebratory vibe that’s great for nights out, but guests warn the music can be very loud and the space can feel busy during peak times.

Tacos Del Cartel offers indoor dining, a lively bar area, and a covered patio, guests mention both indoor tables and a covered patio seating. The restaurant does not advertise private dining or private party rooms, so parties typically dine in the main dining room or on the patio.

Specific payment methods (card vs. cash) aren’t published in the available info, but guests frequently report limits on splitting checks: some parties were told the restaurant can’t split the bill for large groups and can accept multiple forms of payment up to a set number of cards. Several guests also reported automatic gratuity for parties of four and charges like a cake fee, so bring one card or be prepared to do some split-bill math or call ahead.

The listed dress code is Business Casual. Guests typically dress up a bit for the lively, stylish setting, smart casual or business casual attire fits the restaurant’s vibe.

Busiest: weekend nights (Fri–Sat) and peak dinner hours, guests describe loud music, party energy, and crowded weekend scenes. Quietest: weekday lunches and early dinners; several guests noted calmer midweek visits and an enjoyable happy hour experience with better service and lower noise.

Yes, guests mention a covered patio and outdoor seating options. Several reviews describe dining on the patio and finding it pleasant for lunch or when the weather is good. If you prefer outdoor seating, request it when booking.

Yes, it’s a good idea to call ahead for special requests like birthday arrangements, seating preferences, or dietary needs. Guests frequently celebrate birthdays here (some mention cake fees and lively staff-led celebrations), so calling ahead will clarify any fees, birthday surprises, or accommodation needs and help set expectations.

For a lively night out choose Friday or Saturday; for a more relaxed meal pick a weekday (Monday–Thursday) or happy hour when service tends to be quicker and the noise level lower. If you want Taco Tuesday pricing, confirm restrictions beforehand, some guests found the advertised special limited to parties of two or bar seating.

There’s no explicit public information about a formal waiting list, but guests report long waits during busy periods and recommend reservations. Some guests with reservations still experienced delays; the best approach is to reserve when possible and call the restaurant if you’re concerned about wait times.
