Service was impeccable. Food was delicious and beautiful to look at. Plus a cute little slice of cheesecake with a candle was brought out for my partner's birthday.
I came with a friend and we had an amazing evening. The food was outstanding and the team took care of us. We met the chief and were able to ask all the questions we had. Thanks a lot. I will definitively come back!
We had a Great and very Fine dining Evening at the Tamarinde. The Food was awesome, the Interior very stylish and clean chic. We would definately come back. Thank you.
Excellent in every way
They changed their concept but we liked it better before. Good taste, but too little Indian compared to their previous menu items. Price at high end
Very nice - tried a lovely beer King Cobra which is perfect with curry. Delicious food - goat ribs, scallops, monkfish - lovely naan. Not bad money either. Cocktails could have been stronger!
The food, service and ambiance was outstanding. Highly recommend!
We had booked a table for 2 for their lunch menu.
Service was slow despite the restaurant being quiet.
Were not offered the set menu, had to ask and then the drink was not included.
Food was very good!
No as it’s not real Indian food, not the flavours of Indian cuisine. Coming from a Gujarati
One of the best meals and dining experiences I have ever had. The cocktails are thoughtful, subtle, beautiful, and delicious!
Excellent experience all staff were attentive and the food was amazing, visited for an evening meal last Sat and had a really enjoyable time talking to Ximo about food and wine recommendations watching him create fantastic cocktails. One of our best dining experiences ever! Thank you!
5 star excellence as always - curry and service at its best! And I love the new decor and menu. By far the best curry in London!
Monkfish and lamb chops are a must!
Excellent food. Also, everyone- from the receptionist to the wait staff to the manager- were extremely friendly.
A bit odd. Preferred the old set up.
Foods still excellent.
Great food and service. Exploration of the menu was our key to a fun evening.
It was Amazing. Took my mum there for Mother’s Day and she loved it. The Mother’s Day Menu was fantastic
The newly revamped restaurant and menu is a much needed improvement. The appetizers and grill menu were outstandingly good. The atmosphere and general vibe of the restaurant was lovely for lunchtime. Would rate as one of the current best in London.
The food was incredible and the service was excellent
Food could have been better, was a bit bland. Service was great though
Mostly great except that the wine, which should have been great - a 2016 St. Joseph - was only average for the price and didn't show the character of other examples from the vintage. Pricing was fairly high, but it's London so that's expected. We did have to tell them to slow the service down - bringing food out too quickly has been a flaw of this restaurant on previous visits. Food was excellent on all counts.
Great great revamp of a classic.
Chef and menu are very inspired to update a classic while maintaining flavors but allowing for fantastic transitions without overwhelming at any-point in the meal! Kudos to the chef!!!
Next table was playing his phone with musics playing disrupting our meal.
The remodeled Tamarind (decor and menu) is, in some ways, a step backward. It was always expensive and is more so now. It was always noisy and the new decor doesn't make it any less so -- maybe even noisier. The menu changes are mostly ok but some dishes are now spicier than they were before without necessarily adding to the flavour. The portion of curry that we got for 25 pounds as one of our dishes was painfully small although we had enough to eat overall with the other things we ordered. They no longer give you something to snack on at the start and they've eliminated the small chocolates at the end of the meal. The bottom line is that while we might return, we can no longer recommend it to friends visiting London and the noise level means we wouldn't want to try to dine their with another couple as conversation could be difficult. Given how busy the restaurant was when we were there, they probably don't care but the experience has inspired us to try other gourmet Indian restaurants.
Wonderful - even better than before in the newly reopened Tamarind
An absolutely divine dining experience that was topped off with the resturant opening a bottle of fine champagne and two glorious desserts to celebrate my birthday.
Very loud and service was ridiculously poor. The food was delicious, however, expensive.
A dinner to celebrate a promotion for my boyfriend. Not eaten in a Michelin Indian restaurant in London before. It was exquisite. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
Hadn’t pre planned anything special with the staff but on the booking form I had written: special occasion. We absolutely stuffed ourselves silly, the meal came to £205 with two beers and a carafe of wine. Couldn’t even make room for dessert, but they presented him a small slice of something akin to choc fondant cake with a CONGRATULATIONS chocolate message which was lovely and a surprise to me even, so it was much appreciated. My boyfriend was chuffed and it really was a treat for both of us. Highly recomended
Enjoyed a nice dinner tonight. The starters were my favourite. They packed a punch and full of flavour whereas the mains let themselves down.
For starters we had the chops, paneer tikka, scallops, chaat and chicken.
For mains the Kerala curry and butter chicken were poor.
The carrot Soufflé for dessert was nice.
Good service and good food overall.
As always the food was excellent as also the service. The only reason I do not give 5 stars is that the wine list is far too pricy. I reccommend that the prices for the wines get revised.
The acoustics were not very good and it was hard to hear my friends talking
Truly my favorite restaurant in the world and with its gorgeous new look and remarkably even better food, I cannot say enough about the total experience. Excellent for carnivores and vegetarians alike with impeccable service and a wonderful wine and cocktail list. We were in London for 8 nights and dined there with clients twice during our stay: That says a lot!
To much NOICE. Need to do something about accoustics.
Extremely friendly and attentive staff. This was our first visit to Tamadind after multiple recommendations. Ordered the 3-course meal. I have shellfish allergies, the staff was very accommodating. Food was spectacular. Overall highly recommend Tamarind.
The service was terrible - very intrusive. Ok food. Used to be better.
Excellent authentic Indian food with very attentive service.
Food was delicious, inventive. service was attentive.
Loved this place when I found it a few years ago. Now the dishes almost all contain nuts and there were no real Masalas to enjoy. The Bhindi was undercooked. We did enjoy the Samosas which come 3 on a plate. Perfect for myself and 2 Daighters. Service was excellent but the inability to accommodate people with cashew and peanut allergies is disappointing as they used to do that every time we visited.
This was the worst Indian food we had eaten in the last 24 months. The cooking was uninspired. The species were so uniform that many of the dishes tasted the same. The leg of lamb was unfit for human consumption and ironically was extremely overpriced. While the decor, ambiance, the food raw materials used and service are very good, the food preparation is so uninspired, that one is certain to eat better Indian food in almost any other mid-level or higher Indian restaurant in London. I felt truly embarrassed in front of my guests and had to profusely apologise to them. I had not been to Tamarind fro close to 2.5 years when I had a truly special dining experience. Sad to see how a restaurant can deteriorate to such an extend in such a short time. Farhad Hakimzadeh
Nice food and friendly service but tables packed way too closely together and too noisy to be able to comfortably hear normal volume conversation
It was an overall very exciting dinner with fantastic food and wine. Service was excellent, definitely a place to be and to come to again!
