We enjoyed all four courses immensely, especially the mushroom tart and the juice that came with, which was a delicious punch of umami flavour. Perfect amount of food and timing of each course. The only minor things that could have been better would have been the temperature in the restaurant (I was so cold I kept my coat on the whole time) and if the view of was not obstructed by the concrete art gallery.

Overall creative food and mostly well executed. The meat set menu was nice but we find the Kangaroo although cooked nicely, it would have been good if sealed, flavour was not very well balanced for this dish. I had the plant based menu, overall good combination of texture and visual but for the custard and main both were taken over by the acidity. Sorbet was maybe a little too strong in alcohol but rest was lovely.

The setting was utterly delightful and the day was magnificent. It was a fixed menu (one for carnivores and another for 'vegivores') - spread over four courses - an appetiser, a fish course, a meat course and a dessert. Nicely prepared and well presented but expensive for what it was. The wine selection (which was not included in the fixed price) was quite thin given it was a winery restaurant. I wouldn't say it represented good value for money,

Biggest concern, waitress didn’t even hygiene the table after guests left and just a simple wipe on the table, the. cutlery got out on again for the next table. Omg!!
Service couldn’t be more average, went on new year day, not much greeting from the man at the front, can’t feel the welcome.
The Waitress in blond hair with fake eyelashes, served us the main, just put down the plates, whiteout A WORD OF INTRODUCTION OF THE COURSE. Omg

The food, the view and the wine ensure that the experience will please even the fussiest diner. The vegan 4 course degustation menu was sublime probably due to the chef using produce from the wineries extensive vegetable patch! The wine pairs beautifully and the service is discreet and allows for a leisurely experience. We will be back!

Brilliant, perfectly cooked, inventive meal, superbly presented. The trout and kangaroo were especially delicious, but the whole set menu was delicious. Service was unobtrusive and excellent. Ambience was relaxed and not too noisy. Other customers looked happy and relaxed too.

Simply outstanding vegan food, a separate printed plant based menu, each dish extremely creative and superbly balanced. The best fine dining vegan we have ever had by far. They have a vegan chef - he deserves some kind of vegan reward! So good to see that the food now equals the divine building and surroundings. Service was also very good.

Every Christmas we enjoy lunch at a different winery restaurant in the Yarra Valley and I would have to say that this has been our favourite without a doubt. The location, views, food and service are all first class. After dinner we enjoyed our coffees in a very nice outdoor setting overlooking the beautiful valley.

We will no doubt return.

Both myself and my guest were impressed with all aspects of our day and the dining experience.

I would be happy to recommend TarraWarra to any of my associates as a special dining opportunity that combines excellent customer service, wonderful ambience, a menu that reflects a chef and staff who are proud of their skills and creativity and their desire to expand and challenge the palate of their customers.

An additional benefit of TarraWarra was the setting, views and architectural creativity displayed by its designers and owners in delivering a wonderful vista in a contemporary and delightful environment.

The food was really good but underwhelming in regards to portion size. The service was poor, long wait in between courses, waited 30 minutes for dessert and we weren’t even offered coffee or tea. The manager was not friendly at all. Didn’t even asked us how was the meal. Just wanted us to pay and get out of the restaurant.

WE had an outstanding degustation lunch at Tarrawarra and enjoyed the day after nearly 12 months from our daughters Christmas 2019 gift . Really good service and wines with lunch in beautiful surrounds.

My husband and I loved everything about our visit - the food was exceptional and wine was amazing. We felt a very warm and welcome and the service was outstanding. We will be back to try a picnic on the grass!

Lovely peaceful atmosphere.
Dined on a Friday for lunch.
Service was attentive but not intrusive.
Food was fine dining degustation, but not pretentious or intimidating due to the down to earth service from Jade.
