Service and food was exceptional. I took the whole family and they all enjoyed everything about the restaurant. .
Poor unhappy waiters had some politics going on. They swore plenty.
However, food was delicious. Needs to be more professional service even if it's a Sunday. It's a shame as it's a beautiful setting.
Tamarind Kitchen is an amazing restaurant. Excellent food. Extremely fresh and tasty! Lots of smaller plates to start with then the main course. Excellent choice of wine! Would highly recommend this restaurant - I’ll definitely be back again soon
It was beyond our expectations- special thanks goes to our waiter “Alex”
While we liked the flavors of some dishes, we found the portions small and some dishes too salty. For the price point, we expected a lot more. Servers seemed like they were in a rush to get us out for some reason.
Amazing food and cocktails and a great vibe! Perfect place for dining with friends.
Good food and nice place
The food was amazing! Full of flavor! Really enjoyed it and would definitely recommend
They have finally changed the menu back to something good (it was not for the last 8 months). Now worth going again. Really good.
Had a very nice meal here, the biryani is outstandingly good. The service was great as well, very attentive waiter. Highly recommend this restaurant
Everything was excellent: food, service, wine. Well worth the bit extra on the price. Highly recommend
The restaurant itself was gorgeous, but the food just wasn't very good.
Amazing dinner and a great atmosphere! Would gladly recommend and will be back!
Great meal! Order the top thing on the menu (wheat things full of goodies)...like flavour bombs in your mouth. Cocktails also excellent. And the traditional milk dumpling style dessert was truly best in London.
Food was ok but the activists crashing the restaurant ruined the evening
Great food and ambience. Loved it and will go again.
Thank you for a lovely anniversary meal. We really appreciated the complimentary dessert. The butter chicken was outstanding and we will definitely be back for more.
Great food, awful service.
The food was delicious and extremely well presented. The restaurant let’s itself down badly with awful service. Having to ask for drinks that had been missed, no one available when we wanted to order more (delicious) food. Of the party of 6 no one would return or recommend due to service. Such a shame because the food was excellent. I’d love to spend 2 weeks at the restaurant sorting the Customer Service out!!
The “street food” appetizers were outstanding! Try them all. The mains were also delicious but not unusual in the same way as the appetizers. The decor is gorgeous. This goes to the top of my list of places to eat in London.
We had lunch for 4 on a Saturday, it was very quiet, but the service was slow and not very friendly. The food however was exceptional and we have been once before and did not have a problem with service then, so hopefully it was a one off.
Excellent dinner at Tamarind Kitchen with my wife and teenage children. We all had the tasting menu. Each course was beautifully presented, well explained, and had wonderful flavors. I would highly recommend!
It’s a shame that the food is so bland. I was shocked. Great Chaat as a starter but the rest really lacked flavour. Not what you expect from an Indian restaurant and one with such a lovely atmosphere.
Terrific food in a lovely setting. Without fault. Recommended.
Great service, gorgeous food and lovely atmosphere.
Service and ambiance is great but the food is mediocre.
I called to check before I booked if this place could cater for vegetarian and they assured me they can and there will be ample choices available.
On visiting and placing our order, the waiter did seem to understand requirements for our table. but told us there may traces of Meat in some of the dishes we were ordering. MEAT in Veg dishes? waiter shrugged his shoulders. I then asked to speak to a manager, he too couldn't be clear if dishes ordered were suitable for us. We decided to avoid dishes with sauces and marinades and ordered veg biryani and roti, as you can imagine, not a nice meal as we ended up with dishes that were DRY.
WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT IF YOU HAVE DIETARY REQUIREMENTS.
EXPECTED BETTER FROM THIS SO CALLED FINE DINING RESTAURANT.
Delicious food! Great ambiance!
The staff were very friendly and obliging, turning off the air conditioning because I was cold, for example. There was a bit of kerfuffle with some very loud walk-in-talkie action at one point which was a bit distracting and they played a Christmas song in the middle of June. Peculiar. The food was extremely nice - the drinks very pricey. The service was excellent - in fact, never thought I would say this, the second course came too fast and a relaxed evening was over rather sooner than I intended.
Really authentic butter chicken and loved the cocktails!
Really well made indian food and delicious, went to catch up with a couple of friends and were able to chat. It was louder than I would have liked but was able to hear easily most of the time.
I shared a main, side and 2 starters with one of my friends and with a drink it came to £30 each
Restaurant is in a cool neighborhood. Menu is very interesting. Loved everything we got!
Only in London for one evening and Tamarind came highly recommended. We were not disappointed!
Food was delicious, manager took good care of us and also great to chat to. I will definitely return.
Only thing I would advise is to specify if you like breaks in between your courses as our main followed straight after our starter so we sent it back as we needed a 15 min break.
Fabulous food, service and interior. Really enjoyed it!
Food was absolutely incredible and in a gorgeous space. Had an amazing dinner and would go back in a heartbeat. My only complaint? We ate way too much!!!!
Great food! Unpretentious. Chicken biriyani was the best. Desserts were so so.
An interesting menu, not a traditional "curry house" for sure. The Staff and Management are well informed to advise with the menu. A little negative comment, not the biggest choice of menu.
Had a friend eat here a few weeks before. Food is very good. Wine list is fantastic. Fun getting through the front door. Staff is friendly and helpful. Fun night. Acorn cake is not to be missed.
Excellent service. Great atmosphere. Lovely decor. Food is good although lacks taste. Lovely drinks and refreshing. Very very expensive. £19 for a small curry. You'll be spending £££ easily. Best to eat starters, skip the mains and head straight for dessert. Won't be returning I'm afraid as these are the type of popular restaurants you'd visit once and tick off from your list. Lastly when I got my bill, usually restaurants give hot towels or mints but got nothing from this restaurant.
Remarkable. Sampled many dishes, each a delightful flavor experience. At once familiar yet elevated beyond traditional taste profiles for Indian cuisine. Will definitely return
