The bar provides an intimate atmosphere, inviting guests to relax and enjoy the extensive cocktail menu. Each one of our diverse cocktails is inspired by the designs of different body artists with their own unique styles and unusual flavour combinations. A detailed wine list and bottle serve menu are also available.
Tattu takes inspiration from body art and its rich history, inviting guests on a sensory journey from East to West, delivering a unique experience unlike any other.
Excellent food and service- our server Charlie was superb. Can’t wait to visit again next month
First diners of the day and straight to the cocktail list then shown to our table and given a full run down of the seasonal menu. You can’t go wrong with whatever you order here, the food is outstanding. The ambiance, fragrant scent, friendly, relaxed yet luxe feel to the restaurant was a complete experience. We celebrated our wedding anniversary and went to town, well worth the dosh! 5*
One happy customer 😁
The crispy pork belly is the best I have ever tasted compared to among all chinese restaurants.
Came here for my 30th and it was by far the worse experience ever I received when dining out... food isn’t nice however it’s overly expensive.. also I came with 11 people and was told we had to have a set menu which the set menu wasn’t anything anyone of us eat. manager wasn’t helpful, didn’t care that there was 11 ppl willing to buy food just not from their set menu.. only thing that was nice there is the decorations.. this restaurant isn’t for black peoples also.. I would never go back even if the food was for free.. and if you have sense you wouldn’t go there either.. I asked for 2 tables and was refused it.. was a very horrible experience 😩 Ps the rating is defo fixed believe me they got their working or family member leaving them all that 5star.. for decorating its 5star but for food it’s - -1.. only them ppl looking for likes on Instagram will think this place is nice.,
Good service but too salty. Unlike Chinese food at all.
Firstly the design and decor of Tattu alone is just out of this world. So beautiful, and quite hard to find Chinese food done at this level - our dishes were lovely, and not stupidly expensive. We had a French lady looking after us, unsure of her name, but she was lovely also. Attentive and informative. Great experience.
Fabulous loved everything about this restaurant and have eaten some wonderful places around the world but Tattu is right up there amazing !!!!!
I have eaten twice at Tattu in the past week and both were different experiences. I think it is a great concept, but some of the food could be improved. I have cooked oriental food for almost thirty years, being married to a Malaysian, so I understand the food, but felt it lacked some depth. A beautifully conceived restaurant though we lovely attention to detail.
Excellent ambience and the food was excellent. The person who served us did not mention that they had run out of lobster which I had ordered. The rest of the prople in my group received the mains but mine did not come. I enquired about 5 minutes and they said I had not ordered. She went back to check and one of the other servers came and just wanted to reinforce that it was our mistake and we had not ordered. She was not willing to listen to us and sounded really abrupt. She siad that they had 600 guests yesterday and so had run out of the lobster. If that was the case the lady who took our order should have stated that as soon as I ordered the lobster. To compensate they served me lobster prawn toast.
Perfect for those insta obsessed folk chasing likes and followers. Definitely not ideal for those who actually appreciate the taste of their food, as you could probably buy something nicer from a Chinese take away for a lot less! The food was mediocre and lacked flavour for the extortionate prices, as were the drinks. Some of the plates we ordered even came out cold!
To begin our fabulous Tattu experience, we were left waiting for at least 30minutes for our reserved table. The waiter then told us one of our plates was unavailable due to insufficient ingredients, but shortly after decided to bring it out anyway. The flavour and quality of the food didn't match the prices or elegance of the restaurant. This means you'll likely feel deflated after one bite! We definitely did, especially after one bite of the cold and hard crispy shredded chilli steak (with no chilli by the way). The only item we would go back for is the seared Tuna. This dish was perfect. Our experience ended with an incorrect bill and another 30minute wait for the staff to resurrect their error!
The presentation of the food was decent and the decor of the restaurant was elegant. If you enjoy a good gimmick then this is definitely the place for you!
A late birthday lunch for four of us. Wow, what an amazing place. This is not a standard Chinese eatery with the usual fare you might expect. Instead, it’s a high end restaurant serving incredible food, cocktails and an impressive wine list. The decor is stunning and elegant with an acceptable noise level. I’m definitely planning my next visit and my friends are planning trips with their families, can’t wait to return.
All around excelllent will definitely be returning, from the decor to the service.
The vibe inside Tattu was really nice, good music selection and the food was outstanding.
Only slight moan would be the table was a little small, with all our food and drinks on it was a slight squeeze but nothing to worry about.
Although all three of our starters were over cooked and a bit rubbery. The mains were lovely though.
