Tandoor Chop House
5 of us attended on Friday night for a work meal and it was brilliant. The food came out really quickly and was plentiful, we ordered a selection to share and it was all so flavoursome and tender, the tandoori lamb was the best I have ever had!
The atmosphere is very cosy but has a buzz about it , we will definitely be going back soon. Would really recommend this place.
Great food, lamb chops were delicious.
Will definitely recommend and go back
Great service. Food cannot be faulted though I felt that it didn’t live up to the hype I had heard about. Great value for money.
great Indian food, small portions but we shared to be fair. good value for money
First visit to the Chop House, certainly won't be my last, I absolutely loved it!
The food was amazing but they could do with another veggie main dish, other than that a lovely hidden gem in London.
Amazingly delicious food! Great service and you could even see the tandoori kitchen behind the glass.
The food tasted great but it arrived cold and we were not attended to at all by staff after our food came. This was a real shame as this really could have been a 5 star experience otherwise
Sadly the good (not great) food was massively let down by the poor level of customer service we experienced.
Admittedly we had a late booking at 10:45 but we were made to feel unwelcome and felt we were constantly being rushed out.
Shame as we had been very excited to eat here.
The food was really not tasty. Also, the service was not that great.
really friendly staff, esp front of house. Food was great and the place has a real buzz about it. Don;t go if you want a quite meal - go if you want a lively cafe/restaurant vibe.
Food, service, general manager and head chef were outstanding and lovely
Meh really underwhelming. Place was fully booked so had high hopes. Duck and chicken were amazing for mains, but sides were a bit naff. Lentil naan was like the size of a big Dorito and the tandoori fries were just fries with a bit of chilli powder on them - boring. Dessert of Nutella naam was mega annoying, cutting the thing was impossible and lacked any sort of flavour. Waste of calories. Service was exceptionally crap, had to wait ages to get anyone’s attention for a drink. Wouldn’t go again, mains were good as mentioned but all in all a poor experience with poor food.
One of my favourite places and I've been here many times. It never fails to please 😀
Great authentic dishes - excellent portions. Good ambience and prompt service at a reasonable price.
Love this place, would thoroughly recommend! The food is amazing, although the tandoor chicken was a bit too dry. Appreciate it's a bit difficult to keep mist. Other than that everything else was great!
Food was good but not exceptional and overall expensive for what it was. Service casual and had to be sought. Booked for 5 people, put on a looking table for 8, lacked planning and ambience. Will not go again.
Food good but put at a table where people having to get past all of the time, so not relaxing. I booked in advance and was given one of the worst tables in the restaurant.
The food was mediocre. The service was not great. Awkward manager. Had to ask for menus and ask to give food orders. Asked for the bill and was given the wrong bill, which in fact was the right bill, they couldn't make their minds up. Unable to serve dessert as kitchen had closed. Overall a disappointment.
Excellent food and service made up for the cramped space and noise.
First went here on my birthday and enjoyed it so much that I have been handing out cards to my best dining friends. The visit this week didn’t disappoint with the lamb being simply divine. Going back next week!
But it would be great to see a little more veg on the menu!! (EVEN though it IS a CHOP house!!)
If you want something a little different from standard ‘Indian’ food then this place works well. No popadoms or rice but terrific tandoor food including scallops and great sides to accompany.
Our visit to the Tandoor Chop House was excellent as always. It was a busy Saturday night and the restaurant very full, but the staff were fantastic and food delicious. Thank you.
We can't stop going here, the food is exceptional.
Our dining group found the restaurant poorly lit and a bit dingy - it was difficult to read the menu! This detracted from the overall experience as the food was particularly liked by my friends who were visiting for the first time. Our table was also right next to the kitchen which was pretty smokey. As the restaurant was very busy we didn't ask to be reseated, however, I would't be happy to sit there again.
Service is efficient, bordering on rushed. We ordered snacks and mains, but everything came very quickly and together. It made it hard to appreciate each dish, the table was crowded with bowls and it almost had us out the door within an hour and a quarter. Hardly a leisurely, relaxed meal with friends! However, I would still recommend this restaurant and return as the food is excellent. Particularly loved all the vegetarian options and the lamb chops. Whilst they are open about the 2 hour table policy, management needs to balance this with a pleasant experience. Most people do not go out for dinner just to eat and leave!
restaurant was very noisy and the kitchen was smoking the entite duration of my meal. the service was terrible from the beginning- when the host “greeted” us, to having multiple waiters who were not coordinated and kept asking us the same questions, and they rushed us
For 5 people it cost £331 which was unaffordable for most of us
Excellent, delicious food as always. Something a bit different.
What great food, service and ambience - superb! Will definitely be back.
The price of the Thali was not worth the quality of the food. Many of the Thali dishes were too simple and included dishes such as seasoned broccoli, seasoned cauliflower. Many chutneys which were bland. There needed to be a rice dish or another substantial curry. The value of this dish should be more in the region of £15
Service was bad. The table was cleared as people were still eating their food. We felt very rushed, and it seemed like they just wanted to get us out as quickly as possible. I also had to ask for a drink 3 times before it was brought to the table.
We had an excellent lunch here - friendly and helpful staff gave us great advice on what to choose. Amritsar lamb chops were exceptionallt good. Warm, relaxing environment - would certainly visit again
Food was great as usual but service was slow tonight with our drinks not coming until our food came out.
Most succulent chicken breast ever
bread and butter pudding to die for
Incredible food, lamb chops were slightly pink and a good size portion for the price. The ambience was great, small and intimate. The staff were very busy but service was good. Will definitely return!
The tandoori meats were excellent. Great location. Fast service. Plenty of time before the performance
The food and service was good however at the end of the meal my boyfriend saw a mouse run underneath our table. We didn't want to make a fuss or disturb other guests eating so we paid our bill and left. Everything before that was lovely just unfortunately seeing a mouse ruined the experience for us!
