Dinner Monday to Saturday 5pm - 10.30pm
Dinner Sunday 5pm- 9.45pm
Amazing food, my favourite Indian restaurant in all of London!
We were seated and it took our server 10 minutes to come over and then he literally did not even say hello offer anything about the menu nothing and then we were ignored for the rest of the evening by hand. Awful.
Food was great. The scallops outstanding. Service was poor.
Visited since the Tamarind in Mayfair was closed and pleasantly surprised! Great food and atmosphere. Will be back!
Had an enjoyable time at Tamarind: the menu is shorter than many Indian restaurants but contains something for everyone. The food itself was excellent and the service was swift. The ambience, in particular, makes this worth a visit: vibrant but not too loud, even on a Friday.
Good food and friendly hosts, a bit dark environment
Very crowded and loud place. Food was okish. Service was excellent though.
Awesome experience and love food. Service is also quick
Wonderful sister restaurant to Tamarind which was close for renovation. Great atmosphere, colorful and cosy, excellent food and service. Will be back for sure!
Food was great and the venue is lovely, but service was very slow if friendly. We also saw a mouse in the main restaurant, which we pointed out to the staff who didn't seem bothered.
Had an amazing time, chose this restaurant for my boyfriend's 30th birthday. I did email the restaurant asking if they could possibly give a complimentary drink or dessert on the day. They gave us a complimentary happy birthday dessert which was sooo tasty.
The ambiance was amazing and we both enjoyed ourselves. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Thankyou to our waiter Felix, you was amazing at attending our needs.
Excellent food and great atmosphere. Best naan I’ve had so far.
The food was delicious and the waiters very attentive, giving suggestions on what we should experimente. All was very good.
We normally visit Tamarind on Queen Street, but with that restaurant under renovation, we tried off-shoot Tamarind Kitchen in Piccadilly. A great place! Good service (server = Denny) and a really varied menu, long on subtle spices and unique Indian treats.
The waiter wasn't listening to our needs but was imposing his own ideas. We've been given the most expensive bottles of prosecco without presenting the Different bottles and prices. He was also offering most expensive alternatives food options.
Food was ok but Client service can definitely improve.
Great food albeit quite expensive. Wine list needs more moderately priced wines. Spirits too expensive.
Go for the food and have pre and post drinks elsewhere.
Staff friendly and attentive
The waiter was pushing the tasting menu at £45 per head. Food was good but not superb; hard to justify their prices with other top class Indian cuisine in London.
Stand out among lots of quality Indian restaurants in London. Exquisite quality; every dish highlighted a different attribute of this cuisine. Beautifully balanced menu.
Pricey but worth it.
Cannot recommend highly enough.
Loved the starters - we ordered papdi chaat and paneer tikka.. for the mains we ordered veg kofta which was alright.. a bit sweet.. we also ordered tadka dal as a side which we did not like.. the rotis were good
Attractive venue, really outstanding food. Really impressive flavoursome dishes. Service attentive enough and friendly.
Our table was not great asit was right outside the kitchen but otherwise the food was fantastic and the service very good.
Food was amazing. Staf very alert and friendly. Will go back for sure!
Fantastic tasting menu and very attentative staff combined with exquisite spicy food.
Wonderful food and service.
Excellent customer service, lovely food on the lunch platter, although the daal was bland. Having been to the Mayfair restaurant previously, the Soho one offers a more relaxed atmosphere, so we will definitely return.
Unforgettable experience ! Food was amazing, really nice staff, wonderful place
I am disappointed that for second time I was made to sit downstairs and next to rest rooms. Not good when you book in advance and reach on time.
Excellent food and efficient service and the staff went out of their way to help with a food intolerance. The Kerala prawn curry and the stir fried spinach were particularly good. Highly recommended.
Well, my favorite place (Red Fort) closed so tried Tamarind Kitchen. Food was tasty. Service spotty. Very long time in between courses. Seemed a little pricey. Very pretty place, but a bit noisy. My search for a Red Fort successor will continue.
Amazing Indian restaurant, My girlfriend is Indian and she is quite peeky when it comes to choose and eat in an Indian restaurant, but she really likes it as well, well recommended
Good modern take on classic Indian food. Excellent service with knowledgeable staff.
Overpriced, pretty average Indian food. Waiting Staff didn’t seem too bothered.. cocktail was yummy though!
The service was a bit lacking and wait staff peculiar in their interactions with us. They apparently put gluten in everything, which does not seem the norm for Indian food. I had to play 20 questions with them deciding what they could make gluten free.
The mains were excellent in flavour and quality of the meat. The sides were very poor and over priced.
We were very smartly dressed but seated on our own at the back for some reason, where the air con was on full blast and we were cold.
Overall over priced by about 50% !
Good value for money
Great food, service and atmosphere and the tasting menu is fantastic! Coffee could be better though, espresso was served in a larger than espresso size cup so went cold v quickly, latte was also in the colder side of hot!
The server mixed up our pre-fix order, and they couldn’t seem to get things back on track. All the servers seemed confused throughout the entire meal. But the food was delicious and the ambiance was lovely.
Sadly the food was bland and no better than a local takeaway. Cannot see why it was in the good food guide.
