Tandoor Chop House
Top food, so flavoursome. Lamb and cauliflower were the highlights. Good value wine.
Excellent service from friendly attentive staff.
Can’t fault it.
Great location for a pre-performance dinner. Friendly and quick service. Food was very good.
Absolutely amazing the food was fantastic, service wonderful and the ice cream on a stick was outstanding
Underwhelmed by the taste of the dishes we ordered. In the end, the price seemed quite high given the quality of the food and lack of taste generally.
Really enjoyed the food and waitress was very helpful.
Apart from the tandoori rib-eye which was delicious and perfectly cooked, the rest of the food was pretty average. The lamb chops were slightly over cooked & burnt on the outside. The chicken tandoori was tasteless & dry! The thali of sauces was pretty redundant as the dishes each came with a sauce, if we had known that beforehand there would have been no need to order it. The masala fries were tasty but were cold. And even though the waitress was extremely pleasant she wasn’t very knowledgable about the menu, she couldn’t even tell me the difference between the breads except for the size of them. I’m a little disappointed as this was our anniversary lunch and I’ve read great reviews. I think that the menu should be more explanatory, I couldn’t order a cocktail because there were no descriptions!
All looked interesting and the food was good but the chicken was served raw and the steak blue (ordered medium rare). It was replaced well enough but I had already eaten some before I noticed. Not a great experience.
Had at least 3 different waiters, no check back for the food. Ignored on several occasions, long waits. Food bang average. Very poor service and wouldn't come back on that merit.
Food delicious. Even though we reserved, we were shown to a cramped table, with others available. Loud din from exhaust fan.
Food was brilliant - just the right spice and bundles of flavour.
Service was great from the moment we walked in the door through to the “happy birthday” rendition and birthday ice cream!
Would easily go back this weekend too.
Excellent food as always!
Great food - lamb chops were DELICIOUS! Service was lacking though, we had to ask for service multiple times. A shame as the food was ace!
Loved this restaurant. Small, intimate, lovely ambiance. Food was delicious. We shared lamb, beef and chicken. We had naan and lentils. Portions are small but quality and taste were terrific. Would love to go back next time we’re in London to try other dishes. Highly recommend.
The staff are great!
Absolutely fantastic all round!!! Food was amazing and service great. Mum said was one of the best meals she has had!!! The lamb chops were delicious! Highly recommend this place!
Absolutely incredible from start to finish. The lamb chops and grilled masala rib eye are a must. Try the nimbu masala fries and the beetroot seekh. You’re welcome.
Tasty and different - portions were a bit small but food enjoyable.
First time in Tandoor Chop House & in London - what a remarkable experience! Cozy interiors with a buzzing atmosphere. We were seated right away even if our reservation was a little later. The servers were very nice and informative giving suggestions to try on. I highly recommend this place to any kebab and naan lovers!
A really enjoyable and flavoursome meal with a different twist. I recommend the Beetroot Seekh Kebab and the Crispy Lamb chops - delicious.
Fantastic food and service. The lamb chops are a must!
Unfortunately the chops were lacking flavour and seasoning, as were most of the main courses. The desert selection was poor.
Fabulous food at a great price point! The lamb and chicken were amazing and the broccoli was exceptional! Great selection of drinks too, not an extensive wine list but a good choice of beer, wine and spirits.
It is a little loud but loved it and would highly recommend.
What an absolute gem of a place. Tucked away and quite small, it delivers where it matters...food and service. The cuts of meat are the finest quality, handled with absolute perfection. It’s traditional style and flavours pulled together with modern twists. Cannot rate highly enough. As for the service, you only need look up to find someone ready to help you.
Great food, must try, we absolutely loved it!
Food was amazing.
Nice place; good food
Style over substance.
The venue and idea is nice but lacked anything to remember or revisit.
The food came out cold and there was very little meat on the plate for somewhere with the same namesake. All the different options on the thali were poorly executed.
There is no music or atmosphere either.
The staff are nice but overall I would not recommend this to others.
Great food! This is my second visit and they delivered both times. Very happy with my visit and the delicious food!
I liked the menu concept of the Tandoor Chop House and their social media does a great job with food photos, I was excited to visit. They are working hard to get the most out of a small space. While I don’t mind close spaced tables, we struggled with the small size of the tables for 2. The menu is based on shared small plates so you end up with a very cluttered space and not a lot of room to maneuver the cutting of your chops on the tiny side plates you eat off of. I felt a bit of a bull in a china shop about to crash things down. That said, the food was nice, with the lamb chops a definite standout. Loved the onion rings and black dal. Ambiance is noisy and busy, good music and vibes. Service is ‘turn em and burn em’, no nonsense and quick paced.
Fantastic food, friendly service and great atmosphere. My favourite restaurant by far!
Overall, the food wasn’t great! I’ve had better Indian food elsewhere. We also, didn’t really have a choice but to order a thali during the time we went and we ended up paying quite a lot for what we had. We wasted a lot of food and money.
If you are intrigued to instagram, good restaurant to visit as visual food is all about it. Seats are dusty and oily, you will find out dust and oil stain on your trousers or dress when you are about to leave the restaurant. Glasses are so scratchy and dirty, not totally washed off gooey syrup was coating the surface of the glass. We have requested to change the glass with this reason and they got the glass back to our table with saying it doesn’t have problem but because of the scratch. Not happy at all with sanitation matter and tables are too small with Thali meal. Taste of food is Okay but but over priced. Not recommendable.
Not sure I would recommend, the food was good, service was good but they rushed us, we were told we had 2.5 hrs, but we were out after1.5 hrs!
Very good food and portion size. Especially recommend the pepper chicken and black daal. Only issue was when I booked I said it was my friend's birthday and when checking in I also let them know. They didn't even stick a candle on anything which would have been nice.
I would recommend, it was a lovely restaurant with a nice atmosphere, attentive staff and diverse Indian menu. However I opted for the Chicken special for my main and the chicken was raw against the bone. I sent it back and they took it off the bill but only an initial apology and nothing else said / offered afterwards. I would go again but wouldn’t have any chicken on the bone. Especially as they turn the lights down so you struggle to see what you’re eating.
Pretty poor quality food, tasteless and overpriced even in Central London.
Wouldn’t come again.
Really nice food and good pre-theatre if you're in the area. Would love to come back and try the Sunday sharing platter which looks divine!
This has been my favourite Indian restaurant but the meal on this occasion was undercooked and cold. After it was returned and I was sent a new meal, it was still very ordinary. I typically have the same dishes. Perhaps it was the Chef on this day. The service is always excellent however
Try the Big Mighty Feast on sundays. You will not be dissappointed.
