We had a table booking for 21:30 and were not seated until 22:10, which is very unacceptable given that tables are meant to be allocated a certain number of hours. When we were finally seated, we were greeted by a lovely waiter who was super helpful. However, the food was unfortunately mediocre to say the least. We ordered the chicken in black bean, salmon teriyaki, Singapore noodles and egg fried rice. The chicken in black bean was extremely salty which made it difficult to eat. Our rice was cold so we had to ask for this to be replaced. The Singapore noodles could have been good if it didn’t lack so much flavour but I must admit that the salmon teriyaki was well done. We moved to dessert hoping for a better culinary experience but we were certainly disappointed. We ordered the chocolate brownies but they were not warm, gooey or melt in the mouth so again not impressed. I certainly wouldn’t recommended this restaurant as it’s not worth the hype or money.
The meal and service was brilliant but we had a table booked for 20.45 but never actually sat down until 21.40. They were very apologetic but it was extremely late by the time we actually ate
Great food but not worth the 1hr 50 minute wait . Booked a table of 6 a couple of months ago for 8pm to celebrate our daughter’s birthday, received the first starter at 9.30 and the rest at 9.50 - totally unacceptable . Yes they knocked money off the bill and gave us free drinks. Staff kept telling us we were a priority! , although we saw lots of food coming out past our table. Been here numerous times as it’s our son and daughters favourite restaurant but unfortunately will never ever eat there again.
Went for a birthday celebration. Sat in one of the booths which was really intimate but we were still able to people/food watch. Staff were so clued up on the food. We asked so many questions and they were able to answer them all. The service was hands on and the food was so delicious. It was ideal for a special occasion but a bit pricey for a quick bite out. Highly recommended for a throughly enjoyable experience though!
Excellent for a special occasion, decor and wall art fabulous. Service and food brilliant although the rice took my breath away it contained too many chilli's in my opinion. Bit of a shock to pay £26.00 for 2 glasses of wine but I blamed the husband for that choice. Great night would highly recommend.
Great experience, the place is just amazing and the food is lots and super tasty!
Lovely meal although a little on the cool side. Atmosphere beautiful and service good. Had a good time but food not as good as previous visits.
Fantastic meal for my daughters 18th. Food amazing, great service and lovely restaurant. It’s not cheap but it’s certainly somewhere we will return for special occasions.
A very pleasant restraunt with fantastic staff , the food was delicious although some did come to us not quite as hot as we'd like . Would still thoroughly recommend. Thank you
Food, service and overall experience was really good. We had a great evening. However, despite being mentioned upon booking, as well as a call to confirm that this meal was a surprise, this was not handled well. Upon arrival the receptionist nearly spoiled the surprise by saying it was for 4 people instead of two. She managed to retrace her steps and redeem the surprise, but I was still a little disappointed with this.
There were 3 food items on the menu that were not available (including crispy duck pancakes!) , which then impacted on other items having substitutions. The 1st wine we chose (Merlot) was not available and then dessert we chose which the waitress hyped up as a show stopper came without any dry ice because you had run out of that too. The food we received was nice and dessert in particular was tasty but I just felt a bit disappointed that all these items were not available especially as we had come for a birthday celebration. Waitress was very knowledgeable and apologetic however.
Gorgeous food, lovely waitress, amazing cocktails we have been to both Manchester and Leeds and the Leeds one is nice but the Manchester one is so much better more room and not so many tables on top of each other, can’t think of one bad thing to say about it! Can’t wait to go again next time we are in Manchester!
I travelled up from London we experience great Atmosphere and the food was delicious.
Worth the visit!
Best restaurant and. food in Manchester !!!
Amazing place to go, went for a birthday. Exceeded expectations. Hard to find though!
Very nice, but 45mins late showing us to the table, definitely worth a visit, friendly staff
Waited 30 minutes for our table, asked 3 times, then was moved into a back room with absolutely no atmosphere
For a busy Saturday night in December with a group of 6 I don’t think everything could have been much better! We had a really smart booth upstairs and our server was super attentive.
