Excellent restaurant, always great to be back. Top Mitch food, good atmosphere, reasonable prices.
The food at the sister restaurant Tamarind in Green Park is delicious. However, the atmosphere is quite stuffy there. I much preferred the Soho location. Food was skilfully executed and there's lots of variety on the menu, great for sharing. Excellent cocktails and good service.
It was a birthday treat! For my nieces and it was a superb choice. Excellent service not rushed , food was on point a little pricey.
This may be one of the best overall restaurants I've ever been to.
The place itself was unbelievable, with fantastic character and decorated superbly. We were treated like royalty with the staff with the perfect balance of prompt service but not so much that you felt rushed.
The food was superb, we had a starter and two mains which were quite large and unfortunately some had to be left. We had cocktails which had slight variances on the usual preparations which made them all the better. For the quality of all of the above its unbelievably well priced.
It is our fourth visit here, the food is exceptional every time
Delicious curry! Really good ambiance and attentive staff. Pricier than your normal Indian restaurant, but perfect for an occasion.
Nice Indian restaurant in the heart of Soho, the smoked spicy chicken tikka is amazing!
This was one of the best meals we had while vacationing in London. We tried the tasting menu, and I’m so glad we did! Every course was amazing, it was paced well, & even though it was a busy Saturday night, we never felt rushed. We will absolutely be back next time we are in London.
Service was excellent, original requested table was not available but they made extra effort to ensure we were happy with alternative. Yolanda provided a 1st class table service and great advice on recommended dishes and cocktails - food and overall experience superb! Thank you.
One of the best indian restaurants in London. Very similar to Dishoom.
Prices were extortionate.
Yes we checked the menu but prices I’m sure were out of line. Bottle of Sauvignon was £50 and that was the cheapest.
Staff were attentive but manager insisted 3 people sat round a table for 2 with a fair few shopping bags. So very unprofessional attitude from him.
When we explained we worked for TA he soon changed his persona.
Wasn’t the best place for food.
Was really disappointed in the whole experience
Amazing Indian. Amazing service! GO HERE! 😋
Solid little sister to Tamarind. Relatively (to other Indian restaurants) limited menu. We had a problem with our server initially who seemed to have made a mistake in our order. As it turns out when we flagged a manager, he explained she was in training and had done something differently than we wanted. This happens in restaurants and as long as they fix it, and the food is good, I stay positive. That is exactly what happened here. The manager bent over backwards to make sure the rest of the meal was served correctly, that we had everything we wanted and the food was very good. If you are in the Fitzrovia neighborhood, this is a solid choice.
The food was very good and in general the service was excellent, we liked it better than it’s sister restaurant Tamarind which was great before the renovation. The chicken curry was superb . The lamb chops were very good but overpriced in my view. Notwithstanding the food was excellent, the only downside was that when we were initially seated they gave us the worst seat in the house on the aisle to the kitchen on one side and the stairs to the washroom on the other, this even though we had a reservation and there were many tables for two available. We insisted on Boeing reseated at a proper table. It could easily have ruined our evening.
All in all a very good restaurant with excellent service albeit a bit in the expensive side for what you get. Still highly recommended.
Went for my birthday - had the tasting menu. Food was absolutely delicious (although a bit spicy for me). Service was excellent and a buzzy atmosphere. Would definitely recommend
Authentic Indian food, really enjoyed it!
The chicken tikka was outstanding .
The food was not very great ...had high expectations ...the service and ambience were good though ..
Overall good enjoyable experience although disappointed with paneer tikka dish which was expensive yet plain and dry and only 2 small pieces with no accompaniments such as tomatoes, peppers or onions or even tamarind sauce. Cost of breads, an important item to accompany vegetables, and was extremely expensive at almost £4
Amazing lunch menu. Very authentic food - reminded me of my recent trip to Kerala! Highly recommend for a relaxed Saturday lunch!
Fab food. Lovely ambience. Comfortable. Good authentic food.
Incredible food at a very fair price.
Wonderful restaurant. I have fined there many times and it never fails to impress.
Great good and service in cosy environment. Quite extensive but valuable
Always have a nice experience here.
Great service and amazing food. Definitely would return.
The food was incredible as usual! Wasn’t a huge fan of the mixed grill however still tasted great.
Always a favorite.
Excellent food. Service was slow initially to take order.
Amazing amazing food, nice comfy place to sit, speedy service. We were looking after really well, all the dishes were 10/10, only downside was price, some items felt a little overpriced in terms of portion size.
Really fantastic dinner
Third time no charm. Dreamt about returning on vacation from the US, but met with dull bland food and no aroma. Serious disappointment, we won’t be back.
We tried the Tasting Menu. The food was outstanding with very vibrant and unique flavors. It is the best Indian food that we have ever had. The service was great and our waiter helped us navigate the menu. The drinks from the bar were excellent. This was a great dining experience and will definitely be on our list for our next trip to London.
Great place, great service and food.
Excellent Food with Great Staff ,The Seabass and Lambchops were amazing and for the mains I had Butter Chicken which was the best I ever had with outstanding Garlic NaN and They have Good selections of wine some are HighQuality which I had was Pino Noir of France, whole Dining Experience was Wonderful,They have very attentive and professional staff with Top class service. Thank you so much guys. I will be returning soon with Friends.
Waitress was extremely helpful & advised us on the dishes. The food was excellent & we’ll definitely be back!
Service and food was exceptional. I took the whole family and they all enjoyed everything about the restaurant. .
Ordered crab and scallop starters for a party of three followed by lobster dish and a few vegetable sides - the starters were not served together and were cold and stale the main course felt reheated the lobster was rubbery and the vegetable dishes tasted bland as if reheated from a can. It was disappointing because it had been recommended by Ramsay and apparently has a Michelin star ... absolutely no way was the food Michelin standard and on a Friday they were taking walk-ins not surprised. Atmosphere is nice but paying premium Michelin prices is not justified. Will not be returning
Poor unhappy waiters had some politics going on. They swore plenty.
However, food was delicious. Needs to be more professional service even if it's a Sunday. It's a shame as it's a beautiful setting.
Tamarind Kitchen is an amazing restaurant. Excellent food. Extremely fresh and tasty! Lots of smaller plates to start with then the main course. Excellent choice of wine! Would highly recommend this restaurant - I’ll definitely be back again soon
It was beyond our expectations- special thanks goes to our waiter “Alex”
