Delicious food. Service excellent, couldn’t be more accommodating.
Absolutely fabulous as always
Really lovely food, nicely presented and lovely service
It was our first time at Tamarind Kitchen and it was excellent! The mango avocado salad was exceptional and the lamb kebabs were the best I've had in a long time! Defo going back...
Excellent food and great ambiance, will go again in the future.
We really enjoyed our visit here. The food was outstanding; we chose the set lunch menu which was delicious and great value.
I think the service could be improved slightly, it was very quiet when we went as we had an early lunch as we had a show booked, but we had to ask for extra drinks. Background music could be a little louder too, but that’s just being fussy.
I would definitely visit again.
Great pre-theatre menu.
All dishes were superb, the lamb was excellent. I will be returning!
High quality, flavourful food.
Extra concern for allergies and cross contamination.
Very good value.
Good food good attentive service
We will go back again!
Really good authentic food 😋 Pav bhaji is awesome
For a few dishes which I thought where good, but some dishes require major improvement i.e chicken tikka was poor.
The food was amazing slightly overpriced but tasted great. Wasn’t overly impressed with service.
Food is fine, but many other places equally good though in their area. One star cause their service sucks. Made a reservation but was given the worst possible cramped table. Waiters have huge attitude. Had to call them for everything. Charged 8 pounds for water, very nicely tricked us into buying it, even though they were serving tap water to others. 12.5% mandatory tip for the worst possible service, for a party of 3. Really ? Waiters acted as if they are too good for their job. Never going there again. Staff needs to stop hating their jobs and thinking they are all high and mighty and the customer is just some fool that walked into this privileged place where only a chosen few are allowed. If you are too good for this job, go be a CEO. Otherwise treat customers with a degree of respect. Don’t just stand there and joke around. Get to work. Make it a good experience for the customer. Just dont try to extract every last penny from them. If you treat them well they will come back and you can make a lot of money from them over time. Big disappointment.
About food - Biryani sucks. Just cause you make a big deal about opening that covering of dough, doesn’t make the dish taste good. Put some flavor into it.
Tamarind Kitchen had a lovely ambience. Service was a little slow but then they delivered what was ordered.
Food was tasty and freshly prepared but could have been hotter. Portions were on the small side but it still hit the spot.
Really great food and service. 2nd time I’ve been for that reason
Best indian food I have had in London, will be there again next time I will come to London.
Sensational food. Sublime flavours. Great vibe and ambience. Just go!
Must go if you like indian food!
The restaurant is very nice and the food is amazing, I’ll come back for sure.
Good food but not exceptional given that this is not a cheap restaurant. Service was a bit haphazard and we had to ask for menus, tableware, and drinks over the course of the evening. It wasn't an unpleasant experience at all but we certainly felt it should have been a lot better than it was for the prices they charge and its reputation. There are just too many other much better Indian restaurants in London, including in Central London, so we wouldn't return. I would recommend Masala Zone for something similar but better or Kutir near Sloane Square for something much more special.
great atmosphere, good service, lovely and tasteful food.
Portions were small, staff were not super attentive, drinks were slow and it became quite loud - however this was all on a Friday night. My guests liked the restaurant and the food, so it was a good place overall but I prefer other Indian restaurants such as Dishoom and Cinnamon Club.
Great food as always, we went at lunch time to try the veg thali and were not disappointed delicious and at £18pp great value, atmosphere even though not busy was warm and relaxed, service impeccable.
Excellent restaurant, always great to be back. Top Mitch food, good atmosphere, reasonable prices.
The food at the sister restaurant Tamarind in Green Park is delicious. However, the atmosphere is quite stuffy there. I much preferred the Soho location. Food was skilfully executed and there's lots of variety on the menu, great for sharing. Excellent cocktails and good service.
It was a birthday treat! For my nieces and it was a superb choice. Excellent service not rushed , food was on point a little pricey.
This may be one of the best overall restaurants I've ever been to.
The place itself was unbelievable, with fantastic character and decorated superbly. We were treated like royalty with the staff with the perfect balance of prompt service but not so much that you felt rushed.
The food was superb, we had a starter and two mains which were quite large and unfortunately some had to be left. We had cocktails which had slight variances on the usual preparations which made them all the better. For the quality of all of the above its unbelievably well priced.
It is our fourth visit here, the food is exceptional every time
Delicious curry! Really good ambiance and attentive staff. Pricier than your normal Indian restaurant, but perfect for an occasion.
Nice Indian restaurant in the heart of Soho, the smoked spicy chicken tikka is amazing!
This was one of the best meals we had while vacationing in London. We tried the tasting menu, and I’m so glad we did! Every course was amazing, it was paced well, & even though it was a busy Saturday night, we never felt rushed. We will absolutely be back next time we are in London.
Service was excellent, original requested table was not available but they made extra effort to ensure we were happy with alternative. Yolanda provided a 1st class table service and great advice on recommended dishes and cocktails - food and overall experience superb! Thank you.
One of the best indian restaurants in London. Very similar to Dishoom.
Prices were extortionate.
Yes we checked the menu but prices I’m sure were out of line. Bottle of Sauvignon was £50 and that was the cheapest.
Staff were attentive but manager insisted 3 people sat round a table for 2 with a fair few shopping bags. So very unprofessional attitude from him.
When we explained we worked for TA he soon changed his persona.
Wasn’t the best place for food.
Was really disappointed in the whole experience
Amazing Indian. Amazing service! GO HERE! 😋
Solid little sister to Tamarind. Relatively (to other Indian restaurants) limited menu. We had a problem with our server initially who seemed to have made a mistake in our order. As it turns out when we flagged a manager, he explained she was in training and had done something differently than we wanted. This happens in restaurants and as long as they fix it, and the food is good, I stay positive. That is exactly what happened here. The manager bent over backwards to make sure the rest of the meal was served correctly, that we had everything we wanted and the food was very good. If you are in the Fitzrovia neighborhood, this is a solid choice.
The food was very good and in general the service was excellent, we liked it better than it’s sister restaurant Tamarind which was great before the renovation. The chicken curry was superb . The lamb chops were very good but overpriced in my view. Notwithstanding the food was excellent, the only downside was that when we were initially seated they gave us the worst seat in the house on the aisle to the kitchen on one side and the stairs to the washroom on the other, this even though we had a reservation and there were many tables for two available. We insisted on Boeing reseated at a proper table. It could easily have ruined our evening.
All in all a very good restaurant with excellent service albeit a bit in the expensive side for what you get. Still highly recommended.