We saw coming as being an experience and all throughly enjoyed our night! Can’t wait to come back 👏🏼
Great atmosphere and staff attention as we arrived. Cocktails in bar downstairs then upstairs for the main event. Staff offer to explain the menu if you require but as we are discerning diners we knew our choices. Have to say we chose well as the dim sum and scallops wetted our appetite's. This place is pricey but a great place to go to treat yourselves if your looking for quality asian/chinese flavours.
Good food, nice atmosphere but terrible service! We waited 25 minutes for our drinks; so much so our starters arrived at the same time as our drinks despite ordering them well after. We got given our food and then had to ask 2 different members of staff for cutlery. When ordering wine, your wine bottle is kept by the waiters station and they fill it up when the glass is empty. It took a long time for them to notice when our glasses were empty and on the second occaisons, they got mixed up and poured us 2 glasses of someone else's wine. There was also zero toilet paper in any of the female toilets. Overall probably wouldn't return due to all the errors but if they got that right it would be nice as the food is quite good.
Really different kind of place, beautiful decor/design but the food was "just OK" don't think worth the money - the dessert was very very dry - the service was just OK, bit of a language barrier/or lack of listening, not sure.
Great lunch there for my birthday
This is our favourite place to eat. Everytime we go we have the best experience and the food is absolutely amazing.
Great food, excellent service & good atmosphere. Would definitely recommend!
Amazing food amazing service and amazing decor!! Will be back soon I hope!
Brilliant food and great atmosphere. Will definitely return and recommend.
Gorgeous venue, fantastic service and amazing food. We opted for the the set menu 2 which was great for sampling lots of different foods and we would definitely recommend
This place really has the wow factor. From the dimly lit ambience to the projected animations, and from the huge decorations adorning certain areas to the setting of some of the tables in booths, or a walkway that almost floats in the air. Then there's the staff - all very knowledgeable, polite and smiling. They really make you feel relaxed and welcome. Meanwhile the DJ rocked his stuff. Then there's the food. Simply stunning. Served at just about the perfect times - we went for a set menu so it just comes in waves, with just about the right amount of rest between certain stages. If it's your first time I highly recommend the set menu - it gives you a good range of the sort of dishes they do, and they do most of them perfectly! We will definitely be back.
First time at Tattu, really enjoyed it, good vegan options, quite pricey overall but well worth it for a special occasion
My friend and I visited for my friends 40th. The service and food was impeccable. It really is a special place!
The service was impeccable, the food glorious, and the cocktails delightful.......definitely would visit again......the cherry blossom desert with the candy floss was amazing......
Second visit to Tattu it get’s worse every time, rude waitress & then 2 out of main meals sent back as cold, then 1 returned STILL cold, not good enough, disappointed, sorry i’m sure we just pick bad days but won’t be returning.
We had a wonderful time - beautiful surroundings and very attentive staff.
Such a fabulous evening - good food and our waiter was fabulous. Total attention to detail! We had a table for 7 and we were looked after so well. Highly recommend - not a cheap evening but fab!
Great atmosphere, friendly staff, brilliant food and wine. The food was so fresh and tasty. Will be back
Great restaurant lovely food and Amir was a great asset to the staff
Super lunch for my husbands birthday lunch. The service was impeccable and very attentive. Food was excellent and beautifully presented. Lovely touch with the birthday candle! Thank you Team Tattu!
The food was amazing , really stunning ! it was my daughters 21st birthday and our server couldn't do enough to help , explaining the menu , making recommendations and generally friendly and informative We al had a realy good night !
Amazing atmosphere and our waitress Poppy was very friendly and attentive. However the food really let the place down, for £90 it wasn’t worth it at all. It was tasteless and bland, nothing special at all unfortunately. For this reason I would not return.
