In the early 90s we set our roots in Borough Market opening our original warehouse and first shop in the Floral Hall. In 2004 an opportunity presented itself to us – to take a space in the market – it was here we created London’s first no reservations, a traditional tapas bar.

A place to bring the true food, wine, and hospitality of Spain to London’s table for all to enjoy. Since then Brindisa London Bridge has since become the home of authentic Spanish foods and tapas in London.

I’ve been wanting to come here for a long time, however I found this place quite disappointing. We had to wait for our table that I had booked. Very rushed. Food was ok, but I have had better tapas in London. Wine is overpriced. Wont be back.

I have been coming to Brindisi London Bridge for years It’s lost its edge since Covid and value for money it certain isn’t To only have a table for 1 1/2 hours when you travel 3 hours to meet up with friends and then wait 15 mins to be served makes you wonder why you bother £18.00 for a lamb dish which was square (odd shape for lamb ) which was the size of a mars bar with 6 beans around was overpriced … it did taste good but stupid price and size .

Met a friend for dinner here last night. I had pre-booked and informed TB it was her birthday. The food was delicious as was the house wine! It was busy and quite noisy but we could still chat easily and couldn't hear the tables around us conversations. Our waitress was a complete darling, offered recommendations, friendly, attentive. At the end we selected a free pudding (for my friend's birthday) and our waitress brought it out with a candle. It was a perfect evening - thank you!

The venue is located in a busy, foodie area. We sat in the restaurant on a table but with hindsight I should have chosen to either sit on a raised table or outside as it was too noisy for me. The food, although pricey, was delicious. Gorgeous blend of goats cheese and honey; another chilli with Montenegrin cheese and the chilli prawns were fantastic. The venue however was crowded and loud to a point of being uncomfortable; recommended sitting on a raised table if you want to hear what your dining guest/s are saying!

Another fabulous meal at Brindisa. We went all out and had quite a few dishes, as nothing has ever let us down before and it was the same once again. We had the padron peppers, chiperones (squid), croquettas, huevos rotos, gambas alioli, salt cod stuffed peppers, sardines, pan con tomate all washed down with a cold refreshing jug of cava sangria. Everything was tasty, cooked fresh and amazing. Staff were very friendly as usual. Wasnt overly busy as was a weekday, and sitting inside by the open windows gave that little bit of bring abroad feeling we all enjoy despite being in the middle of London, and was a blessed relief from the stifling heat! Watching the world go by, perfect :-) Cannot wait to return.

We were 2 of us but the person attending to our table decided to only discuss the menu and order with my guest rather than myself (depiste me being the hostess amongst the 2 of us). It was as tough I wasn't even there! It was quite offensive for me and will not come to this place for this reason alone - I prefer inclusive environments. The food however was excellent.

The food was delicious but super expensive for what it was. I booked in advance but was given a cramped table that was uncomfortable. We were so close to other diners, that it felt awkward having a conversation. It was also clear that we were being rushed. The staff hovered over tables constantly and I never felt relaxed. They were just waiting for us to leave. Not the staff’s fault - it’s definitely pressure from management. It’s understandable that restaurants want to accommodate as many customers as possible but it ruins the experience for everybody when you create a cramped and rushed atmosphere.

Hi Ash, thanks for your review -I'm very sorry to hear you felt rushed and cramped, although given its location and usually walk in only it is a more typical Spanish style bar in terms of speed and experience, however it should be a cosy, bustling enjoyable atmosphere which clearly it wasn't, so for this I'm very sorry and will pass your comments on to the team. Very noisy - tables very close together and loud music made it Almost impossible to hear the waiter or my companion. Food was tasty but quite pricey for what it was.

All the food at this popular tapas restaurant was fresh and nicely prepared - some dishes seemed better value than others, such as the Spanish omelette and tomato salad while others seemed a little expensive such as the six thin stalks of asparagus for £12. The service from our waiter was outstanding despite the place being very busy. The white house wine was acceptable and reasonably priced - and we were invited to sample it first - so overall I recommend Brindisa London Bridge. The bill came to just short of £100 for three, including a carafe of house wine and a soda.

We booked a table for 4 at 5pm for an early supper. The food was fantastic, especially the Grilled Chicken with Lemon & Olives, the butterfly sardines and the sizzling Gambas with garlic were outstanding; all other dishes were great too. Service is a bit erratic. It's not attentive enough; our first food arrived before our drinks for example. I felt we had to keep searching out a waiter rather than be offered our next drink, plate etc. However, when anything was delivered it was excellent.

Arrived with 2 small children at 4:20pm and restaurant was approx. 20% full. I didn't have a reservation as I wasn't aware they took bookings. Was greeted by a very unprofessional and unfriendly front of house who was extremely rude. She informed me that if I didn't have a reservation, the restaurant was fully booked. I looked at all the empty tables and asked politely, "you're fully booked but have all these empty tables?". Her response "yes, bookings from 5pm so unless you only spend 30mins on a table, we are fully booked". We walked 2 metres away from the restaurant and my gut instinct was to check the website and they had a table available for 4:45pm! With two hungry and tired 5 year old kids, I booked the table and went back to the restaurant. I politely informed the same front of house host that we had a table booked and she pulled out a tablet to "check". She then proceeded to say that she had to check whether the table was "ready". It was beyond ridiculous when the restaurant barely had approx. ~15 people seated and countless empty tables. She came back and seated us at 4:30pm and the attitude/tone in which she spoke, was beyond hideous. I have never come across a host that has been so unprofessional and can only put it down to the fact that we were turned away without a "booking" because I was alone with 2 small children. The tapas was very average and not worth the expense. If you're in the area, Jose on Bermondsey Street is far better quality and service is always amazing. Barrafina in Soho also much better. Amazing how restaurants like this keep such unprofessional people employed. The host was rude, arrogant and totally power tripping. Had I not been with the children, I would have confronted the host but did not want to get into an argument in their presence. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone dining children. There are better restaurants in the same location with courteous staff and better food.

Service a bit slow, took a while to get our orders, I had to go the desk to speak to the waiters to get their attention. Food was very good especially the prawns in garlic and chilli oil, the pork was very tender and the octopus was nice. Didn’t enjoy the patas bravas that much, or the tomato bread, tomato was a bit tasteless and needed salt. Loved the goats cheese cheesecake and you can’t taste the goats milk at all, definitely recommended. A little bit pricy but good food overall. Want to go back for the pork and the cheesecake.