There's not enough halal options and some of the ingredients that were halal had ingredients that aren't halal so couldn't order chicken dishes. There was also one lamb starter.
The restaurant is absolutely stunning. And the lunch time offer is a brilliant deal for anyone who wants to try the restaurant and it's experience with committing way too much money. Loved the atmosphere the store had. Definitely will be returning.
Decor and atmosphere is brilliant. At the price you pay the food could be better but still very good food and great service despite being very busy. Really enjoyed it and would recommend!
The restaurant appears to place style over substance. While the interior looks great, it is very loud, and the food is nothing special. Unfortunately for us, we waited a long time for the food, which arrived cold, and not at the same time. The serving staff looked completed out of their comfort zone. Other tables around us also did not receive items they had ordered.
Decor is beautifull very unique and stands out for all the right reasons everyone that was coming in could help but stare in amazement at the blossom tree in the restaurant that acts like a canopy over the tables. Food was excellently executed. Presentation beautifull. Service was 5 star. Would definitely return. Dessert options are limited on the fixed lunch menu so that is my only criticism but my dessert itself was very tasty.
Decor was great. Food mediocre and service was attentive.
Amazing venue, attentive staff, lovely food. Only minor downside was the smell of old cooking oil in the corridor and this was apparent in the one fried dish we had - time to change the oil
Visited Tattu yesterday for my birthday. From start to finish, this was one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. The restaurant is beautiful, the food was incredible and the all of the staff were friendly and attentive.
Our waitress ‘Ines’ in particular made our evening, she was helpful, informative and extremely pleasant.
I would definitely recommend and will be visiting again very soon!
The place is absolutely stunning
The food was delicious
Our server Marco was pleasant and very helpful with advising on menu choices.
Have the de constructed banana fritter dessert it is mouth watering....
I’d go again but it’s so amazing you’d only want to save it as a special treat.
Beautiful restaurant, amazing food and great drinks
It's something that Birmingham has needed for a long time. Not so extravagant that it's snobby. Elegant food rather than picky. Completley reccomend it
The general manager was amazing.
Very good serve and made my wife feel special.
Experience was great some of the foods I found to be bland but overall I enjoyed it and would recommend it
I requested for some sparkle on a cake or on anything as I took my husband for birthday , but nothing was provided .
Miscommunication with dietary requirements. Apart from that the atmosphere was lovely and the service was good. Food was okay.
There were four of us, on both starter and main mine came late. Especially my main, everyone had finished theirs before mine came to the table.
Food was good . Friendly staff and good service . Lovely settings . The only negative comment I have was that the table we sat on was quite loose and the slightest movement ie getting out to the toilet moved it .. At one point the table tipped when I tried to get back in to sit down . The tables need to be more secure in the booths
Style over substance. The restaurant is beautiful but the quality of the food is average and over priced. I had the Sharing Menu Two. The Lotus Crisps were pointless, Shishito Peppers were tasteless, Loin Ribs were delicious, Black Cod Parcels were average, Miso Chicken was average, Monkfish was tasty, Duck Egg and Sausage Fried Rice was very very greasy and the Pak Choi was extremely limp and lack flavour. The deserts were both very nice. I would not recommend this restaurant as it is poor value for money, however the staff are very nice.
We had an amazing meal, incredible experience - only thing that let it down a little was not being able to get our wine in time for the starters. But it didn’t stop us loving every second of it!

Attended for my husbands birthday on Monday! The restaurant was surprisingly very busy! The hosts were so amazing and attentive and explained the menu really well. I’m not a big fan of oriental food but I must say I was blown away! The whole night and experience was amazing and I can’t wait to come back
Tattu is the best restaurant l have ever been to, its a real hidden gem! The service is impeccable, Ollie our waiter was knowledgable, friendly and very personable. The food outstanding and the decoration with the cherry blossom trees is stunning. Have been non stop raving about it to all my friends! Cant wait to go back again!!
Service was great, waiters and waitresses were also so nice
Food was fantastic, great to place to go with friends, we had lots of little plates to share between us however wasn’t until we was looking through pictures after we realised we didn’t get all the dishes we ordered and paid for.
Sophisticated but fun. Excellent for a special date.
Hi there, Thank you for your kind words! We are glad to see that you enjoyed your experience at Tattu. We hope to see you again soon. Kind regards, Tattu
Excellent food and service. Reasonable price for the centre of birmingham. Will definitely be going there again.
Great experience, more veggie options please, food served was superb and our server Wiktoria was second to none for Customer Service, loved the way she explained the menu and described the dishes as they arrived.
