Taris on the Water

Welland bowl! I am on a diet that restricts me from anything fun.. So I appreciate an option like this where the taste is great with simple ingredients. Very good, and will order again diet or not!

I had the pleasure of experiencing dinner in the outside igloos. Server was delightful, entrees were a little bland especially since we ordered the filet mignon, and the salmon was over cooked. Server did not come to check on us when we got our apps or entrees to see if we were enjoying it; I would of had to go inside to talk to her. It was a very special occasion, as a manger at a fine dining restaurant, a nice gesture is usually given but maybe that’s not something you do for your customers. I put a 25$ deposit down to make sure was able to enjoy the heated igloos. After I got home, noticed that the deposit was not taken off of the bill. Tried calling next day; no answer and wasn’t able to leave a voicemail. I would only come back for the igloo experience and apps.

One of the best places I’ve ever eaten. I don’t even write reviews when I try somewhere new and this is the kind of place that leaves a lasting impression. This is the kind of place you’ll be thinking to visit again as you take the last bite of your meal.

I was very impressed with the service and food was delicious and reasonably priced.

Great atmosphere, food was delicious, we all had the 10oz filet mignon steak which was cooked to perfection.

The food was good but we were disappointed with the limited menu
We were seated close to the kitchen and it was very loud.
Overall, it was good but we had originally booked outside and they should have had the bubbles ready as it is November

generally the welland bowl has always been exceptional unfortunately this time not so also my husband had the pork sandwich with fries which were not hot...we returned both ...I guess this happens once in awhile....

The food was good staff friendly. I have eaten before and felt the food was better in past. Could have been choice or time of day.

Excellent lunch with girlfriends. Tasty burger and lots of choices on their menu.

Taris has outdoor seating available in a covered tent for the winter months. There are large, movable heaters that they can rearrange to be close to your table. However, only half the table (party of 4) really could feel any warmth from them... and it was rather cold for the rest of our group (tent is still open to the elements on one side next to the building). The food was well done but for the price of our bill and amount of food it felt like we did not get a good value. A place I’m glad we tried once and could support a local business in the process.

I was pleasantly surprised. 1st time visit. Our server was great and the meal was well prepared and cooked to temp. The ambiance was fantastic, we didn't feel rushed and overall my wife and I had a good time. All is well and good in Welland.

It was a beautiful day ...the last of the warm weather ...the food was excellent our server the best and even the manager helped out....We have been there many times and each time was a good as the previous time...We will return again... We had beef tenderloin with mushroom sauce. It was tender and delicious and perfectly cooked. The Caesar salad was also very good. The service was great with just the right amount of attentiveness. We chose to eat inside although there were bubbles set up outside. We found the ambience inside so pleasant as the canal and lift bridge were visible just outside the window.

Great onion soup, great beef pot pie with root veggies...very filling....waiter was great, social distancing made easy with plexiglass partitions between the booths...sat inside as it was cold and rainy...Everything tasted fresh, nice decor, I had been there twice before, my friend was quite impressed and it was her first time. Waiter did not rush us, different times for sure....

We went with my wife and friends for their anniversary and really enjoyed it!

As we had decided to sit on the patio and although we had warm clothes on, we had imagined that the heaters would have been on. Too bad as it was lunch time and you don't turn heaters on till night. When I called to ask if you had heaters the person on the phone said yes you did, but failed to say they don't turn them on a lunch.
So glad we had our boots and heavy socks on.

Otherwise the experience was great!

The ambience is great, the view unparalleled. Interesting menu with wonderful food. If you haven’t been, it’s well worth a visit!

Food, value and service were outstanding. Four women celebrating a birthday so lots of talking and the server was friendly, patient (cuz we take forever to decide!) and prompt. The COVID precautions taken were exceptional and we all felt safe. The food was served piping hot and we will definitely be back.

Superb outdoor patio, heated in cooler weather, overlooking the old Welland Canal and the Main St. lift bridge, colourfully-lit at night.

We had ribs/roasted veg and Salmon - both very good.

This was the first time being there and it was a very nice evening. My wife and I are looking forward to returning in warmer weather to enjoy the outdoor patio experience.

Our lunch was delicious. Ate outside. Server was super.

Everything was delicious! From the drinks, appetizers, main dish & dessert. Please eat here, you will not be disappointed.
