NEW YEAR'S EVE AT BRINDISA 🥂
Get a complimentary 'Fizz Año Nuevo' cocktail when booking before 28th Dec quoting 'BrindisaNYE'. We'll have the traditional Spanish 12 Lucky Grapes to celebrate!

You’ll find us where the buzz of Soho and Chinatown meets the bright lights of Piccadilly and Leicester Square. Our tapas menu is all about cooking on fire, inspired by the Asadors of Northen Spain.

At the heart of our restaurant is a 360-degree counter bar and kitchen so you can admire the theatre of service. It’s the perfect spot for pre or post theatre or for a relaxed evening with friends. For us, Rupert Street is where we will love to feast – with a selection of sharing dishes from big steaks to whole baked fish.

The are two reasons why we are not very happy about the place, first of all, the table wasn t ready at the booking time and this gave us a very short time to enjoy the dinner because we have supposed to be seated at 10.30pm and not 11 PM.
Second, but very important, we all felt sick after dinner.... Nothing else to say!!! Too bad because the ambience was nice and the menu is good as well, but I Don t think I wanna feel sick again!

We went to Brindisa for our New Year's Eve dinner.

The manager was very nice and she gave us some welcome cocktails and grapes to celebrate the Spanish end of the year in the traditional way, which was really fun. Our young waiter was extremely nice and we were set to have a good night.

However, we witnessed a scene that made us feel UNCOMFORTABLE for the rest of our evening.

Right before we made our order, the senior waiter started telling off the young waiter in front of the customers. Not only is this very unprofessional and speaks badly of the restaurant and of the senior waiter, but it also made the customers look at each other and feel very uncomfortable. Taking advantage of your seniority position at work to humility a junior employee publicly is considered bullying, and whatever mistake the young waiter had made does not justify such behavoiur in a country that empowers human rights regardless of gender, race, position or age.

No job or task is so important to have to humiliate people.

Very sorry to have witnessed that.

Now we also fear that publishing this comment might make things worse for the young employee.

Very disappointed with Brindisa. I know there were problems with the power - but didn't rate the food I'm afraid and had a very noisy table.

I made a reservation here for my boyfriends birthday. When making the booking I added a note to say that we were celebrating a birthday. On arrival the lady that showed us to the table said very loudly that she had received the note, which my boyfriend heard, so it was hardly a surprise anymore.
The food itself was fantastic, very very good Tapas food, but the service was terrible.
At the end of the meal a waitress came over and put a pudding down in front of us, without saying happy birthday or anything along those lines. We thought they had made a mistake and the pudding was for another table. When I spoke to the Manager after and explained I was unhappy with the delivery and service, the waitress approached us at our table and asked us what our problem was. It was extremely awkward and very unprofessional. All in all, I probably won’t be returning, as although the food was delicious, the rudeness of the staff completely ruined it for me.

The chicken was very dry. I mentioned it to the waiting staff and all I had was “sorry about that”. Not good enough really. We dédient realise that the chicken would be served with a mountain of potatoes. It would have expected the waiting staff to inform us.
The menu was not up to date. The menu served by the restaurant had changed despite the physical printed menu not having been updated yet.

Excellent food - good range of dishes and wine - backed by great, friendly and professional service. Would have liked a few more seafood dishes but appreciate the menu changes.

The food here is very overpriced and pretty average. You can definitely find better value, more interesting Spanish food in London. Service a little innatentive.

Food was very tasty, but service was poor. Waited 15 mins just to make our first drinks order, then had to wave someone down each and every time we wanted to make an order or request the bill. Staff were pleasant when we were attended to, but gaining their attention was hard work. Very much regretting forgetting to remove the 12.5% additional service change.

Extremely poor quality of cooking and presentation. Even very simple and classic Spanish tapas were disappointing due to low quality products and inadequate preparation.

I had to ask for the Theatre menu. How many other customers pay for the a la carte when a cheaper option is available? The Theatre menu is good value for the West End: plenty on the plate and tasted OK. It was let down by being oily: there was a puddle left on the plate from the oily dressing and oil from the meat and fish ( the dorada was actually very nice, but let down by the cooking.)
It is very much chain restaurant food. My experience did not encourage me to go back and try the a la carte.
If you want to fill up for a tenner in the West End it's great, but that's about it.

Not a great experience, our order was taken wrong and we got the smaller plate of jamon (£11) rather than the larger (£22) that we thought we had ordered. We were shocked at the portion size together with the poor quality of the meat. Thankfully this misunderstanding was cleared up but it still wasn't worth it based on the quality of the meat. We were promised complimentary desserts and/or coffees but those never materialised so we gave up. The rest of the food and wine was tasty but expensive for what it was. Try Jose Pizarro instead.

The food at Brindisa never ever disappoints! Gambas al aijilo were incredible, as was the lamb, and the croquetas! The cheese plate was also delightful! Only improvement Brindisa could make is with the drinks- aperol spritz too flat and too bitter, hot chocolate too watery!

Very disorganised, there was not a table for us when we arrived, despite booking one. When they had a table and told us it was not set so we had to stand there watching them clear the table and set it again. Then they set the table for five when we had booked for six so had to tell them that. Ordering the food was disorganised, we had several different waiters it took a long time to get the food. There was not enough cutlery nor were there any napkins. We had to ask for both, once we got the napkins there were not enough for all of us. They got the orders wrong and we had to ask several times, food did not arrive at the same time. When we wanted to pay we had to pay by the hostess area, as the waiter had disappeared.

Really disappointing experience, have been to other Brindisa and they have been fine. This one was disorganised and without any processes.

Great food as always with Brindisa but this was the 2nd time we've dined in the Rupert st branch and we had slow service again! Sat for 25 mins without being greeted or drinks orders taken but service in general after that was good.

The staff were very good to us - explained the dishes and allowed us to taste the sherry, but they appeared extremely rushed in the pre-theatre slot and this led to some confusion and delays. Not to worry, the food was delicious.

We used to come quite often, our go to Spanish restaurant next to Boqueria and Barrafina. “We’ve changed our menu” I was told the last time I visited and it will be the last time. Lots of high quality ingredients dishes gone, classic tapas tasted like a fast food chain and now the best - 6£ for 3 small croquettas. This is not only for London standards expensive, this is a rip-off. This is double as expensive as all of the competitors with lower quality. Brindisa - I really enjoyed coming to you but on your way being a Spanish chain in London you’ll need to go with potentially less customers. Cannot and will Not recommend to go there anymore.

Didn’t live up to expectations. Arrived for reservation at 5pm on Friday and we were the first to arrive. The waiters were being debriefed and our table for 8 (2 tables moved together) wasn’t ready. We were also placed near the back as the front can’t apparently do larger tables. Service was good thereafter and most of the food tasty, however the menu is somewhat limited and the black pudding dish came out very luke warm twice. London Bridge version is more of a hit with our group.

I love love love Brindisa. I brought my partner with me for the first time - we spend a lot of time in Spain - and he loved how authentic the food was. As always, very single dish was outstanding and the wine was on-point. We'll be back soon!

Half of the order was forgotten a couple of times, so we had to rush through it as we had somewhere to get to (and we had timed well to start with). The staff was friendly, but overall a very chaotic night for them and we did not really enjoy the dinner. Food was ok, I remembered it better from previous visits to the other branches. For what it was, price was too high (would have expected a discount after the service hiccups, but did not happen...), as high as Barrafina where the rest of the experience is not comparable at all though.
