A little muted as we were only able to order the Thali .. but nice food anyway
Very nice place. The food is good and tasty. The perfect place to catch up with friends.
As always great food, love this place.
Great place and great food. A favourite we return to over and over again.
Food so tasty and service great. No complaints, will definitely return. My favourite dish was the sea bream, black Dahl and cauliflower.
Staff were so friendly and as we eat halal meat only were able to change the mighty taali to accommodate to our needs. It was so filling and even though it is recommended for 3, 3 of us couldn’t finish it! Lots of food and the staff even offered to have it packed away for us. We didn’t need to ask.
Everyone was socially distancing and all staff were wearing masks. We felt very safe eating here and I would highly recommend it!
Food was blend
Food was delicious especially the Black Dahl! It was also really lovely of the staff to bring out a dessert and sing happy birthday for my partner. We all really enjoyed the meal and will definitely be returning!
Fantastic as always! So glad to be back after all these months!
It was a great place to meet and eat. Our table was a bit noisy as 8t was near some sort of vent near the kitchen. Food was tasty.
Super night with friends and lots of great food. Very tasty!
Incredible food and drink. Decent prices. Will be returning many times!
A wonderfull place to eat, superb food and service.
This was our second visit to Tandoor in the last 9 months or so. This time bringing friends on our recommendation after the first visit. The service is first class and the food is excellent. The only thing on our second visit was the music was too loud and not really fitting resulting in a less favourable ambience. Also the main toilets were out of order and the accessible toilet was in a bit of a mess. Nonetheless we really enjoy this restaurant and would definitely visit again and bring more friends!
Great food as always and just amazing value for thali
Chop were as always- amazing
The best Indian we have had in the UK.
Will definitely revisit!
A great evening of food, we tried a number of dishes and they were al delightful. Can’t wait to visit again!
The food was amazing and the menu was subtly creative. The setting was cosy and intimate, and we loved being able to see into the kitchen to watch the cooking process. The service was excellent and we really felt valued as customers.
Visiting London for my birthday. One of my friends recommended this place and it did not disappoint. We wanted more of a grill type restaurant rather than your usual curry house. I don’t usually write reviews or leave tips. We ordered quite a lot of food between 6 of us. The ribeye is the best steak I have ever had and the black pepper chicken was so succulent and to die for! First time trying black dhal and it was really good! I would say I have had better, fluffy naans as it’s quite thin and I didn’t really enjoy the chaat. The team were very attentive to our needs. They have craft ales (in cans) that you wouldn’t normally find in a restaurant especially an Indian which was nice for my friends who are big ale drinkers, very impressed. I didnt remember telling them about my birthday but the restaurant surprised me with a Nutella naan dessert with a candle, lovely surprise. I had the best time, atmosphere was lively and the overall experience was great that for the first time we were all happy to pay the full service charge. I will be back for the tali at some point!
Great lunch meal had and the service was great. The paneer and house tandoor chicken mains were excellent as was the kebab roll for starter. We will be back again!
Despite the challenges over the past 18 months, this place is jus always fantastic. The quality of the service, food and ambience is excellent and it is the perfect post-drinking establishment (just as good for a big party or large group dining experience too). Many thanks, as always.
Tasty food - chicken particularly tender. Good value for money.
decent food a service, nice to see London restaurants getting back to the swing of things
Just such great food handled with care. The range of flavours and their presentation is second to none. Just LOVE it.
Fabulous little restaurant. The service was excellent and the food was some of the best Indian food I’ve ever tasted, especially the lamb
The food here is excellent and we have been several times to enjoy it. But just a warning, despite what their menu says on Sundays they only serve massive Thalis which are great but if you arrive wanting something lighter you will be disappointed.
Mighty thaali was good. Would like to suggest some improvements in the food. Cauliflower should have been cooked more as it was very tough and tasted undercooked. Lamb chops had a bit of bitter taste to it. Gaajar halwa was very runny. Apart from this all other items were tasty and Naans were the best!
Always excellent food (although the cauliflower was a little too spicy for me this time!), great value for money and the staff are excellent, that's why we keep going back!
Whilst the food was lovely, the menu was minimal with no offering of vegetable side dishes except cold potatoes?? Also the menu was not the same as on the website.
It really didn’t work for us as an evening meal in London, probably ok for a quick lunch of very well cooked meat!!
We had a lovely meal for my Dad’s birthday, the staff were very understanding when we called ahead to say we were stuck in traffic! The lamb chops were incredible as always, service was great.
Only thing I’d change.. bring back the Bone Marrow Naan! But the butter Naan & the chilli cheese Naan were also great 😊
Food & service was excellent. But the music was so loud that we could hear each other, although we were sitting close. It was a business dinner, but as we couldn't hear much of the conversation. We had to leave the place as soo as possible and go to another bar to finish our conversation. Although the food and service was excellent, it was deafening in the restaurant itself.
This was my third visit. I love this restaurant. There is a limited menu which is probably the reason that the food is OUTSTANDING! Every dish we had was perfect. To make it an even more enjoyable event, the staff are very helpful and friendly. Apart from the food we ordered Hazelnut Espresso Martinis which are the best I have had in London. Thank you for a lovely lunch.
The customer service was good. Staff was very helpful and attentive.
I'm disappointed that they only offer a platter on a Sunday, which slightly gave us limited portion choice for a group of 5.
One of my mates are vegan and there wasn't much options on the platter for him, even when we requested extras, lots of things were unavailable.
The meats, curry's and sauces could do with more seasoning & spice, of which you expect when going to an Indian restaurant. It was decent, some bland, but far too ''safe'' for an Indian restaurant.
We wanted dessert, but again they didn't have the signature milk ice lolly with the pistachios etc. This was also available, which really just left us feeling very disappointed.
Based on above, I don't see myself or mates returning to the restaurant.
Overall score 2.3/5
The food was absolutely incredible. Full of flavour, we really enjoyed the Sunday Thali, I would highly recommend this to everyone. The service was great, the staff did a great job at creating a nice relaxed vibe even with all the Covid restrictions in place.
Amazing food, so tasty and I enjoyed a delicious cocktail. Lovely afternoon and great service.
Still a great restaurant but not quite what it was. Dal, bread and starters were excellent...the cauliflower however was undercooked and under seasoned....paneer lacked punch.... Sea bream was great though. Still good but not quite as perfect as it used to be. Will return though as they have only just reopened and might be getting back up to speed.
Great food, services and value, will definitely be booking again 👍🏻
Food incredible, i was here 3 years ago and it was insane then aswel.
General vibe and most of the items that we tried on the menu were good especially the Dahl. The only issue we had was with the suggestion that we hadn't ordered enough food even though we told the person who served us that we weren't that hungry. They didn't give us an of how big the serving sizes were so that we could make a educated decision.
